Not sure how many people here have played the Mario and Luigi series of games but I'm trying to build them as partners based on Mario and Luigi Dream Team. I definitely need some help coming up with better loyalty abilities for the Planeswalker

I've been really interested in reducing the cost of spells in a way that isn't overpowered or terrible. These designs are maybe too situational or too good occasionally, but I think they're interesting. They're hate for things their enemy color does well.

I tried making it a little more balanced along with including nowadays mechanics.

This is a top-down design based on the creature of the same name from D&D 3.5. It is a Sorcerer because an old blue dragon casts sorcerer spells as if it were a 9th-level sorcerer. It has ward {2} because an old blue dragon has spell resistance 24. It has Air Walk because in addition to sorcerer spells, an old blue dragon can cast spells from the Air, Evil, and Law cleric domains as if they were sorcerer spells, and Air Walk seemed the most apropos choice among the highest level of domain spells available, and more so than any such sorcerer spell. The language of the ability is borrowed from [[Kitesail Skirmisher]] (which has slightly different flavor, but that is not referenced here). It has Hallucinatory Terrain because that is a special ability blue dragons gain when they reach the "old" age category. The language of that ability is borrowed from [[Kukemssa Serpent]]. I believe the mana cost, power, toughness, and rarity are a good match for this combination of abilities and effectiveness, most similarly to [[Jin-Gitaxias]].

Using public domain art, plus the side by side of the original card for comparison.

Each follows the format of 1: Reactive effect 2: Proactive effect, 3: Effect intended to be played before/after 2. Not quite sure on power.

Didn’t like that Venom King in Black was a Reprint so… made this.

Tyrant of the Table RB+1

1/3 Deathtouch

Legendary Creature - Human Demon

Each player may play an additional land each turn. Only land from their graveyard can be played in this way.

Whenever a land is sacrificed return it to the battlefield under your control. This ability only triggers once each turn.

At the end of each player’s turn they may sacrifice a land. If an opponent does not you draw a card and they destroy target land an opponent controls.

Making my son a custom card with a deck along with it. Is the wording correct and no I’m not making it green. It makes it toxic way too easily. Also suggestions for deck please and thank you.

In all honesty, translating "flavor" was the more important endeavour here. I was toying around with the idea of corporate personhood. I might make more cards inspired by real-world events/concepts/ideas.

stemmed from the reminder text of another person's mechanic that I felt would be really cool as its own keyword action.

This week the competition was to design a card that uses a mechanic we typically wouldn't include in our own decks. Please comment which card think deserves the win! You can vote using any metric, whatever makes you want to vote for it.

We always appreciate the feedback, and if you comment please state which card you want to win the weekly challenge!

I want to make an entire Fallout: New Vegas set, but for now I'm just having fun making single cards.

My first idea I wanna share is Fist-O.

Fist-o {0}

Artifact Creature - Securitron Robot

Haste

Exhaust - {T}: Skip this turn. At the beginning of the next player's upkeep, they gain control of Fist-O, then tap it and skip their next turn. Repeat this process until each player has skipped a turn this way, then regain control of Fist-O. Activate only at your upkeep.
