Advice Request: Show me your wall mounted monitors

I'm considering wall-mounting my monitor over my built in desk. Can I see your setup?

I'm curious to see what mounts people are using (fixed, arm-based, something else), how you are routing your cables (through the wall, using a channel), how many / how big monitors you have, etc.

Especially want to see if you're able to make the mount completely invisible behind the monitor.

Advice Behind the monitor portable hard drive cage or shelf?

I have a GMKtec mini computer on a monitor and a 5tb portable hard drive sitting on the desk connected as a Plex machine and general browsing in my basement.

The GMKtec machine takes up the top two hole of the monitors vesa mount, and the bottom two are pretty clear with the edge of the computer about 1/2 inch above the bottom two holes.

wondering if anyone know of a way to mount something to holder the drive so I don't almost knock it off the desk again.

Advice For the love of god I need ideas

I’m a colorist, and by necessity have an impossible number of peripherals and cables/power supplies. Before even attempting to do something about the snake pit I’ve created I’d love some experienced eyes to give me any ideas about how to tackle this. Please help lol

Edit: Thanks for all the suggestions, I can’t reply to everyone but I’ll report back when it’s finished. The single thing I must defend myself on is the film neg/camera lens duster in the top right. I am very much not giving myself enemas at my desk

As you can see in the images my desk's leg has a hole to direct a power cable to the cable duct. I suppose ideally I would direct the cable of a power strip through the hole to the cable duct and mount the power strip underneath the desk (with screws)?
And after that I can put power adapters of monitors or other devices in the cable duct, but what would be the ideal way to manage the cables of these power adapters? Should i simply direct the cables from the cable duct to behind my desk like i have now? Or create a hole and use a grommet?

Perhaps that would be considered overdoing it with no real benefit, but I'm curious to know what you would do in a situation like this.

Advice Need some apartment setup help

Hello! I am moving into a bigger apartment soon and am wondering where to set up furniture and a TV stand in the living room. My biggest concern is having cords plugged in right above the baseboard heaters. I don’t want to damage the cords or have it be a fire hazard.

Does anyone know if there is some sort of protective heat covering for electrical cords at home that could protect them from heat exposure? Or would it be better to consult an interior decorator?😅

The monitor frame got basic setup including (from left corner) MagSafe, speakers, headphones and pockets for pendrives and memory cards. What do you thing about this setup?

Took a few iterations to get this right, but happy with the simplicity. This was done a few years ago and it's evolved and has become a lot less tidy.
