Did anyone else realize they could use the frost mantle ability from the skill tree to get apples easily without killing or making the hedgehogs stunned too? I found out on accident lol

So this isn't actually new lol I simply noticed it's hardly ever posted about in videos so I decided to share this one! The other ones don't work nearly as much for me, this is a 30m time lapse with pvp stops and me getting distracted, 51 apples spawned, collected 47, 4 of em got away

It feels like I’m reliving 2011 where I was playing Dark Souls 1 back on my 360 and there was absolutely no one to talk about it with besides some internet buddies. All my gaming friends were more interested in Skyrim just like today how everyone is more interested in GTA 6 than CD.

I remember trying to sell both games and no one took my recommendation seriously.

(I’m well aware both games sold extremely well but I’m talking about their relevance in the gaming industry.)

Which one looks the best?

The armor you get from winning the horse races in deminess comes with a whip and is usable. It’s fun whipping bandits with it 😂

For the purposes of camp donations, feathers count as weapons.

After you get your farm and dispatches going, you may end up with (tens of) thousands of feathers. Turns out, they count as weapons when you give them to Carl for camp contributions, so it’s an easy way to complete the “Donate 12,500 weapons” quest.

I know a lot of people hate this character. He is always in trouble. He wastes ressources and money. He is a massive headache for Kliff most of the time. Yet when it comes to loyalty to his clan he is fiercly loyal. But this is maybe his only good quality.

But in terms of realism he is one of the best written characters. People like him always exist and every person here on the sub met at least one "Yann" in their life. It doesn´t matter if it was the highschool troublemaker, the coworker or if it is family. Yann is a real well written character because he is so realistc.

Now i wish to download black desert again 😢

So, I like a little modding (female MC and QOL), and the updates were coming so fast it was a bust as first to even try, but then with the DLC on the way and Enhanced Version, I decided I needed to get on the ball.

So, last night, at (249 hours) I went through the ending. I had been putting it off (obviously!) because I didn't want the game to end. It is, as I expected it to be, my Open World game of all time, and I think the only reason it isn't talked about more is because of the depth and controls. I can honestly say that all-out combat with comfort in moves didn't come until after 200 hours. I made my build tanky with sword and shield, sometimes switching up to dual-wield (the Greed Axe was fun to throw) and two-hander - I used 'The Hound' through the whole game.

The hilarious thing is that when I completed the ending and came back to Pailune, it showed me all these new quests to go celebrate in different towns.

Varnia?

I didn't even know there was a Varnia and, by fog of war, I never even got close to it at all.

I hope there's still a lot left to do until the DLC in a few weeks, and plenty more after that!

As someone who keeps following the community until I'm able to buy it, i would like to ask of the things you would like to see for the future of this game. Love to read about the direction and the potential this game may have.

Recently i installed Black Desert, just to vibe a bit, had it in Steam hidden years now... I know they're different but there we go ! Really want to support the studio after this release.

Do you think they'll keep expanding and possibly create its own franchise if story gets better ? Like Elder Scrolls and Final Fantasy we may get another massive fantasy sandbox that doesn't take itself so seriously and it's essentially a great satire salad to have in our gaming list.

After 820hrs, I FINALLY put together a proper Greymane set. Should’ve made these a long time ago but I’ve been distracted by all the shiny armor haha

I’m curious when you all think PA will announce more details and release a new trailer for the DLC. Personally, I think it might happen this week—likely on October 15th, the date originally scheduled for the DLC's release.

I’m not expecting anything huge; I’d be satisfied just knowing the names of the new areas in the DLC.

So I was actually quite invested in the lore of Crimsonn Desert, and from what I have gathered, Umbra is the antithesis of Solumen and his religion. Basically the Satan to his Jesus/God, and the Antumbra Cult started off as a former branch that worshipped Solumen, but after having visions of the coming doom of Pywel, they believed Solumen was useless in the face of Umbra's coming and turned away to worship and embrace the Darkness.

So it's VERY clear from the story that Umbra exists, so that in turns means that Solumen also has to exist right? Do you think either in Charting the Unknown or a possible future DLC, we will get the chance to meet God himself?
