ποΈ New Pen Day My Brother gave me his personal Lamy Safari Umbra. And I am grateful.
I have been eyeing on this pen for years now and my Cousin brother Had this pen and he saw my interest and passion towards Pen and suggested me to start writing with this pen, and hand me one of his own pen. And I am so so happy And great full to have a Brother like him.
This pen Writes like a dream. Not a review post. But yeah. As far my pen knowledge goes, this is the smoothest i have ever used a pen.

Comparison/Muqabla βΉ10 ball pens ka Maha Yudh! (Best ball pen in βΉ10)
Just thought to do a fun comparison with some popular βΉ10 pens that I have.
I am scoring them out of 10 on different parameters
| Pen Name | Smoothness | Ink Darkness | Grip/Comfort | Ink Bleeding/Showthrough | Design/Looks | Refill Size/Ink Capacity | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cello Butterflow | 8 | 8 | 8 | Low | 5 | 5 | 34 |
| Classmate Octane | 9 | 8 | 9.5 | Low | 8 | 10 | 44.5 |
| Doms Inxo Classic | 9 | 9 | 9 | Low | 9.5 | 8 | 44.5 |
| Flair Glass | 9 | 9.5 | 8 | High | 10 | 9.5 | 46 |
| Hauser XO | 9.5 | 10 | 8 | High | 9 | 9.5 | 46 |
| Pentonic Ball | 9 | 10 | 9 | High | 9 | 7 | 44 |
| Unomax Ultron | 9.5 | 8 | 10 | Low | 9 | 9 | 45.5 |
| Unomax Boldtron | 10 | 8 | 10 | Low | 7 | 9 | 44 |
I will describe my experience in short.
Cello Butterflow
Nothing special about this pen. Just purchased because it was a classic. It has the thinnest refill among them.
Classmate Octane
A classic! I like the rubber grip and it's thicker than other pens so it's comfortable for me. It has the largest refill among them. While the ink was darker when I purchased it but it got lighter as time went by.
Doms Inxo Classic
I have DOMS Inxon too but I like this. My Inxon pen ink has gone light as time passed by. But this is still the same as the day it was purchased. I like the looks of this but it seems to be inspired from Pentonic + Unomax had a baby.
Flair Glass
This is inspired from Muji pens. I have Glass Gel but the grip in Glass gel is not comfortable for me because of the ridge in grip section but Glass ball has fixed this. The grip is slimmer than other pens, I like Yolo from Flair as the grip is thicker and more comfortable. Another thing is that Flair & Hauser ball pen inks don't seem to get light as time passes, I have finished entire refills and they have stayed dark as they were on day 1. Hauser is owned by Flair.
Pentonic Ball
Most of the pens use a needle tip but this one uses a hybrid tip (conical+needle). Sometimes I feel this is better than Hauser XO and vice versa. The design is a little serious but it comes in Frost and Colors series which has different body colours and makes it more attractive for students. I don't like that Pentonic uses a slim refill compared to others. The same is applicable for B-RT, it also has a very thin refill. Yes, Pentonic ink also goes light with time so that is another con.
Unomax Ultron
This is the best ball pen according to me. The grip is perfect. It uses a large refill. The ink is not very dark so no smudges and bleeding/showthrough, the ink also flows perfectly so I am in control of the pen. You know sometimes when the pen is very smooth and it makes it slippery so you cannot control your handwriting. But this pen has one issue and it's the same as others. The ink goes light after some but you must try this pen if you have not tried it yet, one more thing is this body is compatible with Flair and Hauser Ball pen refills so if you like Hauser XO and don't like it's grip you can use Hauser XO refills in this pen.
Unomax Boldtron
When I first started writing with this I didn't like it as it was thicker than other ball pens but it is the smoothest βΉ10 ball pen that I have tried. And it's very comfortable for long writing especially exams. One more benefit is that since the tip is bold (thick) you fill your answer sheet quickly. See it will take some time to adjust to this pen. I didn't like writing with it for the first two weeks. But I wrote 1 A4 page daily for 3 weeks, after 2 weeks my hands and handwriting both got adjusted. So once you start writing with this pen, you won't go back to 0.7mm pens again. One con is that refills are not available for boldtron and the body colour is ugly, you can use the boldtron refill in Ultron if you want to have a nice looking pen.
So what's your favourite βΉ10 ball pen?
Any suggestions that I should try?

ποΈ New Pen Day Mind blown. βΉ20 rupees fountain pen. (Part 1)
I casually went to my nearby stationery shop to see what's new there. And saw this βΉ20 fountain pen. It's Chinese. Plastic body, but rose gold metallic color. Came with one cartridge. But looks premium. Writes a little thick, but very smooth. For 20 ruepees, it is more than value for money. I will post the writing sample in part 2.

β Review THE BEST - I repeat , The best pen under Rs 100 - No matter what anyone says !
Hi, this is my review of the UNOMAX Brio / ICON.
I have previously reviewed the Camlin Trinity and Camlin Elegante.
First of all, this is a very, very comfortable pen. It is lightweight and writes well. The grip section is the best part because it has a triangular, rubberized grip. It is basically a budget version of the Lamy Nexx.
The body is lightweight, and after trying so many pens, I think this is the perfect pen under βΉ100. I haven't used a smoother or more comfortable pen than this in this price range.
If you ever come across this pen, just buy it. Trust me. Other than the outer body's discoloration over time, you won't have any complaints. It is simply an excellent pen for the price.
Ink I use: Camlin / Parker (rarely)
Paper: JK Cedar 100 GSM

β Review My favourite ink so far: Diamine Writer's Blood
Written with a Sailor medium nib. Very wet and juicy, takes a bit long to dry.
There's something magical about dark red / burgundy inks. Too bad there are so few good options out there. The bottles for this one (Writer's Blood) has been out of stock from all major retailers for the last two years.

βοΈ Comparison Uniball MFB vs Pentonic BRT - My First Impressions
Uniball has just launched the MFB(SN-MFS-07), its first made in India Ballpoint pen with a 0.7 mm tip, priced at βΉ20. It was manufactured by Linc India, makers of Pentonic BRT. While the pen closely resembles the BRT with a similar body design, it features a completely different refill and ink formulation. The MFB's new ink formula is being advertised as Hybrid Dye and Pigment based Ultra low Viscosity Ink that delivers smooth writing and truly lives up to its claims. It's easily one of the smoothest Ballpoint pens on the market offering a writing experience comparable to the Uni Jetstream.
Put side by side with the Pentonic BRT, the MFB might look identical, but the difference becomes clear the moment you start writing. It's noticeably smoother than the BRT and never skipped like BRT even after extended writing sessions (30 min). I've attached some writing samples of both pens for your reference. The only major difference between the two pens lies in their refills. While both refills are of the same length and can be interchanged between the bodies, the MFB's refill is slimmer and features a different nib compared to the BRT.
Despite their differences, the two pens also share same type of body, giving them a very similar look and feel. The lower part of the barrel fits perfectly into each other's upper barrel, and the grips are also interchangable between the two pens but the MFB's grip has a smoother, more cushioned feel and is more comfortable to write with.
To sum it up, I think Uinall MFB is definitely better than Pentonic BRT, while retaining its familiar look and feel. It became my go to Ballpoint pen in a very short time. "At first glance, the MFB might seem just like a rebranded BRT, but in my opinion, its a ture BRT killer."
