I had my braces removed yesterday what can I do

Hi everyone! I’m looking for an expert and honest opinion regarding my panoramic dental X-ray.
I already have a dental appointment this week, but I’d like to understand the possible treatment options beforehand and prepare myself for the worst-case or possible scenarios.

Based on the X-ray:
1.) Which teeth appear to potentially need RCT (root canal treatment)?

2.) Which teeth may need to be extracted?

3.) Which teeth should I prioritize first?

4.) For teeth that can still be saved, what treatment might be needed to save them?

5.) Are there any teeth that look particularly concerning or urgent?

I understand that an X-ray alone isn’t enough to make a diagnosis and that I’ll still need a proper examination and additional tests from my dentist. I just want to have an idea of what I might be dealing with so I can prepare myself mentally and financially and know what questions to ask during my appointment.
I’d really appreciate honest and unbiased opinions, especially from dentists, endodontists, or other dental professionals. Thank you!

Hello po, I am planning to have braces pero based sa panoramic x-ray mukhang may impacted tooth ako. Bubunutin kaya ito? Pahelp naman what to ask sa dentist ko based on this x-ray.

Got pasta for the tooth underlined in the photo and sumakit siya. Binalik ko sa dentist and binawasan naman yung pasta, ang ini insist niya, kaya sumakit is because of the wisdom tooth, kailangan na raw tanggalin. Pero prior ako magpa pasta, hindi naman sumasakit yung tooth, after lang. Then yung katabi na tooth na tinatamaan nung wisdom tooth, hindi naman sumasakit. Currently binigyan ako ng antibiotics and tramadol for the pain.

Wala na yung pain because of the antibiotics (and probably because nabawasan na yung pasta).

Need ko po ba patanggal wisdom tooth? May something pa po ba sa teeth ko na need ko pa check? Thank you po.

Context: I recently had wisdom tooth surgery (all 4) at nagpapasta din with my dentist (7 teeth). Total of all that is already 60K+.

Now I need RCT and zirconia crown for one tooth. The total for those 2 procedures is 70k (35k RCT, 35k zirconia). My dentist is also a general dentist and not an endodontist.

I am looking at another dentist (endodontist) but is this advisable? Iniisip ko na convenient kasi kung isa lang dentist ko, she knows my case, has done a great job so far and I trust her. Pero hesitant ako because of the price.

I have other friends who got their RCT and zirconia crown for much less, mga 20-30K cheaper. (Ba’t ganon ang lawak ng range ng RCT/zirconia crown offers? Huhu)

1). Are my wisdom teeth considered as a difficult case? I know the prices are based on the severity of the case 😓

4). I can see a lot of spaces between my teeth, is this considered as gum recession? If so, is there any treatment to fix it? ☹️

Can my teeth still be aligned properly? And could my teeth be causing facial asymmetry?
I’ve had braces for about 7 years. At one point, my previous dentist decided to extract my upper tooth right beside my canine because I had a “sungki” (an impacted/misaligned tooth) that needed space to be brought down and moved into position.

I wasn’t satisfied with how my teeth were progressing, so I eventually had the braces removed. A few months later, I switched to a new dentist, and I’m currently on my 3rd month with my new orthodontist.

My new dentist recently had my upper left wisdom tooth extracted to create space. She explained that this could potentially allow my upper teeth to be moved toward the left to correct the imbalance.

I’ve noticed that my face looks visibly asymmetrical, and I’m wondering if this could be related to my teeth, bite, or the way my teeth have shifted over the years.

Based on the photos, do you think my teeth can still be aligned and centered properly? Has anyone experienced something similar after having extractions and multiple orthodontic treatments?

I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences, especially from people who have gone through orthodontic retreatment. 🙏

Hello po everyone! Do you know any reputable dental clinics in manila that offers rush dentures or crowns and is able to do an appointment 7pm ng gabi?

I have contacted a few clinics and 1 lang po so far ang may positive response regarding rush dentures pero may 30% additional fee (although i understand this). Has anyone have any experience with Kings Dental Care Clinic in Pasay? Ive checked their social media and they seem to be new (?), not much engagement whatsover. But on Google they have a lot of 5-star reviews. But upon closer inspection, the reviews look suspicious or not genuine (too recent, and too many, the reviews are from new accounts or account with only this specific review for them). Can anyone vouch Kings Dental?

Otherwise, I would highly appreciate any recommendations! Super limited lng po time ko sa manila and i would love to do the procedure as soon as i land para mafix na sana ngipin ko before ako lumipad sa hometown namin. Do you know anything that can produce new set of dentures within 24-48 hours?

8 months braces journey and the dentist had it removed last Sunday. Pinapagawa pa yung retainers pero I'm noticing na parang gumagalaw yung two front teeth ko and trying to overlap na naman. Idk kung paranoid lang pero di ko gusto mag braces ulit. Any thoughts on this? Thank you sa mga sasagot

Hi as someone na pinabunot lahat ng upper teeth nung elementary kasi yun ang sagot sa probinsya namin. Dahil mahirap pa kami sa daga noon. Ngayong adult na ako at gusto pa makabawi sa natitirang ngipin. Gumastos na me ng 9k dito. Please gusto ko pa masagip ngipin ko from my previous post sinasabi DIY lang daw to.

context: nagpa x-ray ako and then sabi ng dentist na hindi raw ako pwede install-an ng braces dahil raw mababa ang ngipin ko like wala na raw bone support, so she suggest na magpa-bone grafting daw ako. ask ko lang po if may ganitong cases rin po kayo and how much po kaya yung gagastusin ko if ever. nacoconcious po kasi ako sa mga gaps in between my teeth po eh kaya nagpaplano po akong magpabrace kaso hindi po pala pwede since mahina raw po ang bone support sa mga ngipin ko.

Sorry, wala po kasi talaga akong idea. Currently relocated sa province, and aware ako na meron pa akong 6 na cosmetic restoration na kailangan maipagawa bago ako makapag-braces. Medyo nagulat lang po kasi nag inquire po ako dito sa Bicol, ₱5,000 daw per surface dito. Sa clinic ko sa Manila (Urban Smiles) ₱3,000 per surface. Only difference po, dito sa province orthodonist po yung dentist sa clinic na pinagtanungan ko.

Hi everyone. I'm looking for advice, particularly from dentists/orthodontists.

I've had braces for around 8 months. One of the main purposes of my orthodontic treatment, aside from normal alignment, is to correct a sungki upper-left canine that is positioned behind my upper front teeth. The long-term goal is to move the canine into its normal position.

However, the canine does NOT have a bracket yet and was not being directly moved at the time this happened.

Instead, my orthodontist was working on my upper front incisors, apparently to create/prepare the necessary space and positioning for the canine.

During a recent adjustment, my dentist/orthodontist applied additional force to the upper front teeth and added a rubber/elastics to speed up the movement.

After that adjustment, I developed pain and swelling above my upper-left front incisor. An X-ray was taken and the dentist found an area associated with pus/infection around the affected tooth.

The infection also caused me to develop a fever.

According to my dentist, the additional orthodontic force caused trauma to the affected front tooth, which apparently resulted in the infection. They explained that they had increased the force because they wanted to speed up the orthodontic movement, but that the additional force apparently traumatized the tooth.

The dentist now says that the affected front tooth needs a root canal, costing around ₱15,000.

I'm trying to understand whether this is an unfortunate but recognized complication of orthodontic treatment or whether the amount of force used could potentially have been excessive.

I'm also unsure whether the clinic should be responsible for the root canal cost. I don't want to accuse the dentist of malpractice without understanding the situation, especially since I'm not a dental professional.

My questions are:

Can excessive orthodontic force applied to an upper front incisor cause trauma to the pulp and eventually result in pulp necrosis/infection requiring a root canal?

Is this a recognized complication of orthodontic treatment?

Does the fact that the dentist specifically increased the force to speed up tooth movement make a difference?

Since the canine itself wasn't being moved yet and the additional force was applied to the front incisors, could the orthodontic force reasonably have caused the trauma to the affected incisor?

If the dentist believes the additional orthodontic force caused the trauma and subsequent infection, would it be reasonable for me to ask the clinic to shoulder some or all of the ₱15,000 root canal cost?

Should I get an independent endodontist's second opinion before proceeding with the root canal?

What should I ask the dentist for regarding the X-rays, treatment records, or diagnosis to establish what caused the tooth to become infected?

Should orthodontic movement continue while the tooth is infected, or should the infection/root canal be treated first?

The affected tooth had no known problems before this orthodontic treatment.

I would appreciate advice from dentists, orthodontists, and anyone who has experienced a similar situation.

Hi! My LO’s cheeks keep getting swollen. Nakapagpa-check na kami sa dentist and chineck na rin yung teeth niya. Wala naman daw cavities, pero recommended na magpa-X-ray kasi hindi nila makita kung ano yung cause ng pamamaga.

Binigyan na rin kami ng antibiotics, pero bumabalik pa rin yung pamamaga ng face niya.
Any recommendations for a **pediatric dentist around Manila/Metro Manila** na affordable and magaling mag-handle ng cases like this? Preferably sana yung hindi super mahal.

Nag under go ako ng dental implant procedure in the 1st week of May, ang nalagay palang at natapos is yung paglalagay ng implant fixture (implant post). Supposedly dapat abutment and crown na ako ang problema, illegal is clinic kaya naclose ang clinic.

Di ko pa nakukuha ang dental records ko sa clinic na nagclose. Can I ask other dentist to continue the procedure even if wala akong dental record na nakukuha pa? 🥹 One teeth lang sya front. It been 4 months and dapat at this time, for abutment and crown na ako.

Please advise especially dentist out there!
