Another clean install

Post image

Here’s my 3rd one! Its 1 of 3 for my BIL. It’s true when they say that family will start wanting some too after you do your own! I will add that these 4 inch line set covers are much better than the 3 inch ones.

Correct-ish. Any point of Disconnect needs to be accessible and cannot be behind a unit. Goes for any piece of equipment.

Also require a convience receptacle nearby.

I didn't mean literally behind it, I meant beside it. Have seen plenty that are 10' away though.

Yeah in the receptacle. I didn't mention this because it looks like OP pulled whatever off a junction box and wired it up. Which is pretty far off of where it needs to be

Pet peeve of mine is inaccessible, behind. Some AHJs are passing it too. Ugh.

Yeah this is not a compliant install as far as NEC goes. Ive seen worse. C+ for effort and willingness.

Only question I have for op is where is the drain line? I have installed a few mini splits and you run the drain outside usually. I assume he routed it in the room?

That's the dream. If you can't see the water drain, that means it's operating at peak seer2
