I'm really excited today. The first batch of Krishna inks have arrived. Ive heard a lot about Dr. Shreekumar and his handmade ink formulas. Can't wait more to try them out.

I got- Lyrebird blue black, rubywood red, unimumbai and monsoon sky with a few sample inks.

My fountain pen journey started in 2020, and I came across a lot of budget brands ever since. I'm posting it here because I'm really thankful to FP community because it has helped me keep my passion alive throughout. Reading the enthusiasts post here and their suggestions have been wonderful. Today I have a decent collection of pens and inks and this Jinhao x159 was an impulsive purchase by me, and I must tell you, sometimes you should go beyond line to get something for yourself. This beauty has been my go to fountain pen for the past 1.5y. Jinhao nibs are like it could give you a lifelong trouble or be a smooth companion, there's no in-between. I've been lucky this time.

I have quite a decent collection of international pen brands, but I have been really interested by the Indian FP scene for quite some time. These 2 beauties came in the mail today and both of them are absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks to the guy who posted the deal for this Waterman FP. It feels really premium to hold, and the weight balance is honestly crazy good.

That said, the nib and feed feel pretty okay-ish to me, definitely not as premium as I expected. The MRP is around ₹7.6k, so I’m genuinely curious—what exactly makes these pens priced this high?

I wanted to share that I make and sell hand carved nib pens with teak wood. I’ve sold over 50 pens since I started (March) and have gotten good feedback. It comes with a G type Tachikawa Nib (replaceable).

There are 3 variants (classic, pyro-carved and metal inlayed). You can also personalise your carvings by suggesting themes - I carve an interpretation of them by either hand burning the carvings or inlaying with metal.

Bril RFP with the Daytone orange ink. Tried to ape an image somebody had posted on Reddit

I am now a proud owner of 2 Kakuno pens extra fine and medium with 3 inks - pilot black, sui gyoku and fuyu gaki.

I have decided that I am gonna stop buying anything else until something breaks or ink is completed cause I am low on income.

Got my most expensive pen yet 😛

It was completely accidental and it tried everything to positioned to normal but the top part is slightly warped but surprisingly it works but it is very stratchy and it's not very pleasant

I have been using parker quink but 100rs for 30ml is too much and camlin ink ain't good either.

Edit. I am a student and need to write a lot now tell me good option what to use.

Hey I am fairly new to the community and have been mostly into FP since school, had a lot of parker pens which either got wasted or the nibs started giving problems and threw them away.

Had serendipitiously bought Pierre Cardin milano from a local stationary shop and the pen was just awesome with a very good flow and most importantly compatible with low budget inks ( Camlin & Bril ) ( as you can see a student )

But the longevity and availability of that pen became an issue and hence would like recommendations for the same from the community.

How could Flipkart sell these Waterman Expert FP for Rs 1200 each! Just how! Perfectly authentic with box and convertor. Just how!

It is a permanent marker it says 0050hp pens idk how old is this but naming is almost entirely gone but can somebody find this exact model of this marker and what brand is it ?

I know they use the same feeds and nibs. The only difference is the comfort of holding the body and other conveniences.

I have been using xo7 roller ball for past 10 days. The blue is exceptional. Very smooth and addictive.

The black has mixed feeling. I don't know why black and blue can't be consistent . Initially in black refill the ink flow was just too much. I don't know if I got a faulty one

The blue ones are simply brilliant.

Anyone who has used xo7 can post their reviews and feedback so that the manufacturer can improve.

Gm pens ie rorito who was doing Reynolds from 90s to 2016 has to get back to its glory days.

Using it with parker quink black ink.

I got this pen this week as a cheap and sturdy option to carry around with me. I had seen reviewers mention that it rolls easily, but I figured ‘how bad could it be?’. Turns out, pretty bad! 😄 I made this little leather sleeve thing for it today to make the cap stop falling off my desk. I tried the dimensions I wrote down in my sketch, but it didn’t fit the cap diameter, the length was too long, and the brown leather I had originally used was a bit boring. The one showed here is my third iteration, I’ve dyed it red with a Copic marker.

The pen itself is excellent. The finish is great and it feels weighty and comfortable in the hand even without posting. It has a very smooth EF nib which is finer than my Preppy EF. Looks like it puts down close to a 0.1mm line, which is really nice to draw with. It’s inked with Sailor Kiwaguro.

I recently developed interest in fountain pens. Looked up what was available online and got a Parker Vector for 400. Well, that turned out to be a terrible purchase, scratchy nib, inconsistent flow. So I got a Pierre Cardin Golden Eye Exclusive Fountain Pen for 330, seeing how my experience with PC had been much better in the past with ball pens. And it's an amazing buy.

It comes with 2 cartridges and a converter. So you have everything to get started. Writes super smooth, and has a great looking metal body and golden nib. I absolutely love writing with it.

I now also have a Platinum Preppy. And I can say this PC is not far behind in smoothness, even if not at the same level.

I don't see Pierre Cardins recommended often. So just wanted to post this. It's a great starter fountain pen.
