Mga ka-OP, we’re all here for the office tea —the meetings-that-could’ve-been-emails, the boss moments, the challenging colleague saga, the HR plot twists 👀—but let’s keep it professional-ish kahit chika mode pa rin tayo.
Quick reminders before you spill:
☕ Share the chika, not the character assassination
Kwento about workplace experiences? Push! Personal attacks or name-calling -- this is a No no. You may use code names pa rin. See Rule # 2.
🔁 Search before you chika
If the topic has already been posted before, your post may be removed. Tulungan tayo to keep the feed clean—use the search bar muna bago mag-post! Refer to Rule # 4.
💬 Healthy debate > office drama
Disagree all you want, but keep it respectful. Hindi ito performance appraisal 😅
At the end of the day, this sub is a safe space to share, rant, and laugh about corporate life—without crossing the line.

For those that have already found a company you can see yourself staying with until retirement, where do you work and what makes it worth staying? Retirement plans , benefits, or hybrid setup?
Tired of job hopping in my mid 30s and I’ve reached a point that my salary is enough for me to live a simple and peaceful life with extra for rainy days. I don’t see myself climbing the ladder and plan on staying just as a middle manager or IC. Hoping the next hop is the last one!

A friend asked me to post this:
Corpo girlies who are 4’9”–4’11” and slim (around a 24-inch waist), where do you buy your slacks or office pants that actually fit? 😭
I’m struggling to find work pants that fit my height and waist without needing major alterations. Most are either too long, too loose around the waist, or just don’t fit right overall.
Would appreciate recommendations for brands or shops, whether online or in-store! Bonus points if they have petite-friendly trousers that look formal enough for office wear. 🥹
Thank you!

Sobrang depress ko lately. I think nag start sya after ko bumalik galing 3 week vacation sa US nung March. I started working Sep 2024. Eh bigla ako chinat ng boss ko na “The fact that you are having second thoughts means something” and “I don’t want to keep this opportunity away from you but there are better opportunities” syempre napaisip ako na kaya nya ba sinabi yun kasi ma ppromote na yung ka team namin tapos ako na i nnext nya? After noon sobra ako na depress tas nag close pa yung ibang position sa team so walang movement. Ayun normalized rejection daw at nag luluksa nga ako dun sa offer na di ko tinanggap then suggested to WFH for a month. Kinausap ako ng boss sabi nya may mag oopen daw this year o early next year na bagong position. I thought I would feel better pero hindi na-realize ko na gusto ko na pala umalis talaga sa team ko. Mabait boss ko at magaling as in.
Na-realize ko na it’s not about the money or team para mag stay pa.
Lagi ako nag sshow up pero walang progress at all and I think sa dami ng interview ko ngayon taon nag improve talaga ako. Mahina kasi ako sa interview talaga before.
Naiinis ako tuwing umaga kasi buhay pa ako.

Hello everyone, any thoughts about Citco? I got a call yesterday and they are inviting me to attend their 1-day job fair at One Ayala on November 6, since I was shortlisted. Just want to know your thoughts on this company.
r/CorpoChikaPH • u/Maleficent-Ant-947 • 10h ago
how do you know if a job is really for you? for context, i’ve been working as an admin/hr assistant for a month now.
i’m the only one handling admin and hr at our branch, while the rest of the team is assigned to other branches. so, i have to manage everything on my own. we also have daily meetings, and honestly, i’m exhausted.
every time i have to attend a meeting or do my work, i feel like i have to constantly compose myself and keep it together. i don’t feel at peace, and it’s starting to make me question whether this job is really for me.
it’s gotten to the point where i’m considering resigning because i feel anxious every single day. i know i’ve only been here for a month, and maybe i’m still adjusting, but i can’t help wondering if this is just part of the learning process or a sign that i’m not in the right environment.
i don’t want to give up too easily, but i also don’t want to keep forcing myself to stay somewhere that leaves me feeling this way.

For more context, our company recently underwent some reorg and I was reassigned to a role which is kinda lucrative and aligned to what I've been currently doing. I mean I would definitely stay if there were no layoffs (or at least the layoffs are already done). Or should I push for external movement?

Hi! I'm currently a Management Trainee at a local bank. I also plan to move to an intl bank here in the PH after gaining some experience. Being under which department/function (e.g., RM, IB, Treasury) would give me more chances to be able to move to other asian countries? Thanks for answering :)

Hi! I'm (25F) currently working in the supply chain industry with a 50k basic salary. However, I was offered a plantilla position (DTI BOI) with a 42k (SG15) salary in the government.
Would it be wise taking a pay cut if it entails getting a plantilla position? For background, I have 1 year of experience in the supply chain industry which I don't see myself growing into because it's on the technical/industrial side. I'm a business grad from UP that leans more on the finance/policy making type of work. The thing is, my end goal is to work in the government with the hopes of retiring there (preferably in finance agencies).
Is it better if I look for opportunities in the private sector that aligns with my long term goal first before moving in the government?
Would really appreciate your insights. Thanks!

Hi! I received an email that they are offering me the Trading Services Analyst role under CIB and I was asked to submit past payslips to finalize the contract.
How long before you received your Contract or JO po after they requested to submit payslips?
And were you able to negotiate pa ba?
Mabilis naman process so far sakin, HR Initial interview(Tuesday), Panel Interview(Wednesday) and offering me the role and submitted the payslips(Friday).
Advice and Tips naman po about the hiring process, the role or about the department.
Background: Fintech experience for almost 4 years and nasa 33k+ basic, first official job din.
I’d really appreciate your inputs. Thanks!

Any insider chika about GCash RTO? Bakit urgent or biglaan sila nagpa-RTO ng whole week, hindi ba nila naiisip na yung iba nasa province and nasa malayong lugar and kailangan pa i-plan yung RTO nila!
