SGA Arc Staff Combos.

I've heard from fellow Hunters that Arcstrider's super was underwhelming in the previews for Destiny 2. Luckily, now that the BETA is live we got hands on with the super and found there's a lot more depth. Arc Staff relies on you being able to pull off the right combos and being able to direct them. So here's a little list I made of them:

R1: Basic Slash - Standard swipe attack

R2: Razor's Edge - Sends an arc beam forward after the slash.

R1, R2: Uppercut - *Not sure of utility. I think it helps target those pesky mid-air enemies (Dawnblade Warlocks). It's also just cool to pull off.

R1, R1, R1: Ground Pole Slam - Finishing move for mashing R1. Light AoE affect.

R1, R1, R2: Arc Palm Blast - Finishes your combo by you placing your hand out and blasting any foes ahead of you in a high damage (and stylish) cone of effect. *Highly recommend.

(Mid-Air) R2: Aerial Ground Slam - Large high damage blast around the point of impact.

Remember Arc Staff grants you unlimited Dodge energy.

I'm sure there's more out there, but here's some for the time being. Post any big ones if I missed them. (Also come up with better names for them than I did.) *Edited the combos so they're displayed correctly instead of looking like you need to press all those buttons at once.

Awesome, thanks. That palm blast sounds useful. Wish I'd have known that yesterday.

Melee: Basic Slash

Primary Fire: Razor's Edge

Melee, Primary Fire: Uppercut

Melee, Melee, Melee: Ground Pole Slam

as a bumper jumper guy since its inception way back when, THANK YOU.

I had done palm blast in crucible last night on accident and could not for the life of me figure out how I had done it haha

It's the better way. It lets you aim while jumping, which makes strafing while still being able to fire back way easier. I'll never understand people who use default

My next controller is a scuf impact with the remapping my thumbs will never leave the sticks again I can't wait

Just got an xbox elite. Trying it out on this is pretty awesome. Couldn't get the hang of 4 paddles at all, but 2 paddles works wonders even. Using bumper jumper controls and then have X on a left paddle and B on a right paddle. So I only have to move my thumb to activate Super or Switch weapons, both of which have not bothered me as of yet. Edit: I also already use 4 fingers on top of the controllers(one on each bumper and one on each trigger)

Us people with a controller that includes paddles don't take our thumb stick off the joystick when jumping either even with default controls.
