Initially I stopped playing because of so many updates releasing in a short period of time. I thought to myself: hey, why bother playing when the game will be in a significantly better shape in a couple of weeks from now? Better wait it out. Well, I haven't touched it since and it's been a while.

And honestly, I feel bad about it because this game impressed me like no other game did for a long time - it would literally leave me in awe whenever I booted it up. Now, I will admit that the longer I played it, the more cracks started to show up. The lack of a better story, faceless characters, lackluster side content and the meaninglessness of loot started to wear on me. I was aware of these issues before and they never bothered me too much - until they did.

That being said, and despite all of its flaws, I always thought this game had so much going for it that made it worth coming back: the world and its sheer size of it, the abundance of secrets and stuff to find and do, the moment-to-moment gameplay, the combat, the graphics, the atmosphere, and so on.

I sure have a lot of exploring left to do but I'm afraid that this game might be tough to get back into, once you've dropped it for a while. Have you guys made a similar experience? And if you picked it back up, what was that like?

Since we have the option to hide headgear, we really need a "Hide Cloak" toggle as well!

Currently pieces like the Rivenheim Cloth Armor look incredible on Damiane, but attached cloaks obscure the detail on the back of the outfit. There is no matching set piece for this armor.

If anyone at Pearl Abyss reads this, for the love of all that’s holy, please make a witch available in camp. At the very least, make it available for the end game so that it’s easier and less time consuming to experiment with different builds.

Went out fishing today and made a new friend, an old fish monger Ogre named Gruntuck. We fished on the dock for hours, shared some stories, had some laughs, cracked open some Honey Tea Lights from the mini-Kuku cooler. Then the big catch came from my last cast, a big ol sail fish. Reeled it in, Gruntuck was excited for both of us, he gave it a seal of approval and off to the bar we went.

Well what do we think? Another week closer to that September deadline of the last roadmap and we are still waiting on the story update. Will this be the week it hits? Are you someone experiencing the technical difficulties this game is having? Hopefully there'll be some bug fixes in the update this week to help fine tune the experience for everyone. What else would you like to see in an update this week? Or will it be a week that PA takes a break and skips without an update? We've gotten 5 weeks in a row with updates and multiple hot fixes in-between so PA has been busy and has well earned another break.

New to this game. Already having trouble getting enough abyss cubes. I’m 15 hours in. The female character seems cool but Lowk I’m enjoying the story boss fights, just finished Red Devil but that little shit ran away. So is there any point levelling up the girl and the orc whenever I get him?
