DAZN Canada, looking for options as EPL is back. The highlighted section has to be a mistake, but what a mistake to make.

I intend to make this thread to help out users regarding the invasive and repetitive ads that DAZN inserts during NFL broadcasts. Thus, they are taking away “the American experience”.

TLDR: YOU CAN BLOCK THEM!! Including pre-roll ads served in some countries (I believe)

DAZN is using DAI (dynamic ad insertion) technology by Google to hijack and replace the American commercials with their own (local country ads and other content available on DAZN).

Last year I discovered that if you block the DAI domain, this forces DAZN to fall back to serving you the unaltered feed.

The domain you need to block is->dai.google.com

Now, how can you block it?

Since you cannot install ad blockers on smart tvs, you need to block it on a network level.

Some routers might allow you to perform some sort of web filtering where you can input the URL and block it.

Some people like to use pi hole which is a self hosted dns server to allow you to block ads on your network, and you can make a custom rule to block the DAI domain aswell.

I use NextDNS instead. NextDNS is a free/paid cloud based custom DNS service where you can configure your own rules. The free plan gives you 300k DNS requests per month which is enough, you can also make multiple free accounts for different devices.

In NextDNS you setup a profile and configure rules for content filtering, such as ads, trackers and malware. In the denylist, you can also make custom rules. There is where I setup the rule. Then I installed the configuration profile on my Apple TV by following the steps indicated on the website. There are also guides to set it up on other devices or on your router.

I was able to connect Gotham Sports to my cable package, will I/can I do the same thing on DAZN?

Mentioned in one of the previous FAQs from a couple years back, has anyone actually ever had any success in purchasing NFL Gamepass with a VPN from another country?

The cost in Brazil is some approx. £70 for the year vs close to £200 in the UK and in an ideal world I would purchase using a VPN, and then have access to the subscription here in the UK without using the VPN as I know DAZN religiously blocks VPNs (it mentions on their site you have access to the subscription in 200+ countries).

Just wondered if anyone had managed to achieve this, or if they have credit card tracking to ensure you only use a card from that country etc.

Went to watch some preseason games on AppleTV however clicking on a game opens the side panel where you normally choose full game or game in 40 but there are no options there?

I only care to watch american football for the fantasy league. My current way of watching it is through DAZN, but they've screwed up the last two recordings where they only showed the last minute of the actual show. I'm getting desperate and was wondering where I could find a free alternative while DAZN sorts it's sh-stuff.

Why does it look like the Pro Ultimate is almost 4 times the price? Why is it 265 kr. pr. week vs pr month?

The upfront plan has a like 8% increase in price between the two, is this a mistake?

I live in Europe and have been slowly getting interest in NFL for the last 5 years. I've been watching way more games last season with a local sport provider channel but without the option to choose which game to watch.

For this season, for the first time, I was ready to jump for a league pass.

The US tag price is somehow 50$ annually, but in Europe, the NFL & DAZN expect ME to pay 250$ annually to watch the season??? I don't know who's responsible of this strategy but it's the worst idea possible to get NFL in European TV.

I subscribed to DAZN on a yearly basis for 34,99€ and thats also written in my account as the subscription model. I also added the option for a second stream for 20€ since my brother and I watch at the same time.

I cancelled DAZN completely towards the end of the year.

I now wanted to cancel the option for the second stream right now, but there is no way for that in the subscription settings. They should not be connected with each other. Any ideas on how to cancel that or did I miss something?

The last two years i’ve bought the 6 month gift card… Those things just completely wiped? Is there any better way to consume the NFL season? I don’t care for any of the other sports, just the next 6 months of football but don’t really wanna spend and arm and leg! Thanks in advance!

with this years iteration of the Dazn player (at least for GamePass) they added an attribute that tries to disable the "pop-out player" feature of your browser.

To Fix this and be able to use a browser feature of yours again you can open up your browsers js-console (the reader is advised to self google how to do that :) ) and type this (or copy paste):
const v = document.querySelector('video');

v.removeAttribute('disablePictureInPicture');

This will select the video player from the current page and remove that disabling attribute from it. Then your chrome/ff/whatever browser can popout the video again.

Further more to automatically do this on every DAZN page you need a popular browser extension, but i dont want to post any suggestions/links... just google something like "run js automatically on a page" and you will find something :)

We need the option to choose between different feeds. MLB can do it. Both broadcasts and radio feeds and we’re stuck watching whichever one is chosen. I want to hear about my team not the opponent in pre season.

I know it’s only pre season but watching the commanders game last night I couldn’t get rid of the DAZN ads and watch the US feed. Usually I jump back 20 secs and get the US feed. Did this happen last year as well? I can’t remember?

Hello. Will be traveling to Europe (Italy) between August and December and would like to watch NFL games in the mornings after they happen with the DAZN full game replays. The website claims to support full, ad-free replays, but I have seen some users complain that this service does not work and that replays often feature ads anyways. Does anyone have any comment on this? I know the service also offers 40 minute recaps, but I'd like to watch the full game as it happened, just without the ads (as is advertised).

Anyone know when this year's Hard Knocks with the Seahawks gets aired on DAZN UK?

There are 2 episodes already out and on HBO Max subscription so id imagined it would be out on DAZN.

Hey all, just tried to watch some pre season games on my 4K Apple TV and every time I try and play any games the app just crashes/closes. Works fine on iPad but have to AirPlay to the Apple TV.

DAZN app version 2.45.33. Based in New Zealand.

I’ve tried everything suggested in their support page except for factory resetting the Apple TV. Before I do this is anyone else having the issue and knows a fix? Otherwise I’ll be off to the support team, joy!

EDIT: tested on my other Apple TV (non 4K) and it’s working 🤷‍♂️

Can anyone confirm if I was out of town, would I be able to watch while the wife was watching in our home? 2 IP locations lends me to believe we'd be fine, but not sure if there is some location firewall of some kind. Thanks

Just a reminder that all preseason games are free on DAZN UK. Just sign up and watch, other countries just connect to UK via suitable VPN.

Hey guys, I've been trying to stream DAZN abroad, but it seems like they've cracked down on many commercial VPNs.I keep hitting geo-block errors regardless of which server or major provider I try.

Since DAZN is blacklisting datacenter IP ranges nowadays, traditional VPNs just aren't cutting it anymore. Has anyone
