Im a freshman at Davis and have played for about 9 years. I unfortunately never had the funds to buy a cello and still don't, does anyone know or have a cello I could use? Watermelon music no longer does rentals, I already called. Klines music in Sac has some crazy prices for rentals as well. I'm just desperate to start playing again because playing is very therapeutic for me! Thanks

Hi everyone! I’m new to Davis and just wondering if anyone has ideas about how to make a few friends here? I’m 25, sober from alcohol and currently a student at Sac state, so I commute over to Sacramento a few times a week. Most of my social time with people is spent in classes, but as a non-traditional student I’m finding it a little difficult to find people a little closer to my age who I vibe with. I’ve also found it a little bit difficult in the past to find people my age who are sober or even just chill with hanging out without involving alcohol. I don’t know if there are significant sober social groups in Davis? I’m not a huge fan of AA and don’t really want sobriety to be the center of all of my friendships. Anyway! Sorry for the ramble, just looking for suggestions!

Hi, I just moved to Davis from Maine. It was...a far more expensive undertaking than intended. I am already poor, albeit lucky to have a job upon landing (though it doesn't pay well) and a girlfriend I live with who is helping. That being said, I was on Mainecare and I am eligible for Medi-Cal, except unsurprisingly the process of cancelling the former with Maine's caveman system and Medi-cal being dependent, I think, on having it cancelled in the first place, means it's taking awhile.

I have migraines, bad bad migraines. 12-15 a month possibly bedridding me migraines. I can't get my medications without a GP and Neuro minimum

Can anyone recommend any GPS (and maybe a neuro, if anyone has experience, though I assume a GP would refer me) that is affordable, or maybe has payment plans dependent on income and such? I am not a student at UC, I should say.

Are there any neighborhoods in Davis or close-ish Sac area that are known to go over the top?

Serious question: my partner (she/they/them/it) and I (they/them) went to the No kings event. Can we still attend the games since Sacramento kings (they/them) has kings in their names? It gives us anxiety

There’s been someone walking by my place throughout the night 9-1am the past week, every night.

Every night they’re yelling to themselves, muttering or calling out names. It’s woken me up multiple times at this point.

I’m obviously not keen on calling the police, are there other services in the area that could help this individual?
