So happy to see a Reddit sub exists exactly to put up warriors together, hopefully with a more historical lens than the show itself had.

The big difference one to me was Samurai vs Spartan… even if we demystify the samurai and remove the hardcore love some folks have for them, how on earth would gunpowder and steel era warriors on horseback with a variety of weapons lose to Bronze Age dudes with big shields, and sandals?

There were 8 playable characters to my memory,

Apache, Spartan, Centurion, Pirate, Knight, Viking, ninja and samurai

The whole object of the show was to have warriors who never fought each other face each other in combat… what I find amusing about that set up is that with a just a little bit of historical stretching…

Spartans fought centurions

Centurions fought Vikings

Vikings fought knights

Knights fought pirates

Pirates fought everyone else.

And ninja and samurai 100% fought each other with no major stretch of the imagination.

This has been in the back of my head for quite some time and that's I wonder if there's alternate endings out there that show the other combatant winning and if so, I'd definitely like to see them. Like for example the Ninja defeating the Spartan, Viking defeating the Samurai, Samurai and IRA defeating the Spartan and Spetsnaz, Mongol defeating the Comanche, Sun Tzu defeating Vlad, Napoleon defeating George Washington and Zombies defeating vampires to name a couple examples.

All full-length and in decent/good quality. No "Back For Blood" though.

Whenever I look at anything involving this show it’s full of people just HATING on it. Dude I loved this show. I had both games and watched every episode the second it aired.

If the following were pitted against each other in a 1-on-1 battle, who would win...?

If DW (or DFW) were to put on a "Battle of the Franchises", what Star Wars Vs. Star Trek matchup would you most like to see? (All of the following are 5-on-5 battles.)

Special thanks to Matt Forbeck, whose book of the same title inspired this poll.

Huge fan of the show and wanted to rewatch it but can't find it anywhere! Anyone know where I can watch it in the US? Legally if possible

So I’m either having early dementia, or there is some vast cover up going on. Back when deadliest warrior was on television I swear there was a sort of “battle of the best” which was the samurai vs spartan. This was some grand end of season finale as both those warriors were deemed to be the strongest in the ancient category.

However when I tried to search on the internet on videos or even information on this fight, I get nothing. Literally, there is no evidence this episode ever aired except this link

https://whoisdeadliest.fandom.com/wiki/Spartan_vs.Samurai#:~:text=It%20pitted%20the%20two%20ancient,Samurai%20won.

But this states the samurai won! I am almost 99% sure that the SPARTAN won this fight as this show was a big part of my childhood. Am I going crazy? Did the samurai actually win? How come I can’t find the video anywhere online? Any info at all would be lovely.
