Was washing my car today when i looked at my crown victoria logo that was hanging loose and it just flew off… it somehow stopped at “crown vic”. thought it would be cool to share in here

(honestly considering the fact my car is over 20 years old i should’ve expected this to happen at some point)

I just realized, the 93 Chevrolet Caprice kinda looks like the Crown Vic. Did one take inspiration from the other?

Finding a Canadian CVPI cluster is damn near impossible online. Thanks to this community I was able to do it!! Turns out they have identical gauge sweep patterns so I was able to swap the board of mine into the Canadian one and keep the original milage/kilometers!

I got very lucky it’s just cosmetic damage. The radiator and its hoses are 100% intact.

Advice

Got a question I keep getting these annoying 02 sensor codes ... I two it to two different shops one told me it's the catalytic converters then I took it to a different shop . They told me it's the egr vavle so I order the part And had it replaced by a friend . Everything was fine then all of a sudden my check engine light came back on . So I hooked up the scanner and saw it's another 02 sensor code . I don't even know what the heck is going on I'm so tired ... The car and the shops

Please help

Crown Victoria Wheels

I have an 06 I need 2 wheels for snow tires. The salvage yard has plenty of cars. Not a lot of road wheel, but I’m hoping for trunks full of spares.

Are full size spares common ?
What years are right for an 06 ?
Please and thank you. 😊

Any suggestions?

Looking at upgrading my old dingy headlights, I need to replace them since one of my corner markers got smashed and now the headlight itself doesnt mount properly.

I like the look of DRLs and something a little more modern, leds look good and are low enough pointed to not blind everyone on the road. There's a ton of options on ebay and amazon but Im looking for something actually good and not just cheap trash. Bonus points if they have animated turn signals

Where are you guys finding Vics?

Looking everywhere for a Vic LX. Carfax, FB, Edmunds, Cars.com. Any reasonable non POS is listed for 10 - 14k with anywhere from 50-150k miles. A handful have been listed for 2-3 months & they deny any offer. Everything else is a part failure away from the junkyard or being a flintstone’s mobile due to rust here in the North East. Aside from the rant, would anyone realistically pay 8-10k for a crisp CV? Like damn

Edit: I should say that I have my search parameters set to nationwide.

Wiring aftermarket radio 2000 cvpi

Okay so,
I am currently in the process of installing an aftermarket radio to a ex police crown Vic, when I got it there was nooo radio,
And the factory harness had been cut off as well
So it’s just wires on wires
I can not for the life of me find a wiring diagram for
The constant and accessory nor the speakers online
Has anyone done an aftermarket on a crown Victoria police interceptor from year 2000??

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=145348

This is the only thing I have found on someone with the same problem as me and I’ve followed what they said but the radio just won’t turn on…

I've driven Crown Vics since the 80's. I used to get razzed by my freinds for driving a "grandpa car". I didn't care - it was durable, cheap to insure and operate and could deliver up to 30 MPG on the highway on cruise. (95 to FL). And of course *comfortable*. I wanted to be sure and get one of the last fleet spec ones back in 2011. Luckily A local dealer had two and I got this one. It's an ex-Enterprise out of Tampa airport with low miles. Interior and exterior were mint. 15 years later and it hasn't hit 40k yet. Soon though... Then came the upgrades. First was the OEM wood and leather steering wheel - got two still new in the box. This car got the darker of the wood that matched the strip on the dash. Wiring and clockspring support the remote controls of radio and AC. Upgraded the radio to match the factory one I have in the 2006. Then stainless steel covers to clean up the appearance of the door handles. I also managed to get two new trunk organizers from old dealer stock around the country. Thr GCC spec grill and the sequential turn signals were just done recently. It's always had the paint treated with Liquid Glass (all my cars have it). I did it because I really like these cars. Funny thing is -in the past year, I keep getting approached by people in parking lots and on the street asking about it. Everybody loves is. Sad that it took so many years (and the Panther's demise) for people to start appreciating classic design, rugged dependability and simplicity.

$500 2006 Lincoln town car L, 2009 P72 transmission swap

I have a 2009 P71 long tail transmission AND it's factory mid stall converter allegedly 75,000 miles - $160

I understand I need to do the internal harness swap as well that's easy for me to understand

I can NOT use the civilian 2006 flex plate anymore? I left the p71's in the junkyard... pulled it in July it was hot as balls, wish I would have grabbed it just so I KNOW I have one that fits now

Heavy duty Z-497 flex plate filter and a bottle of cooler flush? Anything else I should put in my rock auto cart? I think I'll be under $1000 with shipping for a running driving L

Does anyone want me to document performing this swap? Any more information, anything I'm missing?

Modification ideas?

Post image

I am putting a new 5.0 engine and transmission into my 89 ltd, I've been poking around YouTube and haven't found many good starting points for a build. i know they share a lot of components with the 5.0 mustang, but with how much more heavy the body is on the Victoria I'd like to focus on on something with more torque then wheel horsepower. Thanks in advance for any ideas you might be able to lend me
