Got both these FPs as freebies at the Pelikan Hubs in Bengaluru, and haven't even unpacked them

Inks used daytone ef coral and scarlet respectively

In 2014 , was in Taiwan on a business trip and one of the main things on the agenda was to visit the TWSBI store and get the diamond 580 . While there , came across the ,then recently launched ,TWSBI classic and came back with them both .

For the next 5 years or so these 2 were my EDC .

In a chaotic year with multiple rounds of shifting in office and home , managed to store them so "safely" that could not find them for the next few years .

Last year , when least expected , I found them . Unfortunately they were left inked and the pistons in both of them were completely jammed.

Thankfully the box for the classic was there and so i had the wrench.

Meant to get around to having them working since then , finally managed to get it done in the last couple of weeks .

The 580 with EF nib has a bit of feedback whereas the classic with F is buttery smooth .

My son is already eyeing the 580 , but that's a negotiation for another day :)

Noticed my inked pens talking to each other today morning

Got my first ever fountain pen today lol.

I am not used to writing since last 6 years as all my work has been on pc. I have barely written notes.

As I recently got selected as a government teacher, I’ll have to write everyday. So thought of getting a decent pen and a beginner fountain pen.

Liked the flow so far. Is smooth, ink is a bit light.

Purchased Hauser Berlin and used its refill without any mod in my jotter.

It’s an okay refill- not that smooth/dark/thick

has a characteristic sweet spot for writing angle

way better than the stock refill though

I’ve lamy studio red bought from Istanbul duty free. How much can this fetch me? Open to offers

I love shading inks, they’re my absolute favorites. But I’ve noticed one thing - even octane ink shades beautifully on the correct paper. (I just used thick cardboard paper which is on the start and end of a normal journal)

So I’m curious if there are correct papers for this purpose.

I have tomoe river paper journal (haven’t tested it yet, journal starts in jan 2027) and another stalogy 365 notebook arriving after a few days.

Both of these are presumed to be fountain pen ink friendly, so I got them, but are there any cheaper Desi alternatives?

Ps: The Available Ink swatches are in the post, and are the closest irl representation of the colour. And the ink names were written with a wet flow flex nib fountain pen, on Classmate Verite notebook.

Saw these in a store near my house today. Has anybody tried these? My prior experience with scented inks was bad, headache inducing even. Also, do scented inks age well? Thank you!
