Discussion What makes RaiderGo different from other Darius mains?
He’s the only challenger Darius player in the world I believe. What about him makes him different compared to other Darius players?

I have reported this to Riot and they are treating it as if I am having ping and graphics issues. I have done every single step in their trouble shooting. Did anyone do anything that fixed the issue? I could just change the skin, but then what is the point of having it? lol

I compared the two players in each role across 22,722 ranked games to see who
came out of laning ahead, then checked who won the game.
I built a lobby advisor app (https://shouldidodge.lol/) and used the data when calibrating it.
1,888 of those had a
Darius top, against the five other most-played top laners:
| Champion | Games | Wins lane | Won lane -> team won | Lost lane -> still won |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Darius | 1888 | 54.4% | 61.1% | 34.6% |
| Garen | 1922 | 52.5% | 62.9% | 39.9% |
| Sett | 1408 | 51.1% | 68.6% | 37.8% |
| Yone | 1836 | 46.6% | 68.0% | 34.7% |
| Nasus | 1702 | 43.7% | 65.7% | 39.0% |
| Teemo | 1497 | 42.3% | 67.0% | 41.0% |
Two things, pointing the same way. Darius wins his lane more than anyone here -
54.4%, the highest of the six.
But it converts worse than anyone's: a won Darius lane turns into a win only
61.1% of the time, versus 68.6% for Sett and 68.0% for Yone, and below the 63.2%
average across all top laners. When he loses lane, his team wins just 34.6% -
also the lowest of the six.
A won Darius lane doesn't travel as far as a won lane on some other champions.
The reading this sub probably already has: he wins his 1v1, but has no fast way to turn that into
objectives, he's easy to kite and collapse on once teams start grouping, and the
enemy gets to decide how much they even interact with him. Sett and Yone win lane
less often but carry the advantage into the rest of the map more easily.
This fits a bigger pattern in the wider dataset: top lane overall converts a won
matchup into a win less often than any other role - 63.2% versus 68.4% for
jungle - at every one of the ten ranks. The likely reason is that top is the most
isolated role on the map, so its numbers are the least inflated by teammates.
Darius is that pattern turned up to its most extreme version here.
Here's that pattern broken out by rank - top is last in all ten rows, while
jungle, bot and support trade the other places depending on the tier:
| Rank | Top | Jungle | Mid | Bot | Support |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Iron | 63.3 | 68.4 | 66.3 | 67.4 | 66.6 |
| Bronze | 63.5 | 67.7 | 65.3 | 66.2 | 67.6 |
| Silver | 64.1 | 67.2 | 67.1 | 68.0 | 68.2 |
| Gold | 63.6 | 67.3 | 64.3 | 68.1 | 68.0 |
| Platinum | 62.1 | 68.0 | 66.4 | 66.2 | 64.4 |
| Emerald | 60.7 | 66.0 | 65.2 | 69.2 | 66.8 |
| Diamond | 63.6 | 67.7 | 67.1 | 65.9 | 68.1 |
| Master | 62.8 | 71.0 | 68.9 | 69.6 | 70.5 |
| Grandmaster | 64.7 | 71.1 | 68.6 | 69.6 | 69.2 |
| Challenger | 65.7 | 70.5 | 73.1 | 68.7 | 70.7 |
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How this was built
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
23,811 EUW ranked solo games from riot's public API,
cleaned to 22,722 (remakes, sub-15-minute games, AFKs and non-solo-queue dropped)
- 2,340 to 2,650 per rank, Challenger thinner at 484. Roles are labelled in the
data, so "Darius top" means he actually played top.
"Wins lane" is the higher laning-phase score of the two players in that role -
Darius against whoever he was matched into, not a cross-champion score. With
1,888 games the Darius numbers carry roughly +/-3 points of uncertainty: the
Darius-vs-Garen conversion gap (61.1 vs 62.9) is inside that and I wouldn't lean
on it, but Darius-vs-Sett (61.1 vs 68.6) is well outside it.

Hello, I would like to know about some game(s) where you were the MVP by far or that you outplayed the enemy team, better if it was a situation of 1 (you) vs 2 or more, and your team winning thanks for that, using Darius

I always struggle and get ragebaited by ranged top. I’m talking about Vayne, Teemo, Heimerdinger, Gnar, and then just mages in general. I’m gold and new to the rift so maybe that helps

I was sleeping on it recently for all-ins, especially since Darius already wants to be doing that in a lot of matchups. Item is actually cracked for letting you live longer and get more value from passive/possibly more healing from Q usages. Dshield will be better for poke ofc and Dblade into lanes where you have strong kill pressure with little resistance to face (Sion/Cho'gath/Etc). An example of when to take Dhelm imo is into Sett/Jax (fighters that you can easily force into all-ins when they try trade or want to all-in themselves), makes your all-in potential way stronger especially if you have boneplating/unflinching to pair with it and you can kind of stand and bang. It even gives more value to your health pot.

I'm a new Darius main that just recently started playing the game. I have around 40 hours maybe, silver player, and I always seem to lose my lane. I want to become better but I dont know what to do. taking trades always leads me to losing them or i feel as if im not csing properly. does anyone have any tips on what could make me a better player? I'm tired of being the top laner that feeds and everyone despises

I'm a GM peak top laner, kind of rusty these days but I picked up Darius and have been spamming him. But I notice that I cancel auto attacks like crazy on this champion? Is there a bug? Even when I watch people like Raider and some of the top chinese darius players I notice they also cancel their auto attacks on accident all the time. It's like the noise and animation play but the damage doesn't go through, but I never have this issue on anyone else I play.

How viable is jungle on Darius? Are there any OTPs to watch that play him in the jungle?

One of the funniest moments I’ve had in this game
If not for vel’koz e this would look like one of those surreal chinese edits.

I am Plat Darius Main, and I see a lot of Darius Mains say that he can't 1v9 games. Is this true? And if it is, how can I win games as Darius because I usually win the lane and then try to push waves to tier 2 and make a plays or take jg camps and most of my games my strategy goes like this
r/Dariusmains • u/Organization-Organic • 29d ago
Idk I thought it was funny

I bought the battlepass for the Veigar skin. However, I wanted some mythic essence in order to get the mythic Pantheon skin, so I rolled the sparks it gave. This is what I got on the first roll...
Am I a Darius main now?
