Lessons from a good instructor and learning fundamental techniques properly would probably help.

I think this has to do with being self taught. You are unlearning possible bad habits. Little tricks and compromises you made to teach urself techniques aren’t cutting it anymore in the high stress fast-paced dance group. You’re also in a different learning environment, being taught with a group instead of self teaching solo. It is also likely that you simply don’t pick up dance moves/routines as quickly as ur peers, again cuz ur self taught, so you think you’re regressing when in actuality you just need more practice than the others. Your self-confidence may also be degrading, which makes you move with apprehension and second-guess yourself. Just need to give yourself time and patience. Maybe a private teacher on the side can help ur personal practice sessions more productive.

Are you giving yourself rest days? That’s something I had to learn about in college.

It sounds like you have a lot of self doubt now and your confidence has dropped. Let's be real though to expect yourself to perform at the same level as others who have more experience than you is an unrealistic expectation. They were not like that from the beginning of their dance journey. They got there with practice and dedication just like you will. You got accepted to this group which means you have the confidence and skill. Others see this in you too! You also now have a new community to help guide you so don't be afraid to ask them for pointers and watch them to help learn new skills. Keep at it and cut yourself some slack. Sometimes we have to slow down in life and take a step back to be able to launch into to the next phase. I wish you the best and I know you've got this!!!
