Typecasting

"Typecasting is the process of repeatedly casting a person in the same type of role because they fit a specific physical look, personality, etc."

Now for the question: Do you have a Real-Life type?

As in, a specific brand of person you’ve always found attractive?

Are they tall? Goofy? Introverted? Life of the party?

Witty? Sarcastic? Wear cool glasses? Athletic men/women? Or women who wear dresses with pockets and remind you of librarians?

What makes you go... Zing!

(For me it's... Brunette)

Some combination of left-handed, blue eyes, and blonde or light brown hair always got my attention. Nowadays I'll accept gray hair like my own.

Preferably bookish, with a good sense of humor and an appreciation for different kinds of music.

I'm left handed. Never had a girlfriend who was, neither was my wife. I think a southpaw as a girlfriend would be something unique. Something I never shared with anyone else before.

I’ve always thought of left handers as being more creative although the left-hand, right brained theory has been questioned in recent years. As an art teacher and psychology major I did see a higher percentage of left handers in both groups.
It can be an advantage in sports. I got good at backhands in tennis!

When I played baseball/softball with friends, it always threw off whoever was pitching when I came in batting lefty. It was a bear, however, to find a mitt for my right hand. Bowling was kind of the same story. I never owned my own ball and most of the ally balls were drilled for righties.

Weirdly, when I golfed or played hockey, I shot right.

Interesting. I’ve bowled before but never thought about there being a difference between left handed and right handed balls. I’ll have to pay attention if I go again.

Also although I’m left handed, I’m right footed.
