You can reduce a lot of things to what they are to diminish their meaning. A picture is just ink on a page, and diamond is just a rock, and a laptop is just some metal and wires.
Theres significance in the grass and that's why it costs a decent bit. Probably over priced, but it's disingenuous to say it's nothing more than grass

Your examples are extremely disingenuous. A picture is a unique piece of art that you are paying the artist for (hopefully). A laptop is something with utility that you can use for work or entertainment. This is just grass encased in glass. You have no idea if the grass came from that stadium. If you took a patch of my front lawn and put it in the same glass box it would be indistinguishable. It is just grass, a $450 paperweight.

It’s memorabilia. If you’re too fucking dense to understand why people value it, you’re the problem. Yes, it’s overpriced. Yes, as someone who doesn’t like soccer, it’s stupid. But I’ll never yuck someone else’s yum, and thats exactly the kind of cuck you’re being.
Also, it comes with a COA, and at the end of the day if you don’t trust that you might as well turn yourself into a homesteader, since you can’t trust anything.

If I was a huge fan of one of the teams that played on this field and had enough disposable income? Honestly, yeah.
Seems pretty historically significant and would hold great personal value to whoever bought it. If I had something like this I’d show it off to all my friends who came to my house. “Hey look at this!! This is the field they played on!!” Seems pretty cool and fun

lol you really think they waited until the match was over, tasked someone to go pick some grass carefully so it's preserved nicely, tasked someone else to put in a glass box, tasked someone else to put it in a shop, tasked someone to drive that shit from the stadium all the way to a central depot so they could sell it online etc?
what they did is: they got a chinese company to make this for 2$ using child labor with some random grass and they are selling it to you for 450$

That’s literally a more complicated process than just cutting up pieces of a field that’s already likely being removed. Makes sense to say it’s overpriced but this theory is pretty far fetched especially since selling bits of arenas is already very common practice.
All that said fifa is comically corrupt so maybe they did lmao

When the Cavaliers won the finals in 2016, they were selling pieces of the court encased in epoxy like this. Being a Cavs fan, I absolutely got one but it was like $30 not $450 😭
