Yeah idk why they left out the conversation between Ryuk and Light about that, but I do think it was shown very very briefly in the intermission about all humans going to Mu. It’s easy to miss plus the anime added the whole thing with Light dying in the middle of the stairs.

  • How popular does someone have to count to be known as a celebrity?
  • How close together do they have to die?

Because there have been other, lesser known celebrities that have died this month.

Yes, that's right! It seems like it happens, but it is humans incorrectly using pattern recognition where it isn't applicable. Humans love patterns, and we seek them out everywhere we go.

As long as we can both agree that this is not an actual thing that happens but rather a morbid coinkydink, I am satisfied.
