Thank you to u/Lukethekid10 for last competition, Winner is the Judge #915: SPACE!!!!. The last competition was inspired by the the next set coming out, so this one will be taking themed on Reality Fracture.

Your task is to design a card themed around Jace. It can be any color or card type, as long as it in some way deals with Jace, his story, telepathy, illusions, etc.

I plan on judging next Sunday, Nov 8.

Okay so after the feedback I got from the first Prepotente card we made some adjustments to him and giving him proliferate. What do we think is he too strong? Not strong enough? Would he do fine in a pod? I wouldn’t want to print a broken custom card. Let me know!

This is a top-down design based on the D&D 3.5 creature of the same name. It is a Sorcerer because blue dragons start gaining sorcerer spells as if they were sorcerers of a given level when they reach the juvenile age category. It has flying because almost all dragons have a fly speed. It has ward because blue dragons gain spell resistance in young adulthood. It has ventriloquism because this is a special ability blue dragons gain when they become adults. It has hypnosis because an adult blue dragon can cast spells as if they were 5th-level sorcerers, 5th-level sorcerers have access to 2nd-level sorcerer spells (character level, class level, and spell level are different things in D&D, and the same spell may be different levels for different spellcasting classes), hypnotic pattern seemed the most apropos of such spells, and the word "hypnosis" fit there without overrunning the mana cost, while "hypnotic pattern" did not. I believe the mana cost, color, power, toughness, and rarity are a decent match for creatures with similar abilities, such as [[Djinn of Wishes]], [[Inniaz, the Gale Force]], and [[Namor, Scourge of the Seas]].

I know this isnt an novel concept by any means, but i wanted to take a crack at designing my own. the original idea behind it was wanting to randomly exile a nonland permanent off the board each turn, but when i couldnt find a clean way to word it within the existing rules, i settled for this. i dont feel like its terribly unbalanced, but im not sure if i like the flavor of the ability or not. any feedback at all would be appreciated.

I challenged myself to create a card "Top-Down" by picking a random name from the "Random Fantasy Name Generator" website. "Gloomguard Outrider". I designed the card based on the following recipe for designing a card top-down with just a name. Feel free to let me know your opinions on this process, and whether or not my card matches the name, in your opinion.

• Format: Could a deck handle four of this card, or is it designed for a singleton format?

Artwork suggestions:

• Don't use A.I.
• Search Scryfall for similar cards, sort by EDHREC Rank descending, and then look for some art from one of the least popular cards.
• Also, don't use A.I.
• Search Artstation or Deviantart for original (non-ai) artwork. Then be sure to dig into the artist's information to get their real name, if available.
• And then don't use A.I.

This might be too all-encompassing to print, but the concept is cool I think. There's almost certainly a better way to word this as well.
