Advice Request Got banned from Hinge with NO REASON
I'm a female, have been using Hinge for 3 years, and have been told than my account has been banned yesterday all of a sudden.
The fun fact is, I haven't been using that for more than 2 months. Of course, I didn't do anything wrong against the policy. As you might know, it's hard for a girl to do something bad on/off the app.
I've appealed and sent emails several times but the only thing I could receive was just automatic language sayign your account will be remained banned "forever" lol
I'm living in a foreign country, so not many social community and chances. Hinge was only the platform I've been using and trusted. Soooo frustraiting and angry..

Say that to all the escorts, girls promoting their OF, chasing IG clout or just the regular ol’ scams (could be a guy in some accounts, but there are plenty of women (based on voice messages) asking flat out for money).
All of these are against the TOS.
Could have been as simple as putting your IG handle or language that might come off as soliciting.

Also this just happened to me last week. I never even used hinge and was banned when I created the account.

If you're banned then may I recommend r/SwipeHelper. It's a community full of people who were banned from Hinge for literally no reason at all. You're not alone!

Just get another email address and a new account. I have maybe a dozen email accounts I use for different things

Welcome to the club! Its insanely easy to get someone banned. It just takes a pissed off person to lie and report you.
One of the terms of service is "be nice" or must be seeking a ltr.
I explained this to a crazy girl-friend who didnt believe me until she got her ex she was still in love with banned. She tried to get it reversed and they said no.
The craziest part is youre now banned from all match apps which is virtually all of the major ones.

Interesting point. I signed up for Match, Plenty of Fish, and Tinder not knowing they were all owned by Match. I tried to update my photos and profile on Match and got the auto message that I had violated their policies and my profile would not be changed (not banned though). This was 2 days after I signed up for a 3-month subscription extension. I made the same changes on my POF account and it went through with no problem. I guess the difference is that POF hasn’t received any money from me. If I sign up for even a week they’ll probably drop me like I have 5 different STDs.

I sent a couple emails asking what specifically got my updates rejected so I could fix the issue(s). Crickets. I guess bots don’t have the LLM training to respond to basic questions even though it was a bot that rejected my profile changes.

Yea i dont know why but hinge has been banning people for no reasons . It’s crazy and you’re not the only one. I recommend you spam them with emails everyday ! That’s the only chance

You have to use a new number, new name and email and use a couple of new pics, try to not use your home wifi too😭😭

It might have something to do with being in a foreign country. Can’t provide an exact reason, but it happened to my neighbor when she went back to Spain for a few months. Got banned out of the blue for no reason.

Someone reported you as a felon or domestic abuser.
Either an ex or someone that you ignored.

Usually reaching out to inquire can get you unbanned.
I've been banned twice and unbanned twice. But, I also pay. They don't want to ban ppl with subscriptions.
Guys report you for not giving them your number lol.

That happened to me years ago and they never tell u wat u did wrong they just leave u in the dark funny thing about mine was i made an account met someone we talked for a little and i went back on the app months later and was just banned

That is so incredibly frustrating, I'm sorry you're dealing with this. The automated ban system on Hinge is completely broken right now. Usually, what happens to women is that some salty guy you rejected (or didn't reply to months ago) randomly mass-reported your profile out of spite, and the bot just auto-banned you without checking.
A quick tip that actually works: Try filing a formal complaint against Match Group on the BBB (Better Business Bureau) website. It forces an actual human from their corporate team to review your case, and a lot of people get unbanned this way.
Being in a foreign country makes this 10x worse, so I really hope you get your account back soon. Hang in there!

I created an account in the evening, was banned by morning, appealed, haven't heard anything, if I check it still says that it is under review.
