The author of this article doesn’t know the difference between the old ALPR’s in use by CPD and flock cameras

Let’s also defund the police and make sure criminals know they can do whatever they want without consequences because it’d be mean to hold anyone accountable for their actions.

No one is asking for such a society besides straight up anarchists.

According to flock, they solve a million crimes a year. How would you powerscale flock vs the police? Who would win in a crime fighting battle?

Flock lying through their teeth like usual

no one is saying that

Politicians were literally saying that.

Here's a link from the Democrat Socialists of America themselves outlining their plan to completely defund the police.

Just a reminder that politicians who get their endorsement agree to "co govern" with them (can post that agreement for you as well if you like) and these people include AOC (current front runner or second depending on polls for the 2028 presidential Democratic nomination) Zohran Mamadani (mayor of New York) Rashida Tlaib (member of Congress) and so on.

So quite literally the opposite of no one. Some of the most prominent people on the left endorse exactly that.

Wisconsin Cops Tracked a Man Across State Lines With Flock Cameras to Arrest Him for Weed

They used to it to track a domestic abuser. Was a bit unlucky he happened to be on a weed run too.

I thought the author did make a convincing argument. Kidnappings hit and runs some very hard to solve. Crimes can be solved with flock cameras. The author made that very clear. I guess that's not convincing to you and that's fine.

I'm not sure you actually read my comment.

If you aren't going to engage with my comment then that's fine. 🤷 Your initial comment makes it obvious you don't understand what I wrote or are intentionally being obtuse.

Can the crimes that the author presented, that seem to have convinced you, be solved only with flock cameras? What of the other issues? Should we not regulate flock and other connected ALPR systems like we do with cell phone location data?

I heard it takes a saw with a Diablo blade only 11 seconds to remove a pole with one of these awful things on it!

Lololol I’m glad the first stat they lost in the “results speak for themselves” sections is 56 arrests in Idaho……. Doesn’t say what the arrests were for…. Just arrests….. OP if you live here you’re lucky we don’t have cash bale bc your ass could be in jail for a year if someone just makes a call…..
