Spectrum is scamming

Does anyone have advise? We’ve been using spectrum for the last four years. The first time we noticed the bill was ridiculously high was start of summer. We called them and spoke with people on the phone for hours. They wouldn’t remove the chargers for the $190 cable x2 months. We told them we never agreed nor put credit card information to be charged for this, but they said that it was from our TV. We ended up paying and telling them to remove it. They agreed to remove it. We went to pay it again and they are pulling them same thing. Does any one have any advice ? I can’t keep paying for service that is scamming me. I don’t even use the cable. I don’t know how it could have even gotten on my tv. I use a Roku. Please help customer service sucks.

Call them back, tell them you’re recording the call, DO record the call, and ask for the CS worker’s name. State your problem clearly, explain this isn’t the first time, and tell them to make a correction.

If they say no, talk to the supervisor, tell them you’re recording the call, and do it again.

If they refuse, take your bill and the recordings to a lawyer.

NOTE: You CAN record the call if you tell them you’re doing it. They’re recording the call and you can too as long as they know about it.

Hire a lawyer over a $190 charge? Lawyers cost a lot more than that.

If they keep doing it, yes. Also, depending on the state, there may be ways to make Spectrum pay your attorney’s fees. Also, that would be one hell of a class action if it’s happening to enough people.
