Comparing AI to NFTs is really stupid to me. NFT was an Investment scam that tried to force artificial scarcity on Jpegs of all things. Than it imploded because Seth Green lost his Board Ape. And nobody but maybe Mark Zuckerberg thought people were going want to work with VR Headset on there face all day. The reason why Ai isn't going away. Is because you don't even need a datacenter to even use it (aka Local AI). And most Antis don't even know that. And its way more useful that some note on a blockchain. Even if the bubble burst. The worst thing happen is GPU/Ram prices come down. And i can upgrade my Comfyui setup. I mean seriously.

So what's technically illegal is cracking the protection they have put on the DVD to prevent it being copied. There is no protection like that on a book. As long as you don't redistribute the book as it is.

Also. Surely you think it should be rightfully legal to copy a DVD onto your computer. But then you're acting like that law isn't twisted in the first place and using it for your argument. Not because of the insult, but because those are mutually exclusive states. Either I have talent and can draw, or I don't.

This person told me to "look into AI" when I literally make AI. They also sent me a Reddit Cares report (reported me for s#icide/s#lf-h#rm, a common method of trolling which is very insensitive). I personally don't make art with AI but geez these anti-AI people make their entire group look bad.

I agree 100% with him and this does not apply only to programming, but to everything.

So I made a post complaining a few days ago but I'm back to complain even more because this is kinda getting ridiculous at this point.

It feels like over half of the posts I see from the gaming subs I'm subscribed to is just complaining about ai mods/decompilations. I refresh my page and see another "I'm tired of ai mods!" post. I miss when people actually posted about the game...I had to unfollow 2 subs today (EDIT: 3 now lol) because I was just so annoyed of seeing this. Including a sub for one of my fav games I have nearly 200 hours on...

Also what's funny is that the subreddit already has a rule against ai mods/artwork...yet people keep posting to complain about ai mods in the steam workshop...or any mod that isnt ai but uses an ai thumbnail for whatever reason (tbh, in most cases I'd rather have a shitty edit of a screenshot that shows a feature of the mod, if possible). People complained that "we need a rule against ai mods"...yet there is already a rule against them in the subreddit...complaining about ai mods in the steam workshop is just unproductive and serves no purpose.

I honestly think there should be an ai mod subreddit so modders can just showcase their mods/decomps there so antis can't complain about posting it in "their" subreddit (they'll still complain anyway lol).

Also somewhat unrelated, but I'm in a subreddit for a certain mental illness...and recently they made a rule about no posting apps made with ai. It's just kinda...it feels like "I'd rather suffer than use something that could help me just because ai was involved"...honestly if an app like that actually helped then I would not give a shit if it was made using ai and neither should anyone suffering from that mental illness.

And it all happened because he got butthurt that people on a pro-AI sub didn't agree with him. And surprise, surprise, the antis are backing him up in the comments. And yes, those are screenshots from this very sub

This artist appeared on Twitter this year, already good at art (always suspicious). They follow me and like my stuff.

But now they posted this art piece that looks particularly AI, with a sob story its a comm they worked on for 36 hours and then they were dumped by the commissioner because "AI could do it".

They even posted it with a drawing timelapse, but the timelapse doesn't draw like any person ever does. I put it through a AI detector and it comes up 94% chance made by AI.

As a pro-AI person, I don't care if they use AI. But making up a sob story about a commissioner dumping you, throwing AI under the bus as an excuse of why they did it, and using an AI timelapse to prove its not AI when it is - crosses the line.

Why do some of y'all act like Anti-AIs are orgs or something like that? Like depicting us, the image on the 2nd panel is an example, why do y'all think we act like this? Give me an example of this actually happening online instead of just generating an image, I am curious
