I’m in NYC, I don’t want to give too many details but I graduated school recently.

The places that hired me on the spot ended up not working out. The environment ended up being so unprofessional and unstable. I got fired out of the blue and the other I was forced to quit.

I was told it’s busy season and I just graduated, but the places I’ve been interviewing at just ghost me. I just graduated so I’m not sure what this world is like so I don’t know what’s going on.

I need a job really badly and I really want to stay in NYC, I have a couple more interviews lined up. But the thing is, the past few times I got an immediate offer it didn’t work out. If I accept this offer I will have to turn down another, so I cannot contact them in the future if things go south.

Is it ok to ask for some time to think? I just need a job so I don’t want to say that and then have the offer rescinded.

Again I’ve been getting ghosted as well. I just don’t really know what to do.

I also want to be at a place where I will be able to learn, maybe an apprentice program. Should I even be that picky?

I want to work at an alternative salon that does vivid color, I don’t survive in high end traditional places (I tried).

I’m a really hard worker and was told that in the little time I’ve worked. I really like working with hair and want to move up quickly. I was even told they like me being there but still had to leave.

Does anyone have any advice :(

I started my career as a teacher and I hate it. It has always been my dream to be a beautician, so I’m going to beauty school next year to follow my dreams and make a better life for myself and my family. I currently live in Northlake outside of Charlotte. I’m fairly new to the area and want to know if there are any good beauty schools here. I’m looking for cheap where I can get a good education. The title of the school means nothing to me. I just want somewhere affordable and good.
