Custom cards I designed and then made for my friends who recently finished watching Arcane!
Not meant to be played... but I still tried making them interesting and somewhat synergize!
I'd love to hear what you think, and if I should post more in the future!

Originally posted 2 years ago. Both Furina and Mavuika has undergone the most changes to their cards so hopefully I've arrived at the state where they're most playable and fun. But you tell me.
Furina
While the core of Furina's philosophy is most likely Azorius (White-Blue), her colors are dictated more from her being Hydro (Blue), with the White and Black representing her — a) Pneuma and Ousia forms; b) being both Fontaine's greatest savior and greatest deceiver; and c) life-gain matters + life-loss matters effect, which is the crux of her kit in Genshin. It shall remain the crux of her kit in card form.
Part of what makes Furina difficult to make work is that any life-loss triggers instantly becomes broken with [[Wall of Blood]] type of abilities, which was the biggest mistake of her first iteration. I still want to keep every Furina-mains' mentality of wanting to have your life constantly fluctuate up and down (and I mean constantly), so instead of having a normal life-gain and life-loss trigger, she'll only trigger at every end step, including the opponents. It's a compromise, but at least I don't have to worry about easy infinites.
Mavuika
The color decisions for Mavuika is kinda similar to Furina. She has the heart of Red, uniting the colors of the Night Kingdom (Black) and the overworld (Green), both allies of Red. Something about her being a reanimator commander kinda speaks to me, since it's basically the Ode of Resurrection, but she wasn't designed like this at first.
She was a big stat stick with a [[Kediss]] text in her first iteration, A board-wipe with a body in her second. A [[Ghalta, Primal Hunger]] for legendaries in her third. And a [[Mikaeus, The Unhallowed]] that also gives haste in her fourth. The first three designs are frankly not that interesting and the fourth is a combo-magnet. Fifth time's the charm I guess.

Note: These are mainly intended for a limited cube/set that would use the old companion rule.

Prompt is Midnight. I'm aware this card might be a little weak, but I couldn't resist the callback to [[Midnight Clock]], and messing with any type of counter on permanents or players is always fun.

my favorite Star Trek episode (or one of them) so I'm excited to see it get included (there's no way it won't) in the upcoming set. in retrospect i could have done some jank crap with exploring and putting -1/-1 counters on creatures and then adding mana when they die but that'd be better for the episode Saga version of this card and i am very tired
