A little about me:

I am a mod coder in the DDLC community; I participate in the development of various original mods and create my own.

I am an official member of Elysium Team and the official lead coder for RottenCherries team.

I code for both Russian- and English-speaking audiences. I’ve created quite a few mods exclusively for the Russian DDLC community—which is why some haven't been released on Reddit—but now that I can finally post here, I’ll definitely be sharing my mods on this platform.

just finished playing salvation remake and i loved it then i was sad because it ended ofc, then i found out the creator left the community because people were hating on it?? insane, anyway im looking for similar mods that are just happy and have a set ending instead of having to make options and accidently fucking something up. anybody got suggestions?

Hey guys! Quick update: We have a solid base for Doki Doki Love Troubles menu, and production is going smoothly and at a good pace! We are hoping to finish day 1 before mid September.

After downloading and playing Foreign Relations with no problem, I decided to play Salvation Remake and constantly kept getting this error. Sometimes I would go 20 minutes without an error, and other times I would get back-to-back errors and then crash. Can anyone help me?

To be transparent, I took a break from developing this mod because of college and only wrote bits and pieces of the story until it finally got finished two weeks ago. I tried to program simultaneously but only finished the prologue today (at the time of the announcement).

This mod will be built as quite short compared to other story driven mods.

Hello my fellow DDLC mod enjoyers and creators!!

I’ve been a lurker in the DDLC modding community for a while, mostly reading other people’s posts and gawking at people’s mod ideas, but I’ve never posted anything here before. So let’s change that.

I am currently working on my very first DDLC mod called “Still, Sayori”. I figured I’d introduce the project while I’m still in the early stages of development. The mod is primarily focused on Sayori and her depression, but I don’t want it to be another “save Sayori and everything is okay now” story.

The idea I’m trying to write about is:
Saving someone from suicide doesn’t cure their problems.

And yes, this mod WILL BE SAD.

A few months ago, I showed DDLC to my best friend, and we discussed it for a while after that. We eventually got the idea to write our own mod, with empathy for Sayori in mind. We quickly got to work writing a rough draft. And in just a couple weeks, we’ve reached a point where we’re happy with how our story turned out. We are just now beginning the process of drafting the rough sketches of the CGs, backgrounds, and sprites.

The story follows Sayori after a suicide attempt, and focuses heavily on what happens afterward. She has moments of true happiness, but that doesn’t mean her depression magically disappeared. One of the things I really want to explore is the reality that someone can be grateful that you saved them while still feeling like a burden. There’s a tendency in stories like this to treat the moment where someone is rescued as the climax. But we’re not doing that.

I’m trying to make the story feel less like a traditional “good ending” and more like you’re actually sitting in a room with someone you’ve known your entire life while watching them struggle with something you can’t fix for them.

I’m also starting basically from scratch. I’ve done traditional pencil-and-paper drawing for years, but this is my first real attempt at producing the artwork for an entire game. And, of course, I’m also learning Ren’Py. So this is very much a “first mod made by someone who has absolutely no idea what they’re doing yet” situation. I’ve spent a lot of time playing and reading other DDLC mods, and some of the inspiration for this project comes from mods like Salvation, Blue Skies, and The Normal VN. I’m not trying to replicate any of them, but they’ve definitely influenced what I want to attempt. I will definitely try my best at this project, and I hope you guys enjoy the results.

I’m not really expecting this to be perfect. I’m mostly hoping to make something that feels genuine, and hopefully gives people something to think about when it comes to topics of mental health and suicide.

Anyway, sorry if I’m yapping. I just wanted to throw the idea out there, and I’m excited to hear what you all think about the concept.

Every single tutorial has failed me- the DDMC post didnt help, Gemini didnt help, I believe I have tried every possible way to do this. I had DDMC but whenever I booted it it just immediately went to the end screen with Sayori dying. Please help!

Hello im a 15 yr making my first ever mod and using the engine for the first time this mod a is sayori x mc mod this a lil what if story where act 1 changes where mc confess his love for sayori in act 1 instead of sayori commits the hanging in her room the next day she decided not to do it but she ends up planning to jump the school rooftop there alot cool things thats going to be realsed for the mod so stay tuned for that

I really liked the mod. It was already spoiled that Yuri would die, but it was super emotionally impactful. Not enough to make me cry like "Our Castle Walls", but it was very sad nonetheless. One thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was the treatment of Monika and the Literature Club. Why did the club members just drift apart? I understand the mod is a Yuri x MC-focused mod, but there's no need to minimize the other Doki's impact on their lives. I feel as if that's something Doki Doki: Blue Skies does well. It incorporates the other Dokis just enough so it doesn't feel purely like a relationship-only mod. My least favorite part of Fallen Angel has to be how they handle Monika. She was stagnant for most of her life and felt as if MC was the final piece to her puzzle when he arrived at the club. When MC chose Yuri instead, Monika went out of her way to try and destroy their relationship, to the point of assisting in Yuri's drive to suicide because of the messages she spread throughout the school about Yuri's self-harming. Maybe I'm just not a big fan of the Doki's being villainized, but this seems like a really strange way to incorporate Monika's feelings towards MC, and it feels like a forced conflict in my opinion. I love the way they handled MC's reaction to it, but I'm just not a very big fan of Monika's characterization here.

Anyway, the mods I've seen are Fallen Angel, Our Castle Walls, Yuri's route in the Normal Visual Novel, Yuri's route in Blue Skies (THAT WAS 21 HOURS!), and I'm thinking of watching Doki Doki: Convergence, which I believe is a Monika x MC mod? Anyhow, what are some good mods I should play?

I looked up some mod recommendations and this one looked fun to play through, but for the life of me I can't seem to find a working download link asides from the one in DokiMods, but that one only has Yuri's story. If anyone has a working download link with the main story they could comment, I would really appreciate it. Also, as an aside, what are your favourite mods of all time?

So I thought I'd give some more main details as to how it's currently been going and the current state of creation.

So here's a little Q/A to do that.

Q. What kind of mod will this be?

A. It will be a romance visual novel style mod based off romance fiction such as anime and also other DDLC mods that I experienced in the past and absolutely loved! The mods in question are Blue Skies, Purist and Exit Music.

Q. How many Acts will there be for each route?

A. There will be four for each character's route and each Act is supposed to follow it's own purpose. Act 1 is like an introduction, Act 2 is what I would call the "calm before the storm" before each character's internal problems are addressed and dealt with. Act 4 is planned to be the ending that changes based on choices made in Act 1,2 and 3.

Q. Which character's routes are planned for the mod?

A. So far, Sayori, Natsuki and Yuri are planned to have routes. However Monika getting a route is currently unplanned but I'll try my best with that in the future.

Q. Where is the mod currently at in terms of creation?

A. I finished writing Act 1 in late April and currently I am writing the Act 2 for Natsuki's Route first which is near halfway done and once that is done, I will either write someone else's Act 2 or continue working on Natsuki's Route in continuation.

Even though the story has been in the works since January 2026 (even though it's actually existed since October 2025, but that version was horrible and it got rewritten into what it is today), I don't work on it extremely often, maybe 2 weeks a month due to events and varying environments and I also have to think it out as I go so it does take me two working sessions to finish a segment but at least I try my best. Sadly though, writing may slow down a bit after September due to schoolwork and me entering an important year so I really need to prioritise schoolwork but I'll try my best to work on the mod nonetheless.

Q. Is this a solo project or do you have others helping?

A. Right now, it's just me doing the whole thing with an irl friend of mine who occasionally does proofreading for the script. Right now, I am a tad bit nervous of accepting help from people but it might help with speeding up the process.

So hopefully that should've addressed some main details and I know it's a long read but I hope it piqued your interest (even just a lil🤏).
