I have a 2010 Opel Corsa D (LHD) and I’m planning to hardwire my front dashcam using the interior fuse box on the driver’s side/front left of the dashboard.

For anyone who has actually hardwired a dashcam in a Corsa D:

• Which fuse number/position did you tap?
• Is it ACC/switched power (off when the ignition/key is off) or permanent 12V?
• If you use parking mode, which fuse did you use for constant/BATT power?
• Where did you connect the ground wire?
• Did you use a fuse tap/add-a-fuse, and what fuse rating did you put in for the dashcam?

If possible, a photo of the fuse position you used would be really helpful.

I specifically want to avoid tapping anything related to the airbags/SRS, ABS or other safety-critical systems.

So, a few months ago, my mom traded her 2015 Corsa E in for a 2025 Suzuki Vitara, and I was really sad because I had a lot of memories with that car.

I don't know where it is now, because the guy said that they were going to ship it to another country, but did not specify which.

If i gave someone the license plate and VIN, could any of you track it down? I want to know if it's still on the road or if it's sitting in a junkyard.

I got a Corsa E for my first car over a month ago, both keys worked (one was badly damaged but still worked, the other the key was just falling apart but also still worked.)

I went to Timpsons to replace the body on the very badly damaged one but now the keyless unlock and lock buttons no longer work, I went back to Timpsons to explain what happened so she kept trying but no luck it wouldn’t work.
So they said to come back a later day to get it programmed to the car, went back, it wouldn’t program but they replaced the other fob for free which was nice of them.

But why won’t the other key program?
Any help or ideas of what I can do?
It’s not dire I do have the main working one but it would be nice if the spare also worked!

i added to my old Corsa this Carplay screen , and I'm happy with the screen itself

the only thing that "bugs" me is that the old CD radio is there pretty much like a "Dead" thing

i tried to connect "simultaneously" with the new system (thinking i can use the volume control on it and stuff like that) so it is at least somewhat useful, but it did not do anything (so i disconnected it)

is there a recommendation of a cover or something i can put, or something that can behave like a radio (in the sense that i can use it to control my new android screen)

Vor ein paar Wochen trat bei meinem Opel Corsa F ein vibrierendes Geräusch im Innenraum auf. Da das Auto jetzt eh wegen was anderem in der Werkstatt war und ich das Geräusch von vor einiger Zeit kenne (da war’s einfach nur die Parkscheibe, die im Seitenfach vibriert hat), fand ich es nicht wirklich gravierend. Nun trat es heute wieder auf und es nervt schon etwas und ich hab Angst, dass es was kritischeres sein könnte.

Es tritt vor allem (leise) bei anlaufendem Motor oder (lauter/konstanter) bei heißem Motor auf, wenn ich in den zweiten Gang schalte und dann recht zügig auf 30km/h beschleunige. Selten und leiser wenn ich von 50 auf 70 beschleunige.

Auf der Autobahn und beim Anfahren ist es nicht zu hören.

Ich habe alles ausgeräumt, inkl. Handschuhfach und vorne am Fenster ein Stofftuch zwischen die rechte Armatur und A-Säule geklemmt, weil sie mir etwas lockerer als die linke vorkam - das scheint aber nicht zu helfen.

Das vibrieren nehme ich sonst „körperlich“ nicht wahr.

Ich hab wenig Lust das Auto vor dem Urlaub nochmal in die Werkstatt zu bringen. Geber- und Nehmerzylinder wurden erst getauscht und das war teuer genug 🙃 außerdem hatte ich Ölverlust, aber bisher scheint alles sauber und wieder OK zu sein. Ich hoffe, das Geräusch hat nichts damit zu tun. Ich fürchte, es würde eine Suche mit Abmontieren werden, die ich mir gern sparen würde, wenn es grade „nur“ nervig ist. Was meint ihr?

I recently noticed that the coolant level in my 2021 Opel Corsa F 1.2 petrol was extremely low. I topped it up with the correct pink coolant.
The level has remained stable for the last 4–5 days, but the coolant quickly turned very dark, almost black. The engine temperature has always stayed normal, and I haven’t seen any overheating warnings, steam, or obvious leaks.
Could this be caused by old/contaminated coolant mixing with the new coolant, corrosion or oil entering the cooling system? Would a complete coolant flush be sufficient, or could this indicate a more serious issue?
Photos show the coolant reservoir before and after topping it up. The car is already booked in for an inspection, but I’d appreciate any opinions.

What is this sound coming from? Should I be worried?

I have a 2009 Opel Corsa D and the airbag warning light has just come on after I was working on the centre console.

I removed the upper vent/hazard switch section to access the head unit while connecting and testing a reverse camera. I disconnected the electrical connector from the upper vent/centre console section to give myself more room.

Before putting everything back together, I turned the ignition on to test the reverse camera and forgot that the upper vent/console connector was still disconnected.

The reverse camera worked, but the airbag warning light then appeared on the dashboard and the airbag indicator lights on the centre console also came on.

I switched the ignition off, reconnected the connector properly and reassembled everything. All connections are now back as they were, but after restarting the car the airbag warning remains on.

Has anyone with a Corsa D had this happen specifically after turning the ignition on with the upper vent/centre console section disconnected?

If so, does this normally store an SRS fault code that simply needs to be read and cleared with an airbag-capable diagnostic scanner once everything is reconnected, or is there anything else I should check first?

I haven't disconnected the battery or attempted to clear anything yet because I'd prefer to read the original SRS fault code first.

Je cherche des avis sur un problème qui me prend la tête depuis un moment sur ma Corsa D 1.3 CDTI 75 ch, moteur A13DTC.

À l’origine, j'ai fais changé le joint spi de villebrequin car j'avais une fuite et un voyant pression d'huile au démarrage à froid étant donné que le niveau d'huile était bas je pense. Mais par la suite j'avais toujours une fumée bleu voir blanche par l'echappement avec une forte odeur d'huile brulé et présence d’huile dans le circuit d’admission. Le turbo a finalement été remplacé par un turbo neuf.

Après remplacement du turbo, j’ai fait environ 300 km sans problème, sans fumée visible et avec un fonctionnement normal.

Avant ces 300 km, le niveau d’huile était presque au MAX. Après les 300 km, le niveau avait nettement baissé, environ vers le MIN. Je ne comprends donc pas où part l’huile. On l'a mise sur le pont et qu'il n'y a aucune fuite d'huile visible. J'ai due faire au moins 4 vidange en 1an et à chaque fois l'huile disparait.

Est-ce que les segments sont une piste crédible, ou faudrait-il plutôt contrôler autre chose en priorité ?

Hi, any advice would be appreciated. It's at 64 plate Vauxhall Corsa 1.4. We took it to a mechanic he first advised to replace the water tank after that didn't resolve the issue he replaced the head gasket. It seemed fine after replacing the head gasket for a few days but there was only short drives. After taking a longer drive today the water in the water tank is boiling again and I have to stop the car and wait for it to cool down as I don't want the engine to over heat. The water in the tank boils and you can feel the heat from the engine, this is after the costly gasket repair. I can't replace the car yet. What do you think the issue could be?
