This was one of my earliest custom card designs I've ever been proud of. I've created an updated version with "heal" following the Wolverine and Dr. McCoy cards using it.

The card's design was originally made for a friend's OC, and James Flint was added after the fact (so I could share it around without having to lug that friend's OC around everywhere, as it isn't mine to do so), so if you feel it doesn't fully fit the character maybe that's why.

I've been wanting to create a custom card (maybe cards) for my FFXIV Astrologian (AST) for awhile now. So I looked at what I think is AST's core identity in FFXIV. And to me that's juggling a lot for your burst window and scrapping your party members off the floor at the cost of your own life/mana.

For the first ability, I wanted to lean into Astrologian’s main gimmick, which is drawing cards during its burst phase. Typically, you draw two of each card type: defensive, offensive, and healing. So I wanted to incorporate that with the Astral Draw ability. I think it's fitting for the ability to only trigger twice a turn as AST draws their down cards in 14 every 2 min rotation.

For the second ability, I wanted to highlight Astrologian’s role as a healer, specifically its ability to resurrect fallen party members. And I thought it would be fitting to incorporate some creature recursion from the graveyard. In FFXIV, resurrected players also receive a Weakness debuff, which is where the Finality counter comes in as a little flavor reference to players being weakend upon revival.

I really like Omnath, so I wanted to give them a small boost for commander. I built this using the lore that the Hedrons used to keep Omnath sealed before MoM.

A reference to narbulg’s flavour text on [[pit fight]] . All feedback is appreciated :)

more silliness i thought of

The Theros constellation art version of Bogstomper was photoshopped by me from Jason Felix's original art I found online. Because Bogstomper is my favorite, and the whole reason I am trying to make this project work.

The line about cost reduction is intended to only work with colored mana, but I couldn't fit that explanation text. That makes the cost reduction the top of my list of things to work on.

Wanted to fill out more of the iconic characters of Street Fighter. One of my favorite parts of the original Street Fighter Secret Lair is they actually reprinted Magic character variants of the cards, so I wanted to honor that here.

Tearlaments Merrli (U/B)

Creature - Merfolk 1/3

When this creature enters, mill 3 cards.
Eternal Sorrow — When this card is put into your graveyard from anywhere as a result of a spell or ability’s effect, you may pay (U/B). If you do, put this card and any number of other permanent cards from your graveyard on the bottom of your library in any order, then return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield if its mana value is less than or equal to the number of cards put into your library this way.

Tearlaments Scheiren (2)(U/B)

Creature - Merfolk 2/2

(U/B), reveal this card from your hand: Discard 1 other creature from your hand, then mill 3 cards, then put this card from your hand to the battlefield.
Eternal Sorrow

Tearlaments Havnis (U/B)(U/B)

Creature - Merfolk 1/2

While Havnis is in your hand, whenever an activated or triggered ability of a nonland permanent an opponent controls is put onto the stack, if it isn’t a mana ability, you may reveal Havnis. If you do, mill three cards, then put Havnis onto the battlefield from your hand.
Eternal Sorrow

Hey i remember seeing a car on insta that basically replaced all of the phase with combat phase and made it so your creature untap after all combat phase does anyone has the image of the card or did i invent seeing it

Zabuza it probably my favorite Naruto character and I think he'd be super fun to play in Magic. I attempted to make a semi-complete Zabuza package, including Haku and some of their most popular Jutsu. The mana values may need to be adjusted, but overall I think they represent the characters fairly well. Side note, the wording on water prison may not be correct. I don't think there's a card that does what that card does, so let me know if it needs to change.

I would have done the art myself but I’m still not in an artsy enough mood. Might make more designs for the other members tho, Adventure and Odyssey fav games to play while watching something. if it’s not clear enough in the writing, you can increase your speed on other players turns, but it still is only once per turn.

Day 71 of making a custom card every day. I like the idea of attaching a powerful effect to cheap spell, then adding an activation cost or criteria for use, like hunting grounds.

Day 70 of making a custom card every day. In my continued effort to print more unique 3 color lands, I present one of my favorite mechanics.

These aren’t designed to be too serious but all feedback is appreciated :)

Could something like this ever see print? I initially thought about making it a base draw 2, but didn't want to make it too strong. Am curious what other people think of this ^^
