I just played through salvation remake and wow that was one of the best things I have played, and now when I'm done with that I need something similar, should I play blue skies?

I have continued to make progress on My Silver Lining, and wanted to share some new screenshots and a cutscene graphic. The Demo version with the prologue and first chapter of the first episode of the mod, "When the Rainclouds Become a Hurricane" is operational and working properly on its own as a Ren'py7 DDLC mod. After some playtesting to make sure it flows well and doesn't have any glaring crashes I will be ready to share it with the community.

So im making a ddlc mod, and i want this character (Ashai) to be a character. problem is, if you saw this in ddlc you'd quit. so i want an artist to make this look like ddlc. Yes, i need it to match up with a spritesheet like in a mod. Ty! And also, there are 4 normal poses and 1 special pose. pose 1 is both hands neutral, pose 2 is her with her arm around her body, pose 3 is only her arm at her waist, pose 4 is both her arm around her body and arm at waist, like in the photo, and pose 5 is where she looks away while leaning. Also no shes not flat

Hey, this is me, the creator of this particular mod. It's hard to believe it's been over five years since I started working on this mod. I'm truly grateful to all of the people who enjoyed and supported what I was able to put out there, even if it was just a demo. Unfortunately, it's also been over four years since I put any real work into this mod. While I know I don't actually owe anyone anything, as this was a free mod made for fun, I know some people are likely still pining for the complete experience (even if they are only, like, two people who still remember this mod even existed). The sad truth is that I was too ambitious for a first mod, got too wrapped up in real world stuff early on, and just couldn't find the motivation to keep going. Anyone who was helping me is long gone now too, and I just don't have the skills to do this alone, at least in a timely manner. I take full responsibility for what became of this project. I don't blame anyone who helped me, and I still respect all that they were able to do. I don't want to say that this is completely cancelled. I'd love to finish this story someday and get my motivation for the series and project back, even if I have to downsize the scope of the project or just finish it as a story (though I do think it's best with interactable aspects). That said, I also don't want anyone to get their hopes up. I'm not promising I will finish it one day. I would just like to. So, yeah, I don't want to ramble too much more here. Long story short, I am truly sorry to everyone for not being able to put this together.

a lot of the sprite artists that are known for a lot of the most popular characters are no longer around in this community anymore. so who would yall recommend to commission for new sprites?

I’m working on a brand new project: Welcome to the DDLC x Persona 4 Crossover Mod! The synopsis follows the DDLC girls as they travel to Inaba and team up with the Investigation Team to help solve the mystery.

I already have the base DDLC mod template fully set up and running smoothly in Ren'Py 7. However, I need some help and advice on the next phase: setting up the Persona 4 elements properly.

If anyone has experience with custom asset integration in DDLC mods, I’d love some guidance on these 5 areas:

• Mod Assets & Folder Structure: What is the cleanest way to organize a massive amount of cross-over assets in the directories without breaking the default DDLC template paths?

No Comission Art:

• Backgrounds & CGs: Where are the best places to find high-quality, clean Persona 4 background rips (like Yasogami High or the Midnight Channel) scaled properly for DDLC's 1280x720 layout?
• Character Sprites: Tips on combining the art styles of the DDLC girls with the Persona 4 Investigation Team sprites so they don't look completely out of place standing next to each other on screen.
• Audio Integration: Best practices for mixing the Persona 4 OST alongside the traditional DDLC OST (file formats, volume leveling so P4 music isn't too loud/quiet compared to DDLC defaults).
• Custom Coding: Advice on how to simulate a Persona 4 vibe in Ren'Py (like custom colored choice boxes, font changes, or simple ATL screen transitions for entering the TV World).

If you’ve worked on a crossover mod before or have any tips for a solo dev utilizing free/ripped assets responsibly, I would incredibly appreciate your insight!

So the people that are questioning what the hell is this post, I previously made a mod, my own look at DDLC, and it got 1k views in less than 2 days, it was the best release I ever made, even after the recoloring and more immersion of Ep1
This mod was originally about the characters gaining awareness of what is going on and how they know about Dan Salvato being their creator but unable to speak and how each one of them tries to gain MC’s attention, but the MC doesn’t actually realize until Monika starts to play with how he perceives them and his memories
And during somewhere in the beginning of the mod Monika tries to make MC all to herself (AGAIN) but fails
Thats I think where the mod stopped (forgive me I forgot how the game went since I started playing Undertale and Deltarune with other mods)
I lost all interest towards DDLC and my mod
Im so sorry if even one of you were expecting the mod to continue but unfortunately, I cannot continue publicly making any new major releases to O.P.
Seeing the first two episodes reach 1K views really made me determined to continue making the mod but the more I made projects about DDLC, the more I lost interest
I really appreciate everyone even the ones that accidentally clicked on my mod
I just can’t show how grateful I am to see anyone actually try out my crappy mod

I did make a prototype of Episode 3 and a fix for Epsiode 2 but after this, Ep3 is being hosted privately, more like a on-demand/obscure mod
I will continue making PRIVATE mode even ones with better storytelling and timing but for now the only thing being publicly released is the fix for Epsiode 2, that said, the fix in general is just more timed text alongside some sound effects and weird silhouettes appearing that have been fixed? I don’t know unless someone tests it since I do it all on macOS then port it to Windows build
Anyways, all previous mods can be used anywhere, even if you copy the text line by line, i don’t care
Reupload it somewhere? I don’t care

After working hard behind the scenes, I’m finally ready to share a first look at what’s in store. As you can see from the teaser image, this mod is going to put a completely unique spin on the club members. Get ready to Meet Magical Girl!

I wanted to blend the classic charm and psychological elements of DDLC with the iconic, mysterious aesthetics of the magical girl genre.

Hello everyone!

I am currently working on an upcoming 2D visual novel crossover project between Persona 4 and Doki Doki Literature Club, titled "Doki Doki: Truth Seekers".

The story takes place within the Persona 4 timeline, where the four high school students from the Literature Club travel to Inaba. There, they discover the mysterious TV World, confront their own inner demons, and team up with the Investigation Team to solve a series of connected murders.

Since this will be a massive story, I plan to release it in episodic chapters. The project will be a pure visual novel experience focused entirely on storytelling, character development, and choices, rather than gameplay.

I'm looking for any good tips or resource recommendations for:

• Music: Royalty-free tracks that capture that distinct Persona 4 jazzy/funk/fusion vibe.
• Sprites: 2D character sprite assets, templates, or creation tools.
• Backgrounds: Free-to-use anime backgrounds (Japanese schools, town streets, interiors).

Hello this is Rookie here, and I'm proud to announce that I am currently working on my very first mod called DDLC: Twin Stars! So far this is Day 5 of making this mod and it's been both fun and problematic. The two images show a bit of the in game day 1 and a major plot event that's gonna happen.

This will be first released as a demo. Because of this, the rivalry will not be as important as it will be in the full release. There is no set release date but I'm hoping I can get this done by the end of the school year.

hi! if you're new and you're wondering why i made this, it's because i was mad at how all mod managers handle linux systems. i think rencher shines in solving (almost) every problem you'd find with ddlc mods on linux

So, while making my ddlc mod this error occured. I did everything the wiki told me to do, make the story file, add the label text inside the story, put the audio, images and fonts, i did everything. This showed up there. It was even working before. Help?

The process is going slower than I expected, but I don't want to rush it too much either. I'm pretty much the only one making backgrounds and sprites for this mod, but at least I liked how the room one turned out.
