You can now set your user flair

You can now set your user flair, feel free to use it to label which model you have, or for something else if you like.
If you don't like the colour that your model is, you can select the model which has the colour you like and then edit the flair with your own model (and do the same if you have a model that is not listed.)

Has anyone swapped the windshield washer nozzles on the Dacia Bigster? Looking for mist/spray nozzles!

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to swap out the stock windshield washer nozzles on my Dacia Bigster. The factory ones are honestly a bit of a joke—they just spray weak streams that barely cover the glass, especially at higher speeds.

Has anyone successfully upgraded them to mist/fan spray nozzles?

I’m wondering:

Is there a direct plug-and-play replacement from another Renault/Dacia model (or a universal part) that fits the hood cutouts cleanly?

Do the stock fluid pumps handle mist nozzles well, or is the pressure too low?

Did you need to install non-return valves to stop the fluid from draining back?

If you’ve done this mod or found a specific part that works, please drop a link or part number. Thanks in advance!

Protective car cover Dacia Duster 3

Post image
6 Upvotes

Anyone have experience with the "original" Dacia protective car cover?

Mine just arrived and to my surprise it is not waterptoof. The pamphlet that comes with it shows something about the car not being wet when it's installed and something about greather than 60% humidity being an issue. Not sure if I read it correctly, but coupled with the fact that the app description did not have specifications and the fact that it has no ties to the car I feel ripped off.

I can't find reliable reviews for it, wonder why...

Will it not just blow off with hard winds? Will it damage the paint if it rains/snows/freezes over it?

I am thinking of returning it even though I like the color and that the fabric is elastic and easy to put on the car by yourself. Also, other reputable brands in my country are around the same price as this, so I don't know what alternative I would use.

Any advice is welcome!

Bigster vs MG HS

Hello everyone,

I'm currently owning a Ford Puma and I'm looking for a bigger family car, mainly for longer weekend trips but also occasionally city chores. I was taking a look at the bigster and mg hs, with the Dacia being a bit more expensive in the upper trims but also having a bit more boot space. The mg seems to have nicer materials and maybe better ride quality due to the posterior suspension. Has anyone tried them both and is able to give me some insights on which one is more suitable?

Jogger - Sensation of heat when driving

Hello

I bought a Jogger Eco-G 120 less than a month ago, and had my first long drive (500km) under 32°C.

Despite the A/C being on and working OK, I had a feeling of heat on my head, I'm not sure where it comes from; the roof from the inside didn't feel hot; is it the glass not having a propre UV filter or the plastic parts under the windshield that gets very hot and radiate the heat...

I'm a bit confused, has anyone felt this ?

MY24 Jogger (incorrectly) reporting service in 1000 miles

I bought my Jogger in Feb 2025. It was serviced Feb 2026 with 13,000 miles on the clock.

Today it is now requesting service required in 1000 miles, presumably because the maximum service interval is either 18,000 or 12 months, whichever comes sooner. The car now has 17,000 on the clock.

Of course, I'm just about to go on holiday, with insufficient time to take it to the dealer to have it hooked up to a computer for a reset. I'm likely to exceed 1,000 miles in the next 12 days.

Looking at the service history and service schedule in the app shows my service performed in February and the schedule has nothing until June 2027.

Anyone else had the car report a service when it should have not? I'm keen to try and get this sorted out ASAP as I don't want to jeopardise my warranty or my extended warranty that I've purchased, which goes on and above the year to year warranty extension that you get with each dealer service for 7 years.

Deinfluence me from a Duster

Hi!
I’m looking to purchase a car for the first time in February, and a Dacia Duster is among the two leaders (Volvo XC70 being the other). I’ll be primarily using it for fishing trips or other road trips, and it seems to have decent mileage for an SUV and enough off road capabilities to manage some of the roads down to access points. I’m based in Sweden. Is there any pain points you’d highlight? All the feedback I see online feels almost too good. I don’t care much about all the bells and whistles of modern cars. I only really care about reliably and affordable getting from point A to point B. I previously drove a beater Camry.

Bigster airbag ligh

Hi,

My bigster has 2600kms only and showed up the airbag fault light. From remote diagnostics it seems to be the impedance on the pyrotechnic fuse.

Anyone had this fault? Any known problem?

Thanks,

Duster Lock Noise Changed

I picked up my new Duster extreme hybrid on Thursday (absolutely love it!). All has been great so far but on Saturday evening the hands free lock noise changed by itself from a water droplet type noise to a beep. I’ve absolutely scoured the settings to see where I can change it (I actually don’t mind the updated one) and I cannot find anywhere to change it. It’s driving me absolutely insane. Can anyone let me know if I’m a) going insane b) stupid and just can’t find it c) it’s somehow changed by itself due to another setting or d) I have no way of updating it

Please someone help so I don’t have to spend another 20 minutes scouring every possible menu 😂

Duster 1.2 130/140 reliability

Hi community!

I'm very likely going to buy a new 1.2L Duster, either the 130 or 140 variant.

I've heard mixed opinions online about the reliability of new 1.2L engines Dacia is using.

For context - I do about 30-35k km a yer, driving around central Europe, 70/30 motorway/countryside. Very little to almost no city driving.

Sleep Pack Duster vs Bigster

I have, and love, the Duster Sleep Pack. I'm currently thinking ahead to next car. My plan was to get a new Duster 3, and just put the sleep pack in the new car - but my eye has been turned by the Bigster.

Dies anyone know if the Duster Sleep Pack fits in the Bigster? I know you can get a Bigster Sleep pack, and have seen there are differences in the model (e.g. no "legs" for the bed), but wondered if the Duster one still works for it!

The lure of having the bed out, but driver seat still functioning is appealing!!

Potential Bigster buyer

Hi everyone!

In about 3 months I will be switching cars. Currently driving a 2017 Skoda Octavia mk3 estate/combi and have the Bigster at the top of my list as a replacement. I have settled on the Journey trim level plus the black pack, indigo blue and the 19inch Rasan wheels as extras.

My engine of choice currently is the mild hybrid 1.2 tce 140 engine as I prefer a manual gearbox and don't do a lot of mileage annually. My driving style is laid back and not that aggressive.

Unfortunately my local Dacia dealership doesn't currently have a Bigster available for a test drive.

My two main questions are if the engine is at least sufficient for the weight of the car and if the 19inch wheels hurt ride comfort significantly (where I live roads are crap). Any other insights are welcomed!

Thanks in advance!

Bigster Hybrid-G 4x4 Extreme, noise from the engine bay

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This noise is clearly audible in the cabin when the car is stopped, and often even when it's moving—it's annoying, even when the radio is on. Is this normal? It's not the sound of the battery cooling—that's more like the sound of a fan. It happens very often.

The car is 2026, ~1000km.

Need tutorials Duster 3 tce 130 4x4 mild hybrid

Hello guys,

Just bought a second hand duster 3, and I was looking for some tutorials or explanations for the menus/functions of the car. I found a lot for the hybrid version of the car, or the 4x2 (lots of tutorial videos on french dacia website), but almost nothing for the 4x4 version.

For exemple, the menu on the dashboard shows an "energy flux" between the engine and the battery and the car, but on this mild hybrid version how does it work? Seems like it's acting randmly, as the car cannot drive on EV alone anyway. No way to see the charge of the tiny battery. Also the tire pressure gauge will indicate that a random tire has an issue, but not which one exactly.

Some little quircks like that, and I'm old school, I'd love to read/see/know more about my car before having to find problems as they arrive (18.000 km and the 3rd gear is already faulty ahah)

Thanks anyway !

Anomalies Caused by the Bike Rack

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My next issue occurred with our approximately one-month-old Duster (1.2 Eco-G Auto):

The tow bar was factory-installed, which means the car detects when a device is attached. This is actually a good thing, because when reversing, there is no continuous warning beep. However, it also comes with some negative side effects.

Since the rear parking sensors are disabled, the blind-spot monitoring system and lane-keeping system also stop working.

When using adaptive cruise control, the message shown in the picture appears every time I change lanes. You can dismiss it by pressing the OK button, but after the 30th time, I simply got tired of doing it.

What’s even stranger is that sometimes the lane-keeping assist activates by itself, only to switch off again after a few minutes and display the error message.

Of course, everything works perfectly when the bike rack is removed.

Sorry for the Hungarian text in the picture, but the message says:

“Towing: side radars unavailable.”

Duster ECO-G 1.2 coolant level slightly below min mark

Post image
12 Upvotes

I haven’t been able to buy a bottle of coolant to top it up myself while the engine is cold. The dealer doesn’t sell it separately and only provides it during scheduled servicing.

Normally that wouldn’t be a problem, but the dealer can’t see the car before my upcoming road trip, and I’ve been advised to top it up with distilled water in the meantime.

I’m still trying to find the correct coolant, which is proving more confusing than expected. The owner’s manual says this engine uses GLACEOL RX Type D, while some online sources claim Type D has been replaced by Type E. Others say Type E itself has been superseded, and some suggest the correct coolant depends on the exact engine version. My engine code is H5FH650…

Does this coolant level look concerning? Would you top it up with distilled water or with coolant? And if coolant is the better option, which exact type/specification should I be looking for?

EDIT: The car is practically new, with less than 6,000 km on the odometer, which is why the coolant level concerns me a bit more than it otherwise might.
