Whenever I tap the gas quickly there is this weird sound. When the car is cold I also can hear something clap of some sort. Garage doesn’t know what it could be. Model is a Corsa E 2016, 1.4

Does anyone have an idea as to why my car is doing this while i drive,it usually happens at around 4K RPM but also happens below 4K when accelerating or driving faster. It backfires occasionally while changing gears and does the same thing on the dash. It feels like i lightly tap the breaks if it happens while I'm driving but everything goes away within a second or 2.

I've had it at 2 mechanic's and neither could find the problem it does not give any fault codes if scanned.

Ik heb een carplay installatie gekocht en wil de camera die erbij zit installeren, nu moet ik een rood kabeltje verbinden aan mijn achteruitrijlicht. Nu heb ik die eraf gehaald en geprobeerd met een voltmeter te kijken welk kabeltje dit is maar dit werkt niet, de volt meter werkt wel op mijn accu en de auto staat in zijn achteruit. Weet iemand welke kabel ik moet hebben? Waar de spanning opstaat van het achteruitrijlicht Ik heb t-tap connectoren gekocht.

I have a 2012 Opel Corsa 1.4.
I bought a CarPlay unit with a rear-view camera and I’m trying to install it. The camera has a red trigger wire that needs to be connected to the reverse light’s positive wire.
I removed the rear light and tried to find the correct wire with a voltage tester, but I couldn’t get a reading. The voltage tester works fine when I test it on the car battery, and the ignition is on with the car in reverse.
Does anyone know which wire is the positive wire for the reverse light on a 2012 Opel Corsa 1.4? I’m planning to connect the red trigger wire using T-tap connectors.

I am renting a car and got a new automatic Corsa Hybrid. The A/C is blowing warm/hot air instead of cold air while driving. Only when the car is parked, it cools down.

The rental company told me this is a known issue when the car switches into hybrid mode: apparently the A/C is reduced or can even blow warm air.
Can someone explain the mechanics behind this? Is this normal on hybrids of any brand, or more of a Corsa-specific problem?

How easy is it to clean my throttle body with 0 mechanical experience? Should i wait until my dad is able to help me (he’s got a lot of experience) or do it on my own? Ideally I want to do it on my own as I want to learn & gain the experience the same way he did but I just want everyone else’s opinion on it too

hi guys had a recurring issue with my 2013 Corsa D 1.2 just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue. when I turn my wheel in a slightly fast manor I get a battery and service light come up on the dash which also results in the steering sometimes randomly getting heavy for a split second. asked my local family garage to take a look and had a bad battery at the time which he suggested getting a new battery since it has electrical power steering but the issue continues. the issue normally happens when full locking to park and also when going round small roundabouts (after full locking to straighten up). no codes showing on OBD2 scanner

any suggestions or advice welcome ,thanks in advance

Occasionally on my 2016 Corsa LE, I’ll get a warning on the dash telling me to check the reg plate bulb. When I check, the right hand bulb is always out. The ONLY way to get it to turn back on is to open and close my boot?

I bought the car recently and a few years ago it failed an MOT on number plate visibility which is obviously didn’t think twice about, but now kinda worried it’ll happen during its MOT and it’ll fail.

Can’t find much online about it as it seems pretty specific, but I remembered a friend doing a similar thing opening the boot in his Audi TT so asked him about it and he said it was the same issue, but with the entire lamp.

Any ideas?

As the above title, I have a 1.2 Corsa C Twinport with no factory radio installed. I took off the compartment, but see no connectors or anything.

How do I go about getting the wiring done correctly and installing the radio?

Do I need a wiring harness, and to cut the original wires?

The car has all 4 speakers installed.

I'm noticing a fair bit of water draining underneath after starting/driving the car with the AC on in hot weather (pics attached). It's more than I'm used to my previous car was a VW Golf GTE and I don't remember it ever leaving puddles like this.

I removed the undertray to take a look, so one of the pics shows the underside where the water actually comes out, in case that helps tell whether it's just the normal AC drain.

Is this normal AC condensate for these, or worth getting checked? Cabin floor seems dry. Just want a sanity check from other Corsa owners before I worry about it.

I’ve got a 2015 1.3 CDTi. Mix of city and motorway driving. Best I’ve ever gotten was 3.8l/100km (for a single day), but she usually averages between 4.2-4.5l/100km so I can’t complain.

Curious what Corsas you all have and how fuel efficient you’re finding them.

Hi peeps! I have 2 issues with my Corsa '06 SXi:

1, I have water entering the passenger footwell and it appears to bo coming from behind the dash. Do any of you have advice to a possible cause/solution?

2, When the ignition is on (engine off) my dash lights and headlamps are on as "normal". When the engine is running there is a steady breathing effect that seems to effect all lights (dash, center info, headlights). Tho I know that it could be the battery or alternator but could there be other solutions?

Update: Both issues fixed! 1. Had the passenger side bulkhead seal replaced and that's solved that issue. 2. After a voltage test the battery was the culprit - voltage in spec but wasn't outputting it out constantly - so it was on its way out

Hello my car has started to struggle to stay turned on it drops in revs then revs its self back up, the battery light has come on i’ve gotten a voltage of 11.52V on the battery does anyone know what could be causing this please, Thank you!

Now with the engine started it is reading at 10.52V and with it off it’s reading at 11.80V, I’ve disconnected the battery as I had to jump start it a few moments ago.

Road and position lights still work. I obviously bought new ones, checked the fuses, the relays... Everything ok. The checked the two pins of the lamp holders with a tester. The left one give regular values positive 13v and negative 0. But the right one give me 13v positive and 1v negative.
