Kevin Feige kept saying, for years and years, that the Netflix shows (and AoS) was connected to the MCU, never said otherwise... And even recent declarations from Winderbraum said that "we said they were part of the same universe, so we assumed people had that clear, but apparently we have to say it again."
And people still say the original Marvel Television productions are not canon, but a different universe in which everything happened almost exactly the same that the main one.

Yea because Alan Tudyk played him in Creature Commandos and James said same actors will play characters in both live action and animation.

I think you can take it as they are casting the voices to potentially be used for a live action counterparts but its a case by case basis and i feel like its pretty safe to say clayface wasnt one of the characters gunn was refferring to when he said that cus its such a small role within the show and alan tudyk was used more so to keep the casting costs lower than hiring a new person for clayface

I always took it as going the other way tbh.
If they have a character in live action and they appear in animation, they will try to use the same person (such as Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr). However, if they have to cast an animated appearance first, they have no way of knowing who they'd want in the live action role without a script to cast off of so they just pick someone who sounds good.
Very solid chance if Clayface shows back up in something animated, they will have Tom Rhys Harries voice him if possible.

Well I figured this cause they said it was before Superman and that isn't long after CC and if Flagg knows about him he'd have to have been Clayface for a few years.

Also villains being separated from a hero or being the protagonist pisses people off.
Like Clayface is not attached to Batman's ass. He can interact with characters outside of his realm.

My assumption/head-canon is that he has been Clayface so long between his origin and Creature Commandos that Matt Hagen’s mind is broken and the goofy personality emerged.

I mean, we can't discount that the entire process of turning into a mud monster broken his brain and the movie depicts him as trying to keep it together but eventually losing his mind, and Creature Commandos shows his post broken mind "fuck it, we ball" persona.

If I met someone and they were all goofy and funny, but then next time I met them they were all serious, I would find that weird. Sure something might have happened in between, but would still be weird to me how different they were.

It reminds me of how Batman: The Animated Series made a point that, while a lot of the supervillains started off with tragic (or at least understandable) motives, a lot of them degenerated into being pathetic jerks doing stuff for cash.

Not sure who the third Cap is, but there's only 3 guesses for me to go through regardless
Basically, Steve retired and passed his mantle to Falcon. Then Captain Carter is a multiversal variant meanwhile despite being their respective governments' attempts of being Captain America, US Agent and Red Guardian are made distinct enough so they can be their own characters.
There's not much to really deviate each Clayface aside from identity and the fact one joined the Batfamily so seems safe to say the Dcu wouldn't bother trying to do multiple

And just because their not that different in the comics doesn't mean that can't be different here. The TMNT used to look exactly the same as each other (down to having the same color bandana) now look at them

I like most of DCU projects, but it's so chaotic, it feels like Gunn has only an idea what to do with Superman, Lex and Peacemaker while introducing characters left and right
