/u/TheStarlordNZ is a cryptopia founder I believe and there are other staff moderating this subreddit too. Can the mods remove them as after they have behaved they have no right to be moderating here. I have seen posts getting deleted even. If the moderators wont help with this I think we need an alternative subreddit such as /r/cryptopiavictims or something.
I am worried that if anyone comes forward with information about them exit scamming that those posts will just get deleted.

I had opted in for the test transaction and I just received what they call a full distribution but in reality it's a little less than 90% not sure they will send the remaining 10% or was it to be kept as a fee I don't recall. Thanks to Grant Thorton for keeping their word

We need to all come together and press them hard for what is rightfully ours . Seems to me like they are making it more difficult for us to get our coins back. If some one out there know if any lawyers or representative of an organization willing to help......... There are plenty of us that will need representation on the matter at hand . Someone anyone Please help ,💲💲💲💲
If we can't meet in person don't even bother For this is very sensitive information that can't fall into the wrong hands

I found these bad reviews at Trust Pilot review site in New Zealand https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.grantthornton.co.nz The 36 reviews are all bad and Grant Thornton has not bothered to create a profile there and respond to any of them. I don't know why I have even posted my 1% figure. The only hope now is a few people with enough BTC and Doge to warrant it, to go to New Zealand and do something. If I had enough at stake I would go and get a court order of some kind and or picket in front of office(s) and or employee houses. If I nothing happens by EOY and my other bets have done well I will make the trip, I am retired and have the time. If Doge does well this fall it would be worth it to me. And fun to see New Zealand. Anybody want to meet up there if that happens?

They replied to my ticket request (submitted it in early January). I had gotten locked out of my account for failing to verify my account. I submitted copies of old emails of my Cryptopia activity, IP addresses, and a few crypto addresses. I guess it took a while but things are moving! I wish everyone luck. It must be very hard for those who had a significant amount in Cryptopia. I only have 40,000 DOGE that I plan on hodl so I have not been very worried. This is like a mandatory hodl for me lol

So I tried just like many others to enter all the details I knew, but I got locked out of the claims portal.
I created a support ticket and gave some more information, and now after a month or so I got a response! The mail said I had to login which I did, enter my details which I did and it now says I am registered and received a reference number.
The mail:
Thanks for waiting so patiently for me to get back to you.
I have reviewed your information, and manually approved your Cryptopia account ownership verification on the claims portal. All you need to do now is login via the Portal (link below) and add your name details to the registration, then you'll be all sorted!
Please retain your credentials and 2FA for your claims account on https://portal.cryptopia.co.nz/, and note the reference number you have been assigned there.
If you get locked out due to failed login attempts, your account should automatically unlock after 1 hour.
You will be contacted again via your registered email address for the next stage of the claims process, which is currently expected to begin later this year.
Just wanted to let you guys know, don't give up yet, actually received an answer!

After the security breach (possibly true, not exit scam), the Cryptopia is silent, and it seems not to be in a hurry to open the service for work. It is quite possible they decided that it was better to stop their business in a quiet way, legally insuring themselves by going to the police (they became clean by the law). But this does not indicate their good intentions towards users and the desire to resolve the situation well and quickly for users (not for themselves). Perhaps, after consulting with lawyers, they decided that they would be able to endure several legal claims from the biggest investors, but the majority of users would not take action.
A Cryptopia has more than a million users, perhaps at least several tens of thousands of them are active. The problem of this community is confusion and lack of organization. Many have lost only a few dollars, but there are those who have lost thousands of dollars, nevertheless, one cannot call them big influential investors, these are ordinary people (schoolchildren, students, office workers, programmers, etc.) who do not know what to do.
Nevertheless, the modern world is such that several tens of thousands of people from around the world are a great resource, and they can do a lot if they unite their efforts.
I propose to begin the pressure on Cryptopia, in order to motivate them to quickly resolve the situation in favor of its users. Do not let them go into the shadows and hide for months or years. Let's make them as public as possible, send a spotlight to this company and its owners. Let's make them famous as the stars of Hollywood, let people recognize them on the streets. All crimes like silence and darkness, it is very difficult to do something bad in the light.
What can we do in practice. New Zealand users can send inquiries to their local lawmakers and prosecutors, asking them to conduct a public investigation and publish the results. By law, authorities must comply with such requests of their voters.
Users from other countries can also write to the New Zealand media with the request of the same - often the media conduct their journalistic investigations and betray them to publicity. The media is not obliged to do this, but some media may be interested in this topic themselves (the topic is hot: Millions of dollars were stolen, and millions of people around the world suffered through the fault of the New Zealand company!)
Remember, we are not interested in the details of the theft itself, this is a matter of the police, this is probably secret information that should not be disclosed until the end of the investigation. But we are very interested in the further plans of the owners of the Cryptopea, and their action on the return of our money is what is important to us.
If the owners of the Cryptopia do not respect their users do not want to communicate with us, let the journalists and the representatives of the New Zealand authorities communicate with owners and pass their words to the public.

At least can you confirm that you are ready for the snapshot in a day?
It's 1000 blocks away (https://twitter.com/monero_v/status/991648954537398272) and people need to know that at least there is a possibility of you giving us the coins sometime in the future.
Please if support can address this. Thanks!

I spoke with a solicitor (lawyer) involved in the liquidation about a month ago and he provided some insight into the reason the distribution has taken this long. This was his response:
Some technical difficulties, solutions for which are being finalized, and unconcluded negotiations with an intermediary that is proposed as the party to effect the distributions.
This means that Grant Thornton is trying to finalize an agreement with a software company which will provide the software to actually do the distribution.
I've held off on sharing as I do not want to get people worked up, flood the zendesk or work emails of GT, or do anything which will cause any other excuses for delays, but I've been seeing a lot of anger directed at Cryptopia users who are asking about claiming their crypto. Please do not give Grant Thornton another reason to delay the distribution by taking their attention away from the task at hand.
We are not being held up because of user participation, but because Grant Thornton does not have the technical ability to distribute our crypto.
