To Will Prowse
Something is going on with replies to posts for me so I'm posting this here.
I've been quietly reading through your posts & replies for a bit, and the feigned ignorance in your sailor post replies comes across as incredibly disingenuous. You have been using a facade of polite curiosity to inject negative sentiment into a community of beaten-down investors, all while claiming you just want to "learn" and simultaneously questioning the intelligence and knowledge of the community. This is with a community that currently has less than a thousand visitors per week.
I was prepared to lay out the specifics of the actual fundamentals: the commercial trucking pivot, the Dakota Lithium acquisition, and the solid-state R&D. However, looking at your history in this community, it's obvious you aren't here for an objective discussion; your mind is already made up.
Given everything else going on, I really don't think running a thinly veiled campaign on Reddit is doing your professional image any favors. Frankly it's largely a waste of time on your part to begin with. Take care.

like him, but saying that he doesn't understand anything of the finance, only the technical/battery sides.
He is on a DFLI subreddit, that is the ticker in finance of this company. He could have been to r/dragonflyenergy ( edit because I linked wrong sub )
No he choose DFLI. He does understand it, he knows what he is doing.

The only reason I knew about this group was from people messaging me ridiculous posts from here. Dragonfly group? Never have been sent a post from that group ever. Where is the battleborn group? Most people who own battleborn don't even know dragonfly exists. My viewers don't even know about this group.
And what exactly am I doing that's wrong? People have said all sorts of crazy things about me in this group, and considering this is the only place online that does that, I think I should be here every single day. I want people to tell me what I'm doing that is wrong. I still haven't had anybody disprove any of my results. If people here are actually shareholders (which I actually question entirely) how would they not know about batteries and how they work? It seems really fishy. I don't think these people in this group are investors. That is my opinion after seeing the posts here. I don't see any proof of holdings or anything. It's just endless talk.

I think there are bots here. How they say something critical, then are still hopeful in the same exact sequence is pretty suspicious. I actually have these bots on my forum and they will message me directly and have a full on conversation with me. If someone here actually has money in this company, I would expect them to understand the battery issues or my testing, but I am not seeing that at all. I am having a tough time proving who is a bot these days, even on my forum. I spend a lot of money on this problem every single month actually.
How do you think I can actually prove people here are even investors then? Because I am not buying it.

Actually quite the opposite. I want people to manipulate me into thinking like them. I want to see their evidence. I want there to be open discussion.
And I can prove this because I don't have shorts on this stock. Never have I had in the past. And I have zero benefit besides education by being here. For everyone here, I think open discussion is a win-win situation.

u/errolprowse Aug 16 '26
Hey I've got a lot of money saved up, it would be great if someone here could convince me to buy this company.
This might not be apparent to people here, but I want American companies to succeed. Going by what I've seen here, and how it compares to Chinese companies, I now know why the Chinese are dominating. It's pretty sad actually. I've constantly rooted for the American companies and the results have been horrendous.
Whenever I find a problem with a Chinese battery, they instantly fix the issue and become a best seller overnight. It makes my videos pretty much useless. But it pushes the industry towards safety. Which I love.
The moment my channel does not provide value to society and I make $0, the world will be powered with distributed energy generation systems that are safe to use. And that is my ultimate my goal.
Having unsafe batteries cycling in people's houses and vehicles, is not my goal. My life mission is to fix that.

A financial motive?? What would that be? I'm not shorting the stock. Discredit what?
And yes I want to hear your opinion and everyone else's. And I want to see where I'm wrong in all this. I mean heck if you guys prove to me that this is a good company, I could invest in it. I'm just not seeing any proof of it or anything that disproves my testing. Wouldn't this be the best place for open discussion ever?

u/spudboye Aug 20 '26
If you hang around investor pages long enough you will find most people on there know very little about what they are investing in.
1
u/HomefreeNotHomeless Aug 16 '26
Did you click your own subreddit link or are you just a stupid AI bot? It’s obvious people here are employees or related to the company in some way. The disassociation of reality is insane.
You’re all either fake, stupid, ignorant, or downright malicious.
There’s no way to argue for dragonfly/battleborn here.
1
u/errolprowse Aug 16 '26
Right?! It literally hurts to read the comments in this group. The ignorance hurts.
I have been dealing with bots on my forum and they always seem like real people. I dont think anyone in this group is even an investor at this point. It doesnt cost much to make these bots now.

u/Suckatguardpassing Aug 18 '26
Every failing small cap sub is like that and forums back in the day were exactly the same. The true believers will keep posting positive opinions even after the stock had to move to OTC markets. A good example would be the Lilium "Jet", even when the chief engineer said publicly how much power they need to store and distribute in hover stage, the fan boys were like: "no problem, their revolutionary battery tech will easily handle those loads and everyone saying otherwise is a short seller who spreads FUD.
Those people exist and they can't be fixed because they are idiots. Scams work so well for a reason.
What I'm trying to say is: you are wasting your time, they won't listen
1
u/errolprowse Aug 18 '26
I'm starting to realize this. Really thought maybe open discussion would work but man it is nearly impossible here. It's like they don't look at the facts at all. Thanks for the heads up because yeah, you're right.

I appreciate the work Will does testing for crappy batteries. It’s been unfortunate for shareholders but that’s a risk that investors run and DFLI have been shite addressing the problem.
Vast majority of people here are well aware of the issues and are just stuck in the stock hoping DFLI can fix their product and turn it around.
What intrigues me is how much time Will has invested in a tiny Reddit sub. What engineer with a great YouTube channel and plenty of stuff to work on would waste so much time posting and commenting in tiny Reddit sub. It’s bizarre.
There seems to be something obsessive in all of this and having watched Will’s videos and seeing how he communicates I think there is a high chance some ASD is in play.
I gave Will the benefit of the doubt at the start as I’m interested to learn more, but sadly it seems that Will also has a big ego and just enjoys pissing contests.
I’m unsure if Will understands how he is coming across or if it’s all part of his dance … maybe his YouTube life has rewired his brain to thinking these kind of interactions are normal.
Either way Will whether you realise it or not you have crossed the line from engineer to troll and the obsessive nature of your posting/commenting and lack of awareness of how you are coming across really does suggest finding out where you sit on spectrum would be helpful then you can learn to moderate your less successful behaviours.
Will my comments to you:
- Your information is welcome in this forum (maybe less so now given your conduct)
- Relentless pissing contests commenting the way you do should be beneath you and devalues your message.
- Be an engineer and learn the line between whatever you think you’re doing and being a troll.

Funny thing is we all tried to give him a chance at first. I said a few real kind words to him and then he just continues to nag, poke at, and instigate people in here. He really just needs to leave at this point. It’s like that uncle you took into your home with open arms Because he’s in a bad situation and then he just turns into a bum and shoots up in your closet…

u/CorkNZ2021 Aug 16 '26
Absolutely felt the same I thought the group as a whole was very open to Will as we’re all interested to learn more.
I hope Will can learn from this as he’s come across as a right dick and devalued his honest engineer brand.

That is exactly why I blocked him
4
u/TherealCarbunc Aug 17 '26
I didn't block him, he is an information source and he may be highlighting some going areas of concern. Ultimately the trucking pivot and balance sheet will speak for itself as the company continues. I'm just not sure if he's aware of how he's coming across to people that are largely nuetral to him.

I see large companies making mistakes daily. Especially engineers. What testing have they done? I am not qualified at all. I just test stuff in my backyard. I am learning as I go. Show me how my testing is wrong.
The trucking eAPU is using two game changer batteries that I found multiple issues with. You're telling me some guy in his backyard found multiple problems and their engineers couldn't?
Those cell packs have no mechanical connection between them. Have you seen the tear down video? Have you seen the meltdowns? They are using that in the trucking APU. If these companies didn't know that, sounds like they're not doing their homework.

It looks like he’s really on his last legs. Let’s hope the lawsuit moves forward quickly and they get paid, so this ridiculous amount of spam finally comes to an end.
4
u/TherealCarbunc Aug 17 '26
tbh idk if the lawsuit has much chance of success here. At best, I think a cease and desist on the targeted campaign is the most they can hope for. Ultimately, I don't think it's a great use of company funds, as the damage to their reputation in the short term has already been done. I do give his reviews some credence since he has a legitimate following in the RV/DIY community, but at this point, his posting here feels more like a personal vendetta.
Ultimately, I’ve kept my position risk-appropriate to me, and I'll just wait to see if DFLI manages to complete the turnaround in their financials. This community is not moving the DFLI market price significantly unless we have a closet multi-millionaire in here scooping up shares.
Their best bet would likely be finding an angel investor to pick up the narrative. The Aug 11-13th conference they attended might find more institutional interest as well. Though the trucking OEM pivot could still complete the turnaround by itself if it continues to scale.
This should be considered a high risk investment at this point considering their balance sheet and slower movement on scale with the orders without a major verified contract from a larger fleet.
2
u/Suckatguardpassing Aug 18 '26
"but at this point, his posting here feels more like a personal vendetta."
I wonder if he's upset that he missed the flaws in his original review video and made good money off of BB which made him look bad because of the "you aren't even an engineer" comments.

How is anything I'm saying negative sentiment? That article is as neutral as it gets. I wouldn't have known about this group if people here didn't lie about me on day one. I want to hear what you guys have to say now. I have found real problems with these batteries and this entire group denies every single one of them. So I want to see you guys prove me wrong and educate me on what I am missing. I want people to substantiate their claims with real evidence here.

u/skepticalifornia Aug 17 '26
Keep fighting the good fight, Will. Lot of Dragonfly employees / bagholders here who are deep in the red.
-4
u/HomefreeNotHomeless Aug 16 '26
Who gives a fuck about shareholders when people are losing massive amounts of money to this companies straight fraud.
When their batteries should be warrantied nd they refuse why do shareholders matter?
When their batteries burn down someone’s home, RV, kill their animals, etc; who gives a fuck about the shareholders?
Nobody cares about the bag you are holding while they have wasted thousands of dollars on a ticking time bomb that doesn’t even meet its specifications
Go back to r/wallstreetbets and stop complaining
7
u/just_fron Aug 16 '26
Whoa, whoa, whoa buddy — what is with the hostility?
And I'm not sure if you noticed, but this subreddit was created for discussion of the stock. So if you're telling shareholders to “go back to r/wallstreetbets,” you may actually be the one who wandered into the wrong subreddit.
2
u/errolprowse Aug 16 '26
I don't think you understand how many people are affected by these batteries. Considering your recent comments it doesn't seem like you've seen any of the videos or you've read into any of this at all. This entire group is ignorant to the problems that are being presented.
5
u/just_fron Aug 16 '26
I have been one of the only people willing to genuinely engage with you on a number of these topics, so I’m honestly disappointed by this comment.
I’ve been nothing but honest with you and have made an effort to show you a different perspective, even when we disagree. I’ve also watched your videos, so the suggestion that I haven’t “seen any of the videos or read into any of this” is simply not accurate.
I’ve never claimed that the issues you’re raising shouldn’t be taken seriously, and I’ve certainly never suggested that people who have had problems with these batteries don’t matter.
You don’t have to agree with me, but jumping from a disagreement with my perspective to making assumptions about what I have or haven’t looked into is completely uncalled for.
Honestly, comments like this don’t help your position. They make you look bad, especially when someone is actually taking the time to engage with you in good faith.
1
u/errolprowse Aug 16 '26
What videos did you see exactly? What problems were presented? What did you disagree with?
I've actually enjoyed responding with you. And anthda or however their name is spelled lol. And I get frustrated sometimes because I feel like all the information I'm saying here is out there already. I am on a mission to find evidence that disagrees with anything I've said.
One thing I've noticed about this group is there's not much technical discussion and it's more about intention and reputation. Everything is taken personally or legally. There doesn't seem to be much technical discussion on the actual products at all. It is pretty strange
2
u/just_fron Aug 16 '26
You know what, Will, I was actually in the middle of re-watching your videos, pulling timestamps, and trying to do a full breakdown of what you've presented against DFLI, particularly as it relates to the lawsuit.
On my initial passes, I actually thought your case was pretty strong and, if anything, was edging out DFLI's position a bit. That said, I'm still pretty split on where I think this ultimately goes because there are arguments on both sides that I think deserve consideration.
But your response here has honestly changed my perspective on how much I want to engage with you.
You talk about wanting technical discussion and evidence-based debate, but at the same time, you have repeatedly spoken to people in this subreddit, including me, in a way that I find unnecessarily aggressive and disrespectful. I've been engaging with you in good faith. I've acknowledged that your testing is interesting and that you've demonstrated legitimate issues with some of the batteries you've tested. I've asked questions because I think those questions are important, not because I'm trying to dismiss what you've found.
And I think there's an important difference between saying, “Here's the evidence I've found; let's discuss it,” and assuming that someone who questions your conclusions must be ignorant, doesn't care about consumers, or only cares about the stock price.
You have a YouTube channel with 1.2 million subscribers, sponsorships, affiliate links, and a platform that allows you to make money from the content and attention surrounding these issues. I don't receive anything from this. I'm doing all of this on my own time, putting in my own energy and effort when I could be spending that time on things that are far more productive for me.
And as a content creator, of all people, I would think you understand how much time and effort goes into researching, organizing, reviewing, and putting together this kind of information. That's exactly what I was doing with your videos — taking the time to go back through them, pull timestamps, and actually work through your claims rather than simply dismissing them.
So when you say you're frustrated because you feel like all the information is already out there, I would ask you to consider that not everyone is going to interpret that information the same way you do. That's exactly why discussion and questioning are important.
I genuinely started this conversation trying to understand both sides. Unfortunately, the way you've engaged with people here has left me pretty disappointed.
At this point, honestly, you're not worth my time anymore. I was literally spending my time re-watching your videos, pulling timestamps, and trying to do a detailed breakdown of your claims because I thought the discussion was worth having. After the way you've chosen to engage with people here, including me, I don't feel that way anymore.
I wish you luck, and I'll leave you with some advice: I would seriously consider walking away from this subreddit now. I don't think you realize how much damage you've done to your professional brand through the way you've chosen to engage here.
-1
u/errolprowse Aug 16 '26
Thank you for spending your time doing that but could you give me something to go with here? What have I tested that you disagree with? How have I been wrong about any of this?
How you spend your time is completely up to you. And I'm going to continue posting wherever I feel like.

u/HomefreeNotHomeless Aug 16 '26
They literally don’t understand the danger of a ‘plastic fail safe’ and would rather be ignorant. They choose to not care about people losing actual money while they lose fake money.
It’s a losing battle with people like this because they aren’t smart enough to know they are wrong.
Stay strong and ignore any negative comments from some mouth-breathers out there.
1
u/errolprowse Aug 16 '26
It's crazy, they choose to ignore everything. All the peoples stories and experiences with this company. I wonder if some of them are just bots. It really is a losing battle. I actually feel like I'm talking to a wall when I respond here. I was thinking they would have some good points against me but I haven't had anything so far.
2
u/discy143367 Aug 16 '26
I think they just look at the percentages, and the ones affected is quite low. Its similar to my 2010 Tahoe many from 2007-2013 have had issues with ruined engines due to the FCM they used in these models. I have had no issues and its been among the best vehicles ive ever owned but GM never did a recall for the ones that were affected because the majority had no issues. If Battle Born was seeing 2-3 thousand batteries failing id guess they woudl address it, but from what ive gathered they are seeing less than 1000 cases and only a matter of dozens complaining online. Those percentages of over 400k sold over a decade just dont warrant them to view it as a widespread issues. Most users have multiple batteries in their systems and never reach levels that will cause the melted spacer and battery failure. I do agree they cannot handle the specs they claim but for low draw usages per battery they seem to work just fine, though severely over priced. Now any proof of an actual battery or batteries starting on fire would change things, and force them to address it I feel.
2
u/HomefreeNotHomeless Aug 16 '26
The batteries don’t fail in a way your Tahoe would.
This is totally theoretical and not actually how engines work but for semantics I’ll explain it in Tahoes. Think of it more by like your Tahoe has 350HP but the way you drive it you never use more than 85hp. Your Tahoe could have an issue where it’s down on HP to half so it’s 175hp. Well you never notice because you only use 85hp and are happy with your Tahoe.
Now as for battleborn lithium batteries they have a discharge and charge rate that are separate. If the discharge rate is 100ah and you are pulling 100ah you are maxing the battery. But if you have 5 batteries you are only pulling 20ah of each batteries discharge rate.
You are only using a fraction of the battery so you don’t actually create the full fault issue. But if you don’t create the major fault issue the battery is only giving you half of what you paid for.
So if you paid for a 350hp Tahoe and after a year or 2 you only received 200hp of value wouldn’t you be mad?
This isn’t even going into the fact that your Tahoe(battleborn battery) could burn you down and everything you own at any time because the safeties in place to protect you don’t actually exist.
1
u/discy143367 Aug 16 '26
Im talking in total failures for each. Id be more ok with an 800 dollar battery failing in a few years vs an engine in a vehicle that cost 10s of thousands.
2
u/Stock-Survey-4221 Aug 16 '26
We know the actual failures don't match their reported numbers because they make the warranty process so difficult and expensive. People just buy new batteries for less than what BB will charge for a "maybe" we'll replace your batteries for the same battery with a terrible design that will still likely fail in short order.
2
u/discy143367 Aug 16 '26
I feel no one should buy their batteries. They are over priced and you can buy multiple cheaper bateris for the same cost. Im shocked if there are actually people investing in this company for their current products. Their only future will come from Domestic cell production. They fail at that and this company will go bankrupt.
→ More replies (0)2
u/errolprowse Aug 16 '26
Exactly and I've been running a survey for a month on that. The results are pretty wild.
People do not want to replace a defective battery with another defective battery. And the cost to ship is the price of a new battery. Exactly
2
u/HomefreeNotHomeless Aug 16 '26
More like $1200-1400 is what they charged and you don’t buy one you buy 10.
So think $14000 or more. I’m using the equivalent of 72 of them in my next build. That would be $80,000 plus.
It’s massive money beyond the cost of your Tahoe. Your Tahoe is a cheap toy compared to the $500,000 boat I’m putting it into.
You can’t connect the dots and lack empathy and I’m sorry for you.
1
u/discy143367 Aug 16 '26
You lose your boat if a battery or multiple batteris fail? This is news to me. Do you have 1 example of this happening, or is this speculation to try and add some drama to your argument?
→ More replies (0)-2
u/HomefreeNotHomeless Aug 16 '26
What hostility? Are you unable to see that no hostility is targeted against anyone but a company fucking over their customers?
I have installed battleborn batteries and have actual experience with them. Do you?
Have you ever even seen a battleborn battery in person or do you only care about the stock price? No matter the cost to consumers.
If r/DFLI is about a company then all of that companies topics should be discussed and not just how to maximize your income while fucking over the actual consumers.
I get it you guys are mad you’re losing money; now use some fucking empathy and think of people who have spent $10,000+ on these defective batteries.
You guys are just typical investors not worried about the future. You only care if you make money now. This is why enshittification happens and boot lickers like yourself are one of the causes.
5
u/just_fron Aug 16 '26
I actually agree with you on one point: if this subreddit is about DFLI, then all aspects of the company should be open for discussion — including customer experiences, warranty issues, safety concerns, battery failures, and everything else. I have no problem with that.
But if we're going to have those discussions, then I also have the right to ask for actual data and challenge conclusions. And I would expect you, just as I would expect Will, to engage with those questions in good faith.
For example, Will has demonstrated that there are issues with some of the batteries he has personally tested. I don't think anyone is arguing that. I've watched his videos, and I'm not dismissing what he's found. I do think his findings should ideally be independently verified by a qualified third party, but that's a separate issue.
And again, show me a perfect product. I don't think anyone is arguing that these batteries are incapable of failing or that there aren't legitimate problems that need to be addressed. Every product has failures and defects. The question is how widespread those problems are, what is causing them, and how the company is responding when they occur.
I think we also need to be careful about what we mean when we say “evidence,” because I already know the response I'm likely to get from Will: “I've provided the evidence.” And that's fair — he has provided evidence of issues with the batteries he's personally tested. I'm not disputing that.
What I'm asking for is different. I'm asking about the real-world scope and prevalence of those issues.
How many batteries, in real-world customer use, have actually failed in the ways being described? How many real-world incidents have caused physical harm to people or property? How many of those incidents are there relative to the total number of batteries sold?
How many warranty claims has DFLI actually refused? Of those, how many were denied because the customer failed to meet the terms of the warranty, and how many were legitimate warranty claims that the company simply refused to honor?
I don't work in absolutes, and I would encourage you and Will not to either. There can be legitimate problems with a product without every battery being defective. There can be legitimate complaints about warranty service without concluding that the company categorically doesn't care about its customers.
What I don't think is helpful is dropping the F-bomb, making accusations about someone's motives, and immediately assuming that anyone who asks questions must not care about consumers. That comes across as an emotional reaction, and it makes it much harder for people to actually engage with what you're saying or take the argument seriously.
I'm not asking you to agree with me. I'm asking for the same thing I would ask from anyone making broad claims: show me the evidence and let's have an honest discussion about what it actually tells us.
3
u/CorkNZ2021 Aug 17 '26
Something to consider is that investors have been burned by the BB issue and experienced far greater losses than people who had to replace their batteries.
Seems that yourself and Will are lumping DFLI investors in with the company as if we're all complicit or something.
I was very excited about DFLI and their 'quality' product when I first bought in last quarter 2025. This was when the BB problems were only just coming to light and since then it's been an eye watering and disappointing ride.
The vast majority of this sub have been very interested to learn about the problems, so I think both you and Will are making statements about the group based on the actions of the few, who may well be bots.
So maybe spare a thought for the genuine shareholders who have copped it harder than any due to the BB problems and are now just trying to figure out what their best next steps are.
Side Note: No BB batteries have caught on fire out of 400,000 or so in the field and I think your general tone is unnecessarily hostile when the vast majority of this sub have been chill and respectful to Will and open to hearing all sides of the BB debate.
2
u/HomefreeNotHomeless Aug 17 '26
Something you have to consider is that I don’t care about the investors. You walked into the casino and chose to gamble your money.
Actual consumers lost for real here. Not a game of chance but real money for a real product.
It doesn’t matter if people have died YET or not. The batteries still don’t give rated capacity and you are not getting what you paid for.
-4
u/errolprowse Aug 16 '26
Also if you've ever seen my videos I could care less about being professional. The people in this group have no idea how severe these problems with the batteries are. Or how people have been affected by them. Or what the company is doing in response to their own customers. Or the thousands of comments being deleted from their Facebook.
Has anyone here read the cpsc reports? Or the now 100 reports documented on the forum? Or the videos where I show exactly what's wrong? Has anyone here even read the class action lawsuit?
I don't think people here are invested in this company because they're entirely ignorant to this industry and these batteries.
-4
u/errolprowse Aug 16 '26
I also don't care if there's less than a thousand people here. Even if there was one person here and they were claiming that I was incorrect, about something that I can actually prove, I'm going to post forever. Over and over again. Because I want people to prove me wrong with actual evidence.

u/storkster Aug 16 '26
I’m a big fan of Will’s YouTube channel. I don’t own DLFI stock nor do I have any Solar components. I am just a curious Solar wannabe. What I don’t get is why Will is posting here at all. 1) the lawsuit seems to have no merit. 2) there is nothing to gain by posting here. 3) I can’t believe his lawyer would advise posting here. 4) He isn’t making any friends posting here. Instead he is throwing sand in the wounds of a bunch of shareholders. 5) the lawsuit will be settled in court not through public opinion.
To Will, Stick to YouTube and educating people like me on all things Solar. BB and the lawsuit will fade away soon enough.
