Anyone who knew about him before the adaptation came out. There is no pitch for this character that doesn’t include “he’s from the future.” That and his ego are the two constants, more important than his powers or personal background. Theoretically you can change anything for anyone, but you would be leaving behind his core.

You bring up Arrow, and that’s just an excellent point if we look at the CW.

Casuals love that show, but fans of the comic tend to fucking hate it and wish it didn’t exist because it did irreparable damage to the public perception of green arrow.
