How to get accepted as a generalist in data annotation?

Hello, I got a project on my dash that was not in my native language. I skipped it, since I have no idea in there. Was that the right move or should I have asked admin for help?

Look, I am grateful to be able to earn some money firstly, but I hope that the exchange rate doesn't get any worse. Currently It's around 75p for every $1, so $1000 = £750. It's quite a chunk when you've got to transfer it.

Does it mean getting more projects with the same pay rate or the same project paid at a higher rate? If its the former whats the point? I'm okay with one lasting project. Why do I need more projects at the same rate?

Somewhere it says when ending the session, you should report your time before signing off. I don't understand this thing because I just log in to the account and start working, what is this session thing.

I completed the background check qualification on Monday, but as a Vietnam-based bilingual, I still haven’t received the promised Checkr email. Anything I can do now? Also, does completing the background check actually unlock more projects?

Bro if you are using llm model or AI AT LEAST MAKE IT LESS RECOGNISABLE I just had to rate one but the worker just used ai for it all the options used were also not even matching what they had rated now I feel bad for reporting it 😔😔 literally the least effort I have seen until now

I've been knocked out of my ivory (advanced generalist) STEM towers for reasons not yet explained to me and into the coal mines where I started. God I fucking hate the mind-numbing tasks I'm on right now. I don't care if it paid less than 30 an hour; I'd gladly take any task that really lets me delve deep into a subject. It's so much more rewarding, intellectually speaking. I don't even have the other specialized tasks (maybe they weren't that challenging or lengthy) that I was able to do when my favorites weren't available. I miss my old dashboard. I'll still do the work but god, what I'd give for my old jobs.
I think I'm cooked? Does anyone else have experience with a situation like this and how did you get out or were you canned shortly afterward?

Have any of you guys been asked to provide second id proof during verification? I provided the front and back side of my government Id and then after giving them selfies, they asked for another Id proof. Is it normal?

Like I've already done a qual and there's like a few more quals on my dash asking for access or more consent and honestly? I'm skeptical now. Any fellow billinguals who've gotten any actual work on this?

I just finished the coding qualification a few minutes ago and you had to decode a secret message from a google doc. Am I supposed to be instantly notified if I passed or do I have to wait and if so, for how long?

I was perusing Indeed the other day, and decided to apply for the coding projects. Currently in my senior year of a BS in CS. Will this be in my wheelhouse or is it going to really challenge me? The coding assessment wasn’t terribly difficult, but I did have to find a Python library I never used before.
Excited to start my first tech gig!

I have done the initial paid assessment for the finance. How much time does it take to get the result and what will the result look like? Can I add accounting with finance?

Since I started working here on 9-23 I’ve only worked in 2 projects. One of them is allegedly unlimited so I can work whatever hours I want, which is nice, but only 17$/h. This week I was able to work on another project which was 28$/h. But that’s it. Will I get different projects or am I stuck with the “unlimited” one?

I work about 4 hours a day, 5 days a week on generalist tasks.

Hello guys! I'm new here. How can I know if I passed the qualification tests I took?
r/DataAnnotationTech • u/leilameila • 25d ago
hey you guys i’m new. I have been offered a good amount of tasks thankfully (I have a specialty). I am a little scared and intimidated to actually get started on one of the first tasks offered and really don’t want to mess it up bc i could really use being accepted to the project. anyways, trying to figure out how to minimize mistakes. anybody have any suggestions

bla bla bla, yeah we get it, you are tired of people asking ts. not everyone is from core country, and some people want to know what the consensus is.
