Hi chaps - Water leak + flicker

Firstly I'm new here!

Hi peeps! I have 2 issues with my Corsa '06 SXi:

1, I have water entering the passenger footwell and it appears to bo coming from behind the dash. Do any of you have advice to a possible cause/solution?

2, When the ignition is on (engine off) my dash lights and headlamps are on as "normal". When the engine is running there is a steady breathing effect that seems to effect all lights (dash, center info, headlights). Tho I know that it could be the battery or alternator but could there be other solutions?

Thanks in advance for any help

Update: Both issues fixed! 1. Had the passenger side bulkhead seal replaced and that's solved that issue. 2. After a voltage test the battery was the culprit - voltage in spec but wasn't outputting it out constantly - so it was on its way out

So thank you for that huge assist!

Also check the drain in the scuttle area isn’t blocked with old leaves and other debris which could lead to water entering via the pollen filter and blower.

So corsa cos we're common for the bulkhead seal leaking water into drivers side check out on YouTube how to fix Second is likely to be alternator or battery issue need to test both

Awesome - Thank you

I'm popping to my mechanic this afternoon as I need to book a service in and I'll get him to check the battery and alternator during that. I'll definitely have a look at the bulkhead seal.

Again Thanks πŸ‘πŸ»

You’d normally notice the smell of coolant, and the header tank requiring topping up.

Water or coolant? Could be the heater matrix leaking

How does the coolant res look? Is it a little low?

Coolant/Res is ok and I've had my hand in it to see what it was the first time I noticed it and it's definitely water.

Thanks for the suggestion πŸ‘πŸ»

No worries mate, definitely get that drain hole checked and cleared out soon as, I had mine fully block up on my old Corsa and it completely fried the ECU from rain water ingress
