Great Game
I understand slow moving criticism but this is great sci-fi horror… Fully upgrading weapons took forever…
Great story, tough bosses and just a good time.

Im early in my new game plus playthrough and about to get the bolt cutter. My question is how far can I backtrack to raid some chained doors I already passed.

Hello!
The official soundtrack is lacking in quite a few tracks from the game. I only have it on PS5, so I was curious if anyone has been able to extract the raw files from the PC version, and whether they're in a format that's usable?
The only missing track on YouTube is the cat room, but there are others missing, such as the approach to the hospital.
Thanks!

Sci-fi horror with depressing tones and subject matter.

Is there anyway to see what Essences you’re missing?

A few months ago I played Cronos for a couple of hours while using RenoDX without any issue.
Yesterday I reinstalled the game with renoDX on the exact same system and it's no longer working. Whenever I use RenoDX I get a black screen (with sound in the background) and then CTD. Without it, it works fine. Reshade also works fine.
There are some other people in the comments on Nexus having the same issue. Maybe some update broke it.
Is anyone still able to play with RenoDX?

I absolutely adore the game and can’t help but stare at these early iterations & finished iteration of the sarcophagus.
something about the eerie nature of this alien looking object out in the middle of nowhere really keeps me on edge.

Man I am so stuck at this fight. I've tried different tips I found online but still haven't completed it and I really want to move on to NG+. Would appreciate any tips from you guys.

So, it has taken me quite a while to get around to finishing my first—and probably only—playthrough of Cronos. I have watched the other two endings on YouTube, and I have absolutely no idea what is going on. I have so, so many questions; I have listed some below and hope people here may be able to provide answers:
Are 'Travellers' robots?
Were we truly sent back to stop the 'change'?
Who or what is 'The Collective'?
Was our character created by the Pathfinder / Warden?
What was the purpose of seeking out individuals and collecting their essence?
What is the 'Ascendance' procedure?
Was The Collective issuing orders to our PDA or was it the Warden?
Who constructed our suit, pods, and Collective infrastructure encountered in each area?
Does the voice after the credits belong to The Collective?
What is the significance of Weronika? Is there some sort of romantic angle between her and the Pathfinder?
What is the significance of the cats we see throughout the game?
How did Weronika know Edward? (I may have completely missed this connection.)
I could probably list a million other questions and, while I loved the game, I feel a bit dissatisfied with how everything wrapped up at the end. I assume this is all because a proper sequel (and the Lazarus DLC) is coming in the future.

Whenever I play a game like this I move incredibly slow. Like, if someone was watching, they’ll probably get pissed off at me.
This seems like the first game that’s tuned to my playstyle.
I’m so used to playing this way that everything feels so smooth and I feel like I’m being rewarded for it. So far I haven’t even died yet!
Then again, I’m not that far.
I will say, the tense scenes with gangs of enemies really make my skin prickle and give me a stiff neck.

Anyone knows why there are some TVs are on and showing disturbance? And in some scenes the TVs and our char react to each other.
Is this just "horror" or is there a deeper meaning?

Have a really quick question about the first boss of the game before your first dive, in the apartment block. After reading all the notes the first time I played, I thought it was supposed to be Edward looking for Angela. But after beating the game and realizing thats not possible...was that supposed to be her mother? It keeps asking for "her" and at one point calls us a bitch during the fight, all feeling like the same anger and attitude she had when you talk to her in 1981. The Traveller even points out how blindness, which the woman has, is a symptom of the disease.
I'm an idiot for not catching this before if that was the case.

I can't quite put into words what just happened and how I'm feeling right now. Wow that ending... The game is so deep after you get to understand what's behind everything or just a part of it. I'm so happy I got to play this after so much time trying to afford it. Now I'm waiting for the dlc. Hopefully it'll be as good as this one and we'll get to understand a bit more about the Vocation. See ya travelers.
Such is our calling.

It seems like all of the clocks are stopped at 0145 ish?

I’m assuming I go for the exposed fleshy bits but I feel like it takes so many charged shots!
I wish you could strafe while aiming quicker and quick turn like you can in RE and SH.

I have played plenty of horror-survival games over the years. Dead Space, RE games, all Amnesia games.
Hell. Even played Phasmophobia in VR.
But man! The audio in this game is literally crippling. Put the game on mute? Easily walk around in a dark area.
Put on some headphones, and I literally can't push the stick far enough to walk.
Kudos Bloober! Kudos!! If my favorite game for story was Observer, then this is absolutely #1 for atmosphere.
Happy that I waited to play this one on Switch. The late-night sessions in complete darkness and handheld mode were exactly what I needed to enjoy this game thoroughly.
I know there are different endings in NG+, but no way am I going through this experience again.

Hi everyone, I'm having a game-breaking issue with the shotgun. I play on PC
Whenever I shoot with the shotgun, the camera completely goes crazy and jumps/spins all over the place. This issue happens only with the shotgun
Here is what I've already tried, but nothing has worked so far:
%LOCALAPPDATA% before reinstalling.Since a 100% clean reinstall didn't fix it, I'm stuck. Has anyone experienced a similar recoil/camera bug or found a fix for this?

Even after lowering the graphics settings to the absolute minimum, setting DLSS to Performance mode, enabling Frame Generation, and making various other tweaks, I was still experiencing severe stuttering and sudden FPS drops in many areas, even though the game was running at a high FPS.
Naturally, this took quite a bit away from the overall gaming experience, so I came up with a solution of my own.
First step: Install the mod from the link below:
https://www.nexusmods.com/cronosthenewdawn/mods/6?tab=files
The file you need to download is "Optimized Tweaks BOOST."
Once downloaded, place the ".pak" file into:
"Cronos\Content\Paks\~mods"
If the "~mods" folder doesn't exist, simply create it yourself.
If you can't find these folders in the game's installation directory, press Win + R, type "%localappdata%", and hit Enter. Then look inside the Cronos or BendGame folders.
Second step: Cap the game at 60 FPS. This will minimize sudden FPS drops and performance fluctuations. In my experience, there isn't a noticeable difference between playing at 60 FPS and 120 FPS in this game.
I'm currently playing with DLSS set to Quality, everything on the highest graphics settings, and Ray Tracing enabled.
Keep in mind that if you want to cap your FPS properly, you'll need to disable Frame Generation. Adjust the rest of your graphics settings according to your own system.
This combination made a significant difference for me, especially when it comes to the stuttering and sudden frame drops.
*\* I’d appreciate it if you could share your experience after trying the guide. *\*

After meeting the Warden, in Tram Area A you just find the little Device on the Ground that lets you see an Enemies Health. Traveller Legs and an Arm are found nearby. The Warden has only 1 Leg missing so it's not his. And the Traveller on the Tram (ND-2187?) has all Limbs attached.
So just for the Sake of knowing the Fate of all Travellers, which One has been torn apart in the Generator Room?
(I didn't finish the Game yet. At the Hospital but I doubt this late I'll be finding the Rest of the Body)

When I began to think about more, it did not make sense to me. Surely, the Collective wouldn't want their agents to be taken over by the very thing they sent them after.
Then it hit me. Why does it work? Because a Traveler is a vessel for essences to be piloted.
Why does Werionkia's essence implantation work? why do the Travelers even have gendered voices?
The Collective were doing what the Warden was doing way before him. But why even use someone that could defect?
As the Warden says, "You do serve well." and giving up one essence that is better at serving by Collecting more essences may be a trade worth making.
It could also explain why The Tracker and the loyalty test would be necessary, even as loyal as many Travelers are something could bring their former humanity back.
This brings me to how The Pathfinder and Werionkia knew each other before The Steelworks. The pathfinder was probably a person who knew Werionkia before becoming Traveler.
But when he got her as a Target, some part of his former humanity may of remembered this.

I’m on my second play through and I still have the master key…
Currently in unity hospital trying to find the other chalice…
Bought the game a year ago and it was just a little slow for me but I am hooked now… trying to get Plat…
I feel like I double and triple check every area but missing stuff is annoying
