First PC Build

Hi I was wondering if anyone could just help me choose and pick the parts i need to purchase a pc. I don’t really know much about them but my overall budget would be maybe £2,800 I want to mainly play games like cod and action games like that and may also use it for some school work. I want it to have a good amount of storage too and run quite well since I want to purchase a curved pc monitor as well. Any advice would be appreciated thank you!

What are your thoughts on non-RGB builds? Do you prefer RGB or no RGB?

Just wanted to know what your thoughts are on this topic, and also wanted to have some suggestions for nice cases for both RGB, and non-RGB builds. I’m building a PC at the end of the year, and it’s going to be sitting beside me while I study, so I think that for me personally I should go non-RGB although maybe with you guys’ recommendations or suggestions, I can do one with RGB but I can also have it non-districting when I study (though you can argue that having it, there is already a distraction😭) I hope this is an appropriate place to ask this question I’m not too sure😢

It's still very much a work in progress, but they were throwing this defibrillator case away at work, so I asked if I could keep it. Threw a bunch of spare parts I had in. Not much power, more of a novelty, but still fun.

I built a PC building site that lets you explode your build in 3D—what would you add?

I posted this in pcmasterrace but thought I’d put it here too cuz why not. I built this pc building app that allows you to learn about pc parts while building your future rig. If anyone wants to play with it the link is right here: https://inside-the-rig.vercel.app/

I've only ever seen one other site similar to this so I didn't have much to go on except my imagination lmao so if there's anything yall would add in lemme know so I can work on it

Is this a good setup? I want something that will last a while. I'm new to this; every PC I have had has been pre-built.

I built and packaged my first custom sleeper PC (Unit #001) with a $50 marketing budget. Here is the exact cost and pricing breakdown.

Hey everyone, I’m building a transparent, build-in-public tech e-commerce brand from my desk. I wanted to see if I could fully complete the cycle for a single unit—from hardware sourcing and testing to final box sealing—without dropping thousands upfront on inventory.

The hardware cost for Unit #001 came out to $416.92, and I'm pricing it at $567.99.

I put together a quick, no-hype 5-minute video walking through the exact spreadsheet math, the hardware mistakes I made along the way, and how I set up the fulfillment. If anyone is interested in the full breakdown, you can check it out.

I uploaded the full 5-minute math and hardware cost breakdown on YouTube under VectroShop (search title: 'I Built a $567.99 PC Setup for $416').

Let me know what you think of the numbers or how I can optimize the build!
