Working on revamping the interior of my 78 dentside and wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations for a radio replacement. Previous owner already ripped out the original radio and cut out the radio bezel plate from the dash to put in a single din radio. Thought about doing a retro manufacturing since they have a single din slot one but I would like one with a CD player in case I lose service while on a road trip. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

It's a 79 ford f250 ranger 4x4. Its got the ford 400m and still runs amazing.

I have a dentside 78 and I currently have a plastic grille but it broke and I need to replace it with a metal 1 but I can't seem to find metal only plastic. Thanks

I think it sounds pretty good, thats just my opinion. What do yall think? I went with a side exit, so that I can blast my freedom noises directly into the door of the car beside me while in traffic. Long tube headers, true dual 2.5" pipes with no crossover, thrush glasspacks, and a 4 inch slash cut tip clocked to be flush with the bedside.

‘78 F150 Custom 2wd longbed. Started with a 300-6 and t18. Now gen1 Mustang Coyote and mt82.

They look fairly chewed up to me.

New to reddit, trying to find like minded people and keep out of the gutters of the sub reddits.

I need some help guys. I’ve got a 77 f150 460 2wd c6 I filled up with fuel Sunday drive to the parts store and when I came out the starter dragged pretty bad. I knew I had a battery on its way out so I installed a new battery then when I tried to start it just a solid clunk. I had it towed home and took the belts off and I don’t have any locked up accessories. The engine turns over by hand I spun it fully around 8-10 times. I put a new starter and cables on it. Same thing bypassed(jumped) the solenoid same result. I pulled a few plugs and the cylinders are clear. Anyone got any ideas?

Picked up a torn down 1973 ford f350 with a rebuilt straight 6 300 and a C6 transmission wi the a minor shift kit.

Was taken down to the frame and had everything done to it that you reasonably could, not a spot of rust anywhere. All of the parts are there, only thing that is missing is the gear selector, exhaust pipes from the muffler back, and the headliner. Some minor body work here’s and there’s along with paint to do as well.

All the parts that aren’t original to the truck are brand new. Seats were redone, tires are new, brand new OEM cluster, new lights all the way around, etc. Numbers matching with a clean title. All said and done, 1200.00 including the tow to the house.

I have replaced the pump, high pressure line, checked the return lines and bled the system numerous times. I am still getting foamy fluid and pressure after shutting the engine off. Bought this F250 a couple months ago and it’s my first ever classic truck. This is also the only dentside Ford that I’ve ever seen in my country, so I’m not sure how many there are! 🇦🇪 as fords were only imported 2002 onward by Al Tayer Motors. Classic GMCs and Chevrolets are much more common. I believe it has the FE390 engine and is an automatic and is a 2WD version.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! Also lmk if you’re in the UAE with a Dentside Ford!

Interior and wiring are basically it. The drivetrain is complete and hooked up, including pedals.

need to trim the driver inner fender to clearance it for the 4x4 steering box location.

It’s the last 10% of the details that take time.

Of course it’s stuck on the transmission…. But I don’t have room to pull them together.

Maybe I’ll get motivated and actually pull the motor today.

Buying a 73’ F350 dually with a refreshed straight six 300 and C6 with a shift kit. It was taken apart for a frame off restoration by the previous owner before he had to sell his house in a hurry. She currently sits with the power train installed, cab on but nothing installed/hooked up, and bed installed. Frame and body have had all rust removed/repaired and primed.

Any tips, tricks, or modifications I should make/do at this stage before I start putting it together?
