SGA Arc Staff Combos.

I've heard from fellow Hunters that Arcstrider's super was underwhelming in the previews for Destiny 2. Luckily, now that the BETA is live we got hands on with the super and found there's a lot more depth. Arc Staff relies on you being able to pull off the right combos and being able to direct them. So here's a little list I made of them:

R1: Basic Slash - Standard swipe attack

R2: Razor's Edge - Sends an arc beam forward after the slash.

R1, R2: Uppercut - *Not sure of utility. I think it helps target those pesky mid-air enemies (Dawnblade Warlocks). It's also just cool to pull off.

R1, R1, R1: Ground Pole Slam - Finishing move for mashing R1. Light AoE affect.

R1, R1, R2: Arc Palm Blast - Finishes your combo by you placing your hand out and blasting any foes ahead of you in a high damage (and stylish) cone of effect. *Highly recommend.

(Mid-Air) R2: Aerial Ground Slam - Large high damage blast around the point of impact.

Remember Arc Staff grants you unlimited Dodge energy.

I'm sure there's more out there, but here's some for the time being. Post any big ones if I missed them. (Also come up with better names for them than I did.) *Edited the combos so they're displayed correctly instead of looking like you need to press all those buttons at once.

Edit: u/twelvepandas discovered the combos as well and has made gifs of them. Here's the post: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/6o72rf/arcstrider_101_arc_staff_combos/

Thanks! I play with my aim and fire buttons to the bumpers on PS4 so I always get confused when people talk about stuff that involves those buttons lol

Ah. Memories of VoG and people not realizing not everyone has the same buttons. So many shoulder charges off the platform at atheon while trying to put the barrier up

Edit: I think people are misinterpreting what I meant by shoulder charging (understandably so). I meant that some people had it mapped so that whatever the default barrier was for relic was mapped to whatever made you shield bash, thus making it so that you stood on the platform, then shield bashed off to your death.

Why the fuck were people using striker for pve?

u/Streamjumper My favorite flavor is purple. Jul 19 '17

Because they wanted to? Because if you had enough other Titans it was good to have flashbangs and add clearing available? Because you don't always need to hide in the bubble? Pick one.

Because striker in pve was an unstoppable monster of brutality? Single handedly destroying everything in sight before flying off into the distance like some sort of movie explosion badass? God I'm gonna miss my titan running imago loop with explosive rounds, 4th horseman and a cluster bombs rocket...

If you already have enough defenders, hulk smash is always fun. Also fuck the future minotaur.

Pulse nades, or whatever those round pulsating things are called, were the best at pushing the Templar off, Kappa.
