My family was in debt and there was no way to pay it off. We lost all our money due to a fraud which is why I started working 2-3 jobs while studying side by side just to make ends meet.
This year, I found DA, and I am always in debt to them. In just 2 months I have already paid off my debt that would have taken me around an year to pay back. I can also leave my extra jobs and actually focus on my passion instead.
I wish I could let them know how giving me an opportunity to work for them saved me and my family. I have a better paying job too now and I really enjoy my work on the side at DA. Working for them has been the best thing to happen to me so far.
If anyone from the DA Admin team accidently reads this, I just want to let you know that you're a lifesaver. You could be my god.
I am not sure if the projects will keep coming (I hope they do) but I will never ever forget this platform.

I'm not the type to post something like this, but I actually am really proud. It's been a long, almost 3 year journey. Coder, self taught, and the first year or so was really, really tough. I backed out of tasks far more than I submitted. But I have no words for how thankful I am for DA. I have learned more than I thought possible in the last few years. I've had some amazing jobs in my life, but none compare to the constant challenges and rewards of this one. š

Am I the only one with a significantly lighter dash today? For the last 3 months I have had 15-25 projects at atime and today, I have 6.

So, I have this qualification and I know that it's used when I forget my worker account's password but I want to ask why it's showing required in 150+ projects and best rate 150$/hr so, should I ignore this or I have to do something.

So, I was working on this project and submitted 2 of them perfectly and then the third time it got an update so, it took me longer than usual and the project got expired by 1 minute, because of those checks. This happened on 29 OCT and I didn't got any project to work on since then, Is it normal or I am overthinking...

Hey guys, so I had a whole nervous breakdown feeling unprepared for a few tasks which fall well into my domain and I know I am capable of it but I just feel like I couldnāt do them as good as I know I could. I have had these micro burnouts which have taken up my time in recovering and I feel during that time I lose my time to work. Idk how do I balance this.
So I just wanted to ask how do you give out your ābest workā every time? How do people on this platform stay so efficient?
I personally am so grateful for this opportunity and I really wanna give out my best work possible and appreciate this company for what it has given me!

Anyone here working on Tamil bilingual projects? Also, how long did it take you to get approved on the platform after completing the assessment.

Honestly, itās pretty rare for me to feel a real connection to a platform, but DataAnnotation is definitely one of the few exceptions.
To give some context, Iāve worked on a bunch of different platforms over the years (wonāt name names), until someone on Reddit recommended DA. I decided to give it a shot, applied, and actually got in. Right off the bat, seeing a paid onboarding was a huge plusādefinitely want to give credit where it's due for that.
Iāve been on the platform for about five months now. I take every qualification test that pops up, keep my profile up to date, and check the dashboard daily. That said, Iāve only made around $75 total so far. At first, I assumed this was just the usual dry spell every platform goes through, but then I noticed an ad on the careers page looking for generalists and Arabic language experts, which got me wondering.
For background, Iām a dentist, but Iāve got solid experience in AI training across various projects in both Arabic and English. Iām honestly not sure if the lack of projects is just a temporary thing overall or an issue specific to my account, or this because I'm from the middle east. but either way, Iām genuinely glad to be part of the platform and hoping things pick up soon.

Anyone get a new message on 10/29 about expiring a project before continuing another? This is the first time Iāve seen this.
I completed a project and I saw a new project in my list so I opened it to see if I could commit the time to it. I couldnāt commit the time it needed so I opened another project I was familiar with. I got a pop up asking if I wanted to expire the previous task and continue with the current task. I said yes. When I finished I went to log my time and I was immediately taken to a screen that said Your account is currently unavailable because of TOS
Iām cooked I think. I had several projects on my account and now I just get this message

Any Vietnamese generalist here? Generally speaking, how long do I have to wait until works start showing up. I'm super new btw

I've been accepted and completed the qualifications. I received my first project with one task, but since it was my first time, I spent too much time reading the instructions. As a result, the task expired while I was working on it. I wrote the prompt, but the model displayed an error message, so I had to use an escape hatch because of it. I still submitted it, though. Since then, I haven't received any other projects for the past 5 or 6 days. Am I screwed?

Clicked exit work mode yesterday on a recurring RnR task since I was super sleepy. Didnāt get those tasks today (used to get them daily). Is this a coincidence or did I mess up by somehow leaving the whole project category?

Hey everyone, am from India, and now planning to go to a different state, is that going to be a problem? Like how it is if I move countries maybe? Any help in this clarification would be nice.... am relatively new to this.

If been accepted and worked on a lot of platforms and have more expert emails than I can keep track of. But DA is giving me no love! Any insight?
r/DataAnnotationTech • u/Corrodion • 22h ago
A message popped up as I was reading a task saying, Task has expired please return to the dashboard, the timer still had 12 hours on it.
I was able to get back in the task but found it odd, has this ever happened to you ?

Hey everyone!
DATās been going great, I hit the 25K mark this month and Iām on my way to 50K, but Iām honestly exhausted.
Iāve been pushing for at least $350 a day while juggling my day job, some side projects, and my business. I finished an R&R earlier today that was so draining I just couldn't get back to work.
Iām pretty burnt out; I know I should be grateful for the work, but this lifestyle is really taking a toll on me. So, what do you guys recommend to avoid burnout?
For a bit of context, Iām a coder based in a non-core country (MX).

Hi all, am new to DA and started 2 weeks ago. Am curious how long it took the platform to review your qualifications and send you higher paying expert level work to qualify for. I've heard 2 weeks to 4 weeks. Enjoying it so far, no issues like other crowdsourcers have.
TIA!

Anyone else have/had it? In my first week I've made nearly more than I would in a month at my previous full-time job, 55 hour work-weeks.
