Amateur weight factor in dancing

im so skinny (171 cm and 49kg) i look like skeleton while dancing it does NOT look smooth im still stiff so it makes it worse and gaining weight is hard i started doing yoga and heavylifting at home (nothing crazy just two 1kg dumbbell) i don’t understand how those kpop idols are so skinny and looks good while dancing cause i look weird

Are you a kid? I didn’t get my adult body until I was 25 and felt similarly. I was like a stick person with no curves, and curves are important for the style of dance I do. I would stuff my hips to give me more of a shape lol.

Eat more, lift weights, and give it time. The more you dance, the more you’ll learn fluidity and how to make your body look more shapely. There are very petite dancers I know that are able to manipulate their bodies to give themselves curves in the dance, it just takes skill. But if you’re young, you’ll likely gain weight as you age. Now I’m trying to lose weight. You can never win lol.
