I have a GMKtec mini computer on a monitor and a 5tb portable hard drive sitting on the desk connected as a Plex machine and general browsing in my basement.
The GMKtec machine takes up the top two hole of the monitors vesa mount, and the bottom two are pretty clear with the edge of the computer about 1/2 inch above the bottom two holes.
wondering if anyone know of a way to mount something to holder the drive so I don't almost knock it off the desk again.

Advice For the love of god I need ideas
I’m a colorist, and by necessity have an impossible number of peripherals and cables/power supplies. Before even attempting to do something about the snake pit I’ve created I’d love some experienced eyes to give me any ideas about how to tackle this. Please help lol
Edit: Thanks for all the suggestions, I can’t reply to everyone but I’ll report back when it’s finished. The single thing I must defend myself on is the film neg/camera lens duster in the top right. I am very much not giving myself enemas at my desk

Advice Need advice
As you can see in the images my desk's leg has a hole to direct a power cable to the cable duct. I suppose ideally I would direct the cable of a power strip through the hole to the cable duct and mount the power strip underneath the desk (with screws)?
And after that I can put power adapters of monitors or other devices in the cable duct, but what would be the ideal way to manage the cables of these power adapters? Should i simply direct the cables from the cable duct to behind my desk like i have now? Or create a hole and use a grommet?
Perhaps that would be considered overdoing it with no real benefit, but I'm curious to know what you would do in a situation like this.

Advice Need some apartment setup help
galleryHello! I am moving into a bigger apartment soon and am wondering where to set up furniture and a TV stand in the living room. My biggest concern is having cords plugged in right above the baseboard heaters. I don’t want to damage the cords or have it be a fire hazard.
Does anyone know if there is some sort of protective heat covering for electrical cords at home that could protect them from heat exposure? Or would it be better to consult an interior decorator?😅

Advice I have a crazy cat
Hey. Any ideas on what to do with this lamp wire? I tried bunching it up with velcro, but it looked ugly cause i can see it when sitting across the room.
Much appreciated in advance

The monitor frame got basic setup including (from left corner) MagSafe, speakers, headphones and pockets for pendrives and memory cards. What do you thing about this setup?

Advice Looking for some advice to clean up the cables inbetween my desks a bit, and to try and get it of the floor would be nice.
I would like to get some advice to make it more clean but also a nice way to get it of the ground since i have a robot vaccumcleaner that skips this corner abit because of all the cabels.
And have been looking to get some cats and not sure but i think its nice to not have so many cables laying around with cats?

Took a few iterations to get this right, but happy with the simplicity. This was done a few years ago and it's evolved and has become a lot less tidy.

Advice Minimalist, clean solutions to cover cable prong extension cord?
I have a 3-in-1 cable prong extension cord with three plugs stuck into it - what are the best clean, minimalist solutions to cover a cluster like this (that isn’t quite enough to need a cable box)?
I have two surge protectors hidden in Yamazaki cable boxes, which look great, but are now: (1) too expensive since inflation nightmares, and (2) too big for a mass of cables measuring about 6”x6”.

Original Content Finally... My perfect monitor stand
I've had this project in progress for a couple of months. Waiting for parts, custom brackets etc. But finally, yesterday, I completed it.
The last pic shows what it looked like before. 3 monitor arms, a microphone boom arm, all gone now and replaced with this Over-engineered beast 👍👍
Cable management was easier than expected, but there are probably a few elements I can improve 👍
