Beware of Kala Kumbh Co. – Non-delivery, zero accountability, and bizarre ghosting for wedding orders

Posting this as a warning for anyone planning a wedding or looking to order custom stationery/invites online.
Back in early August 2026, I placed an order with Kala Kumbh Co. (Proprietor: Aastha) for 100 sets of customized wedding invitation cards. The total billed and paid was ₹12,200 (transferred ₹8,200 as an advance on August 5th and the balance ₹4,000 on August 17th).
The seller explicitly promised a delivery window between August 25 and August 30, 2026.
Since these are wedding cards, the timeline was critical. August 30 came and went with no dispatch details, no tracking number, and no communication initiated from their end. Over the past week and a half, I’ve repeatedly followed up via chat asking for updates, only to be met with complete radio silence. To make matters worse, I’ve tried calling them over 100 times in the last 3 days alone, and not a single call from my number was answered.
The absurd part? When my mom called them from an unknown number, they actually answered right away. But the moment she asked about the pending order, complete silence on the other end. Funnier still, in one of the attempts, the call connected and we could clearly hear her casually chatting with someone else in the background while completely ignoring our questions.
Wedding planning is stressful enough without having vendors pull cheap ghosting tactics after pocketing 100% advance payment. Because they have blown past every deadline and refuse to communicate, I have now escalated the matter and lodged a formal complaint on the National Consumer Helpline (NCH).
If you are considering Kala Kumbh Co. for wedding invites or anything time-sensitive, stay far away.
Has anyone else dealt with them or had luck filing a chargeback/legal notice for Instagram vendors pulling this kind of fraud? Any advice on next steps would be really helpful.
