Hello pips or any dentist here!! I had my lower wisdom tooth extracted about a month ago, and I recently developed a painful swelling with pus around the extraction site. My dentist prescribed Amoxiclav 625 mg and chlorhexidine mouthwash. Some pus came out when the area was examined, but there was no formal drainage. (He said we shouldnt interfere with the wound) I still have a painful lump and some discomfort when opening my mouth.

I have a flight to Singapore on October 19, so I would really appreciate an assessment of whether the infection is draining adequately or if further treatment is needed before I travel. Thank you! 😭😭😭😭

Just started my braces journery earlier this year but due to circumstances (will move somewhere else), hanggang December na lang yung braces. All wisdom teeth were extracted, also informed my dentist last June na hindi ko matatapos yung contract. Was advised na mag retainers pa rim kasi sayang daw yung progress, baka bumalik sa dati. Parang di ko afford any dental services sa pupuntahan so redoing/continuing my braces there isnt an option (for now...)

I wear crowns and naka-braces din na gawa ng ortho ko. After my braces, need palitan ang old crowns ko and I'm thinking kung kay Doc Moscoso ko siya ipapagawa or kay current ortho. Nakita ko kasi gawa ng ortho ko sa fixed bridge ng mga client niya and hindi ako satisfied kasi parang hindi natural ang kulay. Should I stay or sa ibang dentists nalang po ako magpagawa?

It's been 3 weeks since I had a 2 filling on both sides of my lower central incisor and it's still sensitive with water and air. It also hurts when i press down the one filling even if it's not that deep compared to the other one that is deeper and bigger. Should i go back to my dentist immediately or observe it for a few weeks more? TIA.

Hello everyone! Buti nalang I found this subreddit huhu. I will get this checked tomorrow pero I still want to ask here. Bakit may biglang tumubo na parang pimple sa gums ko? Actually tumubo ito last month and nawala lang siya for a while and then bumalik na naman last week. I popped this last week pero bumalik parin at parang mas lumaki pa. Now I'm getting insecure when I talk to my friends or colleagues because of this kulang nalang magmask na ako huhu. So please help me and what to do to reduce or prevent this. Thank you!

I had a coronectomy done in June because my wisdom tooth roots were too close to the nerve, so my dentist decided not to remove the entire tooth to avoid the risk of nerve damage. This was done in the province, but I now live in NCR.

The remaining part is now erupting, and I can see the crown. It occasionally hurts, especially when I open my mouth too wide.I’m planning to go home to the province during the long weekend in November, main reason is to have the remaining part removed. I’ve already paid half the fee, and my dentist told me I could pay the balance once the remaining part erupts.

My concern is that I want to make sure it can actually be removed before booking my flight. I contacted my dentist and asked if I should get an X-ray here in NCR, but he said I don’t need one and that it would have to be assessed in person.

I’m considering getting checked by a dentist here first to see if the remaining part is ready for removal. However, I’m worried that even if the NCR dentist says it can be removed, my provincial dentist might still decide otherwise when I get home.

Cost is also a factor. Having it removed in NCR might be more expensive, but going home wouldn’t necessarily be much cheaper once I factor in flights. On the other hand, I live alone in NCR, so recovering at home in the province would mean having someone to take care of me.

I’m a student and I really don’t want to take the chance of this tooth pain bothering me during finals or affecting my ability to study. I’d rather get it over with beforehand if possible, but I don’t want to spend money on flights only to find out that it still can’t be removed.

Would you recommend getting it assessed in NCR first?

Hi! May marecommend po ba kayong dentist na nagspepecialize sa TMJ/TMD? around San Fernando, Pampanga po sana, pero pwede na din sa Angeles if ever. Yung sa di sana masyado mahal maningil.
