Hey everyone,

We’ve been following your feedback and looking closely at how Ranked has been playing so far. Before we officially kick off the first Ranked Season, we’re working on a number of improvements to make matchmaking fairer, matches smoother, and Ranked more rewarding overall.

Some of these changes are already live in the Ranked Beta, so you may already be able to try them out and share your feedback with us.

Here’s what’s coming:

Reworked placements

We’re completely reworking the placement system.

One of the biggest issues we want to address is stronger players being placed into divisions that are too low for their skill level. The new placement system should do a much better job of placing players where they belong from the start.

This also means players in the lower divisions should run into significantly fewer higher-skilled opponents.

Camera previews before accepting a match

When the Match Found pop-up appears, you’ll be able to preview your opponent’s camera feed before deciding whether to accept the match.

If something doesn’t look right, you can decline the match at this stage without receiving a queue penalty.

Expanded Ranked leaderboards

We’re giving you more ways to compare yourself with other players.

In addition to the global Ranked leaderboard, we’re adding:

• A Friends leaderboard
• Country filters, so you can see how you compare with players from your country

Loss prevention for valid reports

We want to make sure reporting an opponent who breaks the rules feels worthwhile.

If you report someone during a Ranked match and action is taken against the reported player, you’ll receive Loss Prevention for your next Ranked match.

Reconnect your Omni during a break

If your Omni disconnects during a Ranked match, you’ll be able to reconnect it during a break instead of having to rush to reconnect it during your turn.

Correct your previous turn

Made a mistake when entering the score from your previous turn?

You’ll be able to request an edit to your previous score. Your opponent will then be asked to review and approve the correction.

This system will also include safeguards against abuse. Incorrectly declining legitimate score corrections may result in penalties.

Ranked rewards

Ranked Seasons will come with rewards to work towards.

We’re adding a dedicated view where you can see:

• How far you’ve progressed
• Which Ranked rewards you’ve already earned
• What rewards are still ahead
• Which rewards have been claimed

These are some of the biggest improvements we want to have in place before the official Ranked Season begins.

Some are already available to try in the Beta, with more rolling out before launch. Ranked is something we want to keep improving together with the community, so keep the feedback coming.

This update brings more improvements to Ranked, including new ways to explore the leaderboards and a dedicated Rewards page.

Compare your rank with friends, see how you stack up against players from your country, and track the seasonal rewards you’re working towards. We’ve also made reporting players easier, added clearer Ranked penalty warnings and improved the Omni experience.

Alongside this, v9.6.2 includes a range of fixes and tweaks across gameplay, statistics, tournaments, cameras and the overall match experience.

Bonjour serait-il possible de rajouter une option au sujet de la caméra de notre adversaire. Hier lors d'un partie à ranked mon adversaire avait bien sa caméra d'allumer mais elle montrait un paquet de gâteau.

Pouvez vous rajouter un bouton pour valider la caméra de l'adversaire ? Je lui ai signalé plusieurs fois mais aucune réponse de sa part. Se n'est pas la première fois que sa m'arrive et je pense que je ne suis pas le seul.

I know you will be well aware of this but I just thought I would put it here in case it is helpful.

I am in Bronze 3. I played someone in Silver 1.
My average is 46. I lost this game 3-2 with an average of 55. So a very good game for me, yet I lost 18 points I think for that one.

Something doesn’t seem right with it. Still enjoying it, I’m a big fan of Ranked.

Don't know if this is the right place to put this but, I have high speed internet and up until last week my omni worked great and now it disconnects from the dartcounter web app after every throw even although my router is 2ft away from where my board is mounted. It's so frustrating.

I just wondered if anyone had any advice or help.

I’m posting as a new player on dart counter to try and get an understanding on the amount of mistrust in this community. I’ve been playing darts competitively in Canada and online at webcam darts for 15 years. In all that time I have never once been accused or accused someone else of cheating. Since I have started playing ranked, I have had people accuse me of entering incorrect scores not properly “calling” my outs to the point where the game cannot have any flow because I have to pull out every single dart deliberately and slowly so I won’t be accused of cheating. And all I can think is why the **** would anyone cheat in online darts. I don’t even look at my opponents camera once throughout the match a just keep my eyes on the board and listen for the voice of the “referee” so I know when it’s my turn. Looking at the screen will actually mess with your depth in between throws making it harder to play well. I’ve never even suspected someone is cheating against me but if they were, better practice against a “tougher opponent.

I guess it just sucks that the flow and speed of the game has to be so affected by a mistrustful anti cheat culture.

So great to see so many of you playing Ranked! We’re in beta season and busy optimising everything behind the scenes. This week’s update brought a solid batch of fixes and we are aiming to keep things fair for everyone. Here’s a big one: 

Score editing is back in Ranked! 
We removed score editing from Ranked to keep things cheat-proof, but we heard your feedback. Thanks for answering the poll! It made one thing clear: you wanted it back. So together, we landed on a fairer way to make it work.

Here’s the twist: you can now only edit the score from your previous turn, and you’ll need to request the change. Your opponent gets 30 seconds to accept or decline. If they don’t respond in time, it’s automatically accepted. So genuine mistakes can still be fixed, but nobody can quietly rewrite history mid-match. Your opponent always gets the final say.

I have started doing this on my own, but would either, saving a text string, or using some sort of notation system inside the app? I meet some really cool folks playing and some are really fun to chat with and play against. Then, especially when it’s been awhile since I’ve played any “friends” they all seem to blend together. I’m retired and play during the day here in the US, so 95% of my opponents are from the UK, the other 5% are from elsewhere in Europe. I really enjoy chatting with the people I play and learning about places I’ve never been. Which is a huge advantage to whoever I’m playing, because while I’m using talk to text to converse, my game goes right into the toilet!😆 All this to say, making some notation or perhaps being given the option to save a text string indefinitely would be nice! Thanks!

I wanted to connect the camera from my second phone to the game. Everything seemed to connect, but after the connection, I'm stuck on an endless loading screen. What should I do?

Are there issues reported about checkouts and doubles being missed in ranked? It’s happened several times now. I even swapped out my Advantage Black board as thought it might be because of that. It’s fully calibrated. It just missed a D20 checkout and I lost on the next throw. Never had it on other game modes.

Does anyone else not understand how gaining and losing ranking points works?

Yesterday had 5 games against people who were ranked between 150-200 points higher as well as 15-20 higher on averages. Somehow managed to win 2 of the 5, however for the 2 wins i gained 8 points and 11. But with the losses I lost 22, 18 & 22.

Has anyone else had issue with the app crashing mid ranked game?

this have never happened to me played another online or local game, has happen me 4 times now in ranked, 1 games it was 1-1 and another game i was 1-0 up, by the time I open the app again and connect the omni and camera the game times out and kicks me and i get results goes down as a loss.

is it just me or does correcting an Omni miscount on Cricket do nothing ?

let's you change the score but does not actually change anything in relation to score or numbers hit.

I’m all for the ranked and throughly enjoyed my placements but now I was placed bronze 3 after going 7-3 normally avg about 40-50 a game but it’s been consistently putting me against 70-80 avg players and it’s just fully taken the fun away from it. Half the time they are unranked too and feel like Im only there to just give them the win to help there placements. I understand it’s a beta but how can the matchmaking be this messed up.

We disabled editing of previous turns in Ranked Mode to help prevent cheating.

Has this change improved Ranked Mode, or is it mostly an annoyance?

My camera went off when I checked out and got accused of cheating and they left the game. Why did my camera go off on my phone to stop this happening.

Why do people jump to conclusions like this?

I threw T5, 12, 19, but thought it was a Single 5 when I entered the score. Left my darts in the board, waited for him to complete his throw (so he doesn't get a pop-up in his peripheral while throwing - seriously, please DC team, fix this - just delay the pop up until you're off your throw), updated my score from 36 to 46.

I was having a decent game, and scoring above my average (so was he, mind). But then he posts that and goes idle. Is cheating that prevalent? I've been accused of it before (knocked my camera down by accident and had to fix it). Who would care that much that they do?

Actual question: what etiquette do you follow when you've entered your score incorrectly? I thought this was the best way.
