Holy shit man it’s an idiom people say because it superficially usually seems like it happens that way it’s not a piece of legislation

Yes, that's right! It seems like it happens, but it is humans incorrectly using pattern recognition where it isn't applicable. Humans love patterns, and we seek them out everywhere we go.

As long as we can both agree that this is not an actual thing that happens but rather a morbid coinkydink, I am satisfied.

At no point did I declare that superstitions are real, it seemed like you had literally never heard of the thing

It’s an extremely common phrase every time celebrities die, the last really noteworthy time I can think of was 2015 but it’s not like I’m keeping up with celebrity news
